I have never known a RUclipsr to have SO many affectations at 10,000 subs. I look forward to: 1. The little dance at the start 2. Some filthy new sound I’ve never heard 3. The clearest explanation of Ableton/Serum I have zero doubt in my mind your channel will blow up significantly in the next year...don’t stop this content! Thank you so much
Hes right dude ive known about your channel for a few days and its cured pretty much every Dnb queries or ailments ive had with prod. Please keep them up as I've just got myself serum and am dying to learn more with this plugin!!!! Thank you
Interesting video man! I like the simple approach you take. Some techniques I would use to get these sounds even more popping would be combining different layers or multiple oscillators. Or, as some people already have mentioned in the comments, adding tonal delay to short and beefy bass sounds. This goes hand in hand with resampling sounds you might have created previously, which is kind of the embodiment of that newskool Belgian jump up sound, just pure experimentation and heavy modification to create the most unique sounds. Cheers from Belgium 😉
Your videos keep me motivated. I'm in the middle of writing my first release in 10 years after dealing with health issues. Thanks for the good sounds bro
@@STRANJAH no worries man fr i learned more from this in ages been having a mad production block , was super simple btu all i needed was the slowed down and explained version cause when youve got all of serum staring at you its very easy to take the first step in the wrong direction and not know when to turn around
I'm belgian, jumpup lover and dude your video is very cool ! Sounds like jump up as i like and i understood all your manipulations in serum ! Thanks a lot, i'll try this !! 🥳🤕
So helpful as always! I also got to say how much I love the way you format of your videos - always a nice introduction (hearing the end result straight away is also super helpful!), followed by simple step by step instructions is just perfect. Thanks for all the hard work!
Man I love these tutorials, sound design is the hardest part of the process in my opinion and you make it simple and easy to learn. Drums tutorials are all over but the synth sounds are hard to find for what I want to make
ive seen a technique used alot in Belgian jump up specifically with the delay is that they take it off of bpm sync and will keep it at very low timings (20-35ms), it gives it that super metalic wet sound that imo gives that belgian characteristic. 24 ms is tuned to E btw and each 1 ms is a half step i believe but honestly the tuning shouldnt matter it should just sound nasty
Never heard this sub genre before. I like how it swings. Lots of potential here. Speaking of swing and funk could you tackle the Dossa & Locuzzed funk sound. Also could you address the potential power of the noise oscillator in future videos with your sound designs. I love how nice graphic design is on your videos as the landing page of each video stands out amongst the crowd.
Ayyy, have spent so long looking for a decent tutorial on how to make these kind of sounds :D Can you please make one on how to make decent sounding grime horns, like those in Get Mad or Powers by Traumatik?
How about a tutotiral where you use one synth to make all of the elements: drums, pads, leads, sub, mid-bass, FX, etc. then layer some drum breaks sounds on top.
go serum, distortion, diode 1 on an FM patch with alot of bass. its high spread between the fm, (eg; osc1 -1oct osc2 +2-4oct) its about having the lower frequency waves create a sort of crunchiness against the high frequency FM , similar concept to alot of the generic "jump up" synths u find all over youtube, except sustained rather than modulated i dont know for certain but i reckon this is how its done
Hey Stranjah, reckon you could do a little digging into the sounds produced by "Killill"? I'd be really curious to see if you can replicate them and share with us.
thanks for this mate dont suppose you could do a drum loop please how they make it all they way through from start to finish and dont suppose we could have it for free if possible thanks dan
those are always tough questions. I've only dabbled with reaper but my friends who use it swear by it. But then again, I advocate Ableton for its easy creative flow.
Help me get this to 1000 LIKES!! Here is the presets for free: stranjah.com/belgium-jump-up
I think you'll crack it no bother. Your videos have helped me, and i'm sure many others, immensely. Big up!
This is one of the best RUclips channels in in my opinion
Thank you for saying that man!
No problem bro can't wait to see some annix stuff on the channel
Ditto. Learnt more from this channel than Udemy tutorials etc. Big up Stranjah
trust me it is
Bro to true honestly i needed this channel badly like 2 years ago!

Thanks for advice Krytek will keep in mind for part 2 of Belgium!
Haha i knew kryptek would be here 2 xD
Do you have any specific plugins for adding tonal delay?
@@moriartyyyyy i think Fruity Delay should be fine
Please try to recreate "MASTER ERROR" :D
That's impossible.
This video is just what ive been looking for. Another tip for these kind of sounds is to use a delay with a really small rate
that's a great tip Dexter, will try it out!!
luv the Autstin Powers reference!
Your videos are sooo helpful for beginners with serum man. Whenever my mates start out I always send them over your way
Thank you for doing that!
please make a video on how to make the second bass you created
Your videos keep me motivated. I'm in the middle of writing my first release in 10 years after dealing with health issues. Thanks for the good sounds bro
Easy to follow, well structured, in depth, great moderated! Biggup stranjah

Sounds awesome.🔥🔥 Greets from belgium!!
Oooh the classy jump up
Can you maybe make how to make : "QZB - Take it all VIP Remix" Bass? Thanks!

