    Looking for the popular opinion here... I'm running 27.5 x 3.0 tires on my bike currently and it's time for new rubber. I've got 38mm rims and I want to go with a more narrow tire. Am I able to run a 2.6 and still have good ground control or should I stick closer to 2.8? Also any recommendations for tires? I spend most of my time in dry dusty riding conditions. Thanks in advance!

    • @hardtailparty

      Looks like they started at the main Thumb Butte parking lot and went up Creekside. Then went across the road onto Javelina (could have gone up Garden Party and then down the West trail to Javelina which would have been my preferred route). Then down Javelina with a stop at Chris Rock part way down. From there onto Tatanka and then presumably up Zygomatic (that part wasn't shown) to the Village. Playing around in the Village and then back onto Zygomatic to Rusty Fender and then onto Missing Link. Down Missing Link to Little Italy and then back onto Javelina to climb back up to the West Trail. Take the West Trail up to the White Rock parking area and then across the street to Garden Party. Down Garden Party and Creekside back to the Thumb Butte parking lot.
      Lots more fun trails in that area to check out that aren't in this video.

    • @hardtailparty
      @hardtailparty  4 года назад +1

      Thanks for taking the time to map that out Scott, I really appreciate it. I know we were on missing link and little italy for a good portion of this. Another fun area I love out there is happy ending.

    How do you like the dvo fork?

    • @hardtailparty
      @hardtailparty  4 года назад +1

      I've had a few rides on different DVOs before, but I've never owned one. I didn't have a ton of time to get this one dialed, but it felt good on the ride. This is the XC one, and I could feel the smaller stanchions, but they were fine for this type of trail. I've got a diamond in for review right now and I'm going to be spending some time getting it dialed. It's interesting that they don't use volume spacers.
