l find all your videos useful on repairing v70s. l own the same model as you do, save it is a 2001. The Volvos are very reliable cars, however, it is the plastic pieces that is giving way. For instance, the front glove box hinge broke, but it needs to be closed otherwise it gives off a mini-light. -- so l wired it up closed. Then the back wiper blade broke off, the plastic is very brittle. Next the left rear light, there is a issue with the ground so that the left position light does not work. Volvo recommended getting one from the scrap dealer. This week the gear shift knob fell right off, cracked (more like peeled off) under the extreme heat we had last week in Toronto. So l looked at your video on replacing the gear shift knob and leather boot. The problem is that the car is getting older but the plastic pieces are fall off due to age. Volvo Canada does not provide any more parts made of plastic for cars beyond 20 yrs old. A problem indeed. V.v.v.v. useful videos! Keep it up.
That is impressive work to do on your driveway :)... Maybe it would be a bit more safe with two more jacks supporting the front of the car, as backup (?)
they do, both front and back. They have replaceable bushings. I will be doing them on by v60 next weekend. The video is nice but I don't think you need to essentially dismantle front suspension to do them. It will be tight but touching subframe bolts requires traction and geometry check/adjust afterwards. I'm planning to do mine without lowering subframe to avoid it. Also, in some models bushings are "glued" to sway bar so it's easier to remove it completely while replacing them as you would need to clean the bar from remaining glue/rubber.
