For some reason, Noel's tour can be overwritten by another conversation if it's already queued up to happen. I've seen the tour both work and not work a couple of times now.

Five episodes in and just getting to the lodge. I see Gopher's still prone to the wandering path. I remember Stiv Gro Fur running through the woods to kill a little rabbit that crossed his path. Damned if the little rabbits didn't get their revenge though.
I wonder when Gopher will discover his room & bed at the Lodge, or the bunk/cot on the Frontier, and if he'll discover that sleeping is a free way to heal.
Player's bedroom is the one next to the boardroom, or dining room or whatever it is. Easy to tell, its the only bed that isn't owned, and it also has a storage you can use.
I hope someone comments the direction of where your room in Constellation is. I managed to find it on the first look around by finding a bed that wasn't owned, but I ended up not using the room anyway
Ah yes, the tour, which only seems to work if you make sure every other npc in the lodge is a few meters away and that you already have Sarah as a companion otherwise the tour is off the table xD
These little bugs could be frustrating indeed, like the one you had here where Noel doesn’t start the Lodge tour. I don’t know if this bug is fixed by now, but even with these bugs that I’m still encountering until today, I hope they haven’t distracted you from enjoying the game overall. The game is just so big and complex with many systems and mechanics that need go work together.

Very entertaining playthrough so far! Lol, how could you _not_ find your room? There are, what, 5 rooms with a bed? :) Besides, Noel not starting her tour is quite common... Bethesda must leave some things unfixed for an inofficial patch, I guess.
The bedroom layout is a bit confusing because of the doors, I also missed the tour and also couldn't find my room in my playthrough, only after returning later I managed to find it.
Exposition the episode - well you need those too... And I guess Gopher really will be great explorer - not being able to find his own room😂 As for note of this CEO about exploring - you can be both explorer and conqueror; just ask Vikings! And alien artifact... if I was those Aliens I would just troll humanity; everyone would think that they will unlock mysteries of the universe if they find all of those artifacts but all this unlock is... recipe for alien chicken sandwich ! 😂

Let's just say it's not such a good idea. So in other words, keep as much ammunition and health packs as you possibly could store. And store those artifacts somewhere safely away from you. And check back often.

I thought the Watch would act a bit like a Pipboy, but actually it is just the UI element in the bottom left so you never pull your arm up to look at it for anything (after opening that one door in the game with it and only that one time)... considering how much of a deal they made in the marketing about that stupid watch, collectors editions and stuff, i thought there would be more to it. NAH!
I hate perks that are effectively feat taxes. The worst offender are the lockpicking perks. These days, devs think level scaling is a good idea, for some inane reason, which means locks scale with your level, which means you have to spend one perk every so many levels or else you'll be cut off from opening locks, which will reduce the amount of xp and resources you get, slowing down your overall progression.

Does anyone know if companions have RNG when liking or disliking your actions? Because as the main quest progressed, Sarah's preferences appeared to be entirely random and she kept nagging me for "good" actions.

They should have a put a massive popup at the start "You don't have to loot everything anymore!". Maybe they tried to send a message by giving you a ludicrously tiny carry weight limit.

Besides, Traders are super low on money all the time so you struggle to sell the stuff. However i may or may not use a mod called "Instant scan". There are likely some to fix the other things. The Trader money thign is really annoying. And a trader in the fancy capital should have more than 5000 or 11000 credits.
"What I think I'll do is I'll hold off and keep one..." I wonder how long until we get to the point where Gopher has 6 or 7 unspent perk points he's holding on to? It might get worse than usual since Starfield has you unlock perk ranks first.
What I don't get is why the infinite safe in the bedroom isn't linked but the storage in the ship that's miles away is (never found the storage container in the basement)

@@scathson I forgot, this mod „Link lodge workbenches“ got updated and you can now link the infinite bedroom container too to the basement crafting stations. The autor had to do this because without the creation kit no one can safely say if the container in the cellar wouldn‘t reset. The bedroom container though is safe, seemingly…and yes, both are infinite.

I find it really distracting that your view snaps to and from whoever's talking like cuts in a TV show instead of staying with your first person view. Can this be turned off?
Be sure to loot the mannequin downstairs for the 3 pieces of gear behind the locked case. The exploit still works and I have fully updated the game. Put your reticle in the gap along the door of the case to get the open door prompt to appear and claim the gear without picking the lock.
I am on hour 55 in his game and it is good not great. And definitely not good enough to replace what we missed out on. After Fallout 4. If BGS stayed on schedule we would have had TES 6 3 years later. Then 3 years after that Fallout 5. 3 years after that TES 7 and next year Fallout 6. Instead we have this ok it is fine just fine game. Meh
If you're judging it by how fast they cranked games out between Morrowind and Fallout 4, I'd caution against it. They may have spent a year or two more on Starfield than they would have on TES 6 because of the 'space flight', and maybe they lost a few months due to some of the devs helping the Fallout 76 team etc. So I'd say 2020/2021 at best for TES had they skipped those games. Maybe a year earlier if there had been no COVID. But I am not even convinced COVID made that much difference. I think they just had more leeway to delay because of it. So the earliest would have been 2021 for TES6. Now as to how long Fallout 5 would then take after that, it's hard to say. But even if we got a 4 year cycle (which I don't think is feasible anymore), You'd be looking at 2025. But I'd almost certainly have preferred TES6 myself as I love TES and really want the next game. I'm just saying I think your estimates of when we would have seen TES6 and FO5 are wildly optimistic. I'd caution you to brace for at least 5 or 6 years delay before TES 6 comes out.

I had to reload 4 or 5 previous saves. Simply reloading my latest save didn't work for me, but seems to be the most common way to fix.
