This is a very nice and informative video. I really enjoyed it. I myself am planning a cross country trip on Amtrak's Southwest Chief train out of my hometown of San Bernardino, C.A. to Chicago, Illinois being I have never ridden Amtrak out of state. I have only ridden it within Southern C.A., specifically from Los Angeles to San Diego back in August of 2000 with some friends. I am looking forward to it and I am planning to get a full bedroom. The roomette did look nice though, but I want my own private shower and bathroom! I am also looking forward to eating in the dining car. Great video once again!
Thank you so much for your feedback! Enjoy your journey from San Bernardino to Chicago, I'm sure you'll have a great time! For our next Amtrak journey we're planning on getting a bedroom as well, it offers a lot more comfort compared to the Roomette 😊
It is worth twice the cost of a roomette to not use a perfectly good bathroom and shower in the hallway? Bedrooms are designed for 3-4 people. Any less than that and you are wasting your money.
@@mikeymutual5489 Since the bedroom is twice the size of a Roomette, it offers a lot more comfort. Especially tall people with long legs will have a better time traveling in a bedroom. But of course, it always comes down to personal preference.
It's a really cool video. It's like a drama and it's beautiful. Unfortunately, there are no sleeper trains in South Korea. It's a short distance, so it's not necessary. Like your good video, I want to experience it at least once in my life. Thank you so much
If you take the train from New York to Palm Springs you have a transfer in Chicago - hence, you take the Lake Shore Limited to Chicago and then switch onto the Texas Eagle 😊
@@eyesforadventures I know I check it up, Thanks, I normally Ride from New York City to Canada, I am traveling by myself so, I will take the Coach, probably when I have a companion, I travel by sleeper, Thanks again.
I took this train every Friday to Rochester NY. This train is very crowded from NYC but it became very spacy after Albany. This train needs to wait for the train from BOSTON.
Curious..Why didn’t you just take the subway to 34th st? In addition, why didn’t you go to the new Moynihan Train Hall. I feel like your video is not as informative as it could be.
To get to 34th st from where we started in Brooklyn, we would have had to change trains several times which we wanted to avoid because we carried luggages with us. This way we only took one train and then walked a quick 5 minutes walk to get to Penn Station, which was nice before sitting on a train for 20 hours. This way it was faster and more convenient for us. But of course what subway you'll take to get to Penn Station always depends on where you live in NY. Although most of Amtrak's trains leave from Moynihan Train Hall, ours did not. The train left from Penn Station instead, so there was no reason for us to go to Moynihan Train Hall. I hope this was helpful.
??? when are they going to restore the dining service back to its original glory it seems we waited forever for the new dining cars for this low level of service, they didn't even bother putting the diner back on 19 & 20 what's the problem amtrak ?
This is a hoax. Years ago, NYCRR and PRR made the trip in about 15-17 hours. On most trains, they had real dining cars, serving real food prepared on the train.

@@eyesforadventures All trains leave from both locations, so you should have gone to Moynihan Train Hall to show the viewers how it is.