Well done another great video. Very helpful
Bro your videos are insane man i'm learning so much from them, you should try and take on a konichi/decimal bass/annix style bass next!!!
Check the Bass in : Gammy Elbow (Chris Lorenzo DnB Remix).. something like this would be super interesting to learn
Latte goes so hard he has some crazy dubs
another enjoyable video...keep doing what you're doing..i love it

I have always referred to the monster wavetables as growl tables as that is what they are mostly used for
what drum loop do you use behind it?
Dude your tuts are supreme!
Another dope one...keep it up! Can you do one on mixdowns?
Bigup! Sure will look into it!
Best D'n'B tutorials out there!

That captain bass inspired sound is amazing! How do you make that???
Love it
bonus points for Austin Powers and doing the Dr. Evil macarena
bro you're killing it! really appreciate your content!! thank you bro!
Me gustan mucho los tutoriales de este colega pero sin duda, esa intro bailando la macarena, es otro level! big up
Awesome tutorial as usual - thank you ! Could you do a Ed rush and Optical Compound type bass tutorial please..?
I see what you did there in your thumbnail ...nice pinky reference 😎. Much respect bruv for what you do!
Hahah glad someone noticed!!
Super stuff Stranjah! Thank you so much for what you're doing mad respect bro
Thanks for sharing so many production tips🙏🏽Any chance you could make a video on how to produce a track in key?
Most daws have a key helper, you can highlight the notes in each key, just stick to that and your track should be in key
So helpful can’t wait for the next Belgium jump up video

only clicked on this to watch your dance moves at the start! Coocooned By Bungle would love to see ya have a crack at that Bass, Churz
Brilliant as always. Any recommendations for a hardware synth that can reply serum (approximately of course)
In all honesty, if I'm in a bad mood, I just have to watch the first 10 seconds of any of your tutorials and I'm back in the game. 😂😂😂
Ayyy, have spent so long looking for a decent tutorial on how to make these kind of sounds :D
Can you please make one on how to make decent sounding grime horns, like those in Get Mad or Powers by Traumatik?
Hi there thanks and I will add your request!
@@STRANJAH Cheers ^_^
Will you do a video on the interchanging bass you used?
Stranjah! The best dancer in the world 😂 by a Belgium guy 😉
Can you do a tutorial on how to achieve the buzz in the sub bass that basstripper and other producers have. Example in Basstripper - Exhibit 9
will look into it for the request!
kryptek just did a tutorial on this. its layers baby, layers (also throw in a cheeky amp on like 2-10 wet on the lead setting)
If you nail the bass hit from Distress signal - horizon I will worship you. I can't figure out if it's just a distorted horn stab or more to it
Can do, its similar to Mr. Happy maybe I will do both in the same video
Intro saved my life bro
haha glad!
really want to know how u made those captain bass like synths
Stranjah how do i cop some merch
I didnt even know what is Belgian Jump Up dnb, thank you for your tutorial man
Loved the dance but also relieved it cut away at that point
great video mate
K motions gunshot or round ere are also good tunes
but not the belgian sound tbf

Please can you look at Hedex type basses
Examples being Sunset, Forever, Soldiers etc
Love these intros!
Thanks Sara!! Love what you do too!
do a tutorial on the beat/percussion used in this video please
yes absolutely

Would love a tutorial on A.M.C's Tap Ho Remix - I just can't really figure out how to create this high, screechy and still full sounding patches 😅
thanks for the request will check it out!

Hahahah there are nuances if you are an avid listener!
Ducka ducka!! Amazing! Literally lol’d 😂😂
This can work in logic pro X? ( beginner over here )

thanks for this mate dont suppose you could do a drum loop please how they make it all they way through from start to finish and dont suppose we could have it for free if possible thanks dan
and have it set at 175 bpm please cause dont know how to do all stretching properly
The drums pattern ist good its a 1/4 kick snare hat snare and repeat add rides or shuffles to your liking
This is more old school but its nice tho
Nice content!!
Would you recommend ableton or reaper for dnb?
those are always tough questions. I've only dabbled with reaper but my friends who use it swear by it. But then again, I advocate Ableton for its easy creative flow.
Bruh, sick video, never seen someone do automation like that - how come you're doing it in session view?
Can't wait!
