Glad you enjoyed Scotland and realised that the NC500 is not the only route, don’t forget the Borders and Northumberland next time, my back yard. Great set of videos on your wee bike and I love the A82, especially down Glencoe😀👍
@@Mrfish2015 There’s what’s known as the South Western 300 ( I think it’s called) which is around the Border area Dumfries and Galloway Speak to Bruce about the Buccleuch Arms Hotel in Moffat, he fill you in on the details.
Dude, I 100% agree with you about Scotland chuffin love the place. But if you REALLY want to run out of words, I can HIGHLY recommend and it's a bit of a trek get yourself over too Norway it will properly blow ya mind.
Hi Mr Fish Tour videos don’t always work very well. But you have really pulled it out the bag and proved that when you put your heart and sole into it you can make a tour video work. It’s nice to see you enjoying the roads at a sensible speed not flat out apex to apex with your knee down. So well done and thanks for sharing your journey.
Hi Mr Fish. I have absolutely loved this series. You have given me some ideas for a trip on my Scrambler 400x. You don't need a GS to go on epic tours..
Absolutely amazing scenic ride on that extremely capable Honda NX500, Mr. Fish! It’s a shame that in the USA that awesome machine is only sold in the Matte Black model. As far as this epic video goes, I had to watch it twice!! Thanks for taking us along. 😎🇺🇸👍
Great video! I have been watching your journey, it has been wonderful. Tears cleanse the soul, motorcycles feed the soul. Many more journeys for you! From across the pond. Cheers Mate.
Scotland interacts with all your senses, it feels like your a part of it , almost like family, specially riding a bike . Thanks for sharing this, very enjoyable 👍
Great vid thanks mate. Used to work just outsid3e of Oban so nice to see the roads again, spent a lot of time in cars going around there. In Thailand now on a ninja 650 2009. Bought her second hand 6 weeks ago, she was living in an underground condo car park. She had 4080kms after 14 years! Bike was immaculate and on offer for less than a new 150 moped. The guy just took her out to be MOT'd most of the time. Took 16 hrs 1500kms & 2 days to get her home.
You are so lucky having that on your "doorstep" . I can smell the fresh air through your cameras. I cannot wait to be able to grab my NX in a month's time and go exploring too
You’ve nailed it Mr Fish, yeah the NC500 is a good ride, ( I did it before it was a thing and became to popular) but it’s the smaller roads that show you the real beauty of Scotland. I’m lucky to have ridden in some amazing places around the world but jump on my bike head north for half a day and there’s a place to rival any of them. Superb series this.
When you turned off the A82 on leaving Fort William that road you didn’t really enjoy 😉 leads to Kinlochleven and Glencoe village not Oban, Glen Orchy is also a hidden Gem Great series, I’m glad you took Bruce’s advice too visit our Home land.
Glencoe is stunning, you certainly had the weather there John, I’m off tomorrow on bike for 2 nights,it’s gonna be a wet one, but hey ho im on my bike so alls good😎👍
I've been binge watching Mr Fish's NX500 series and i can't wait to get mine in Dec 2024.. It's twice the price here in Singapore to be used for 10 years only but oh well I see Fish really enjoys it
AWESOME STUFF... this was right in the depths of my old stoming ground with HMNB Faslane just over the hill from where you had lunch pretty much and the Royal Marines would mess around in the fenced off area you rode along
I had a leaking g eye moment at vestkapp in Norway, on about week 3 of 7. I've said it many many time. Biking especially touring is Sooooo good for the mind, body and soul.....

Rode round the West Coast of Ireland this year and yes, you’ve guessed it, I’m back in Scotland again in May ‘25. You just can’t have enough of it can you. Any bike that will sit at the speed comfortably, or all depends on body shape height etc , we are all different, I personally wouldn’t get a 500 if it’s mainly motorways but plenty do
I have downsized fro high powered sports bikes to a v strom650. It will happily cruise effortlessly at 80+. At that speed still does 70 mpg. The torque of the engine is so strong I cant believe it but my best bike do it all after 44 bikes.
Woke up this morning quite fed up. I have lost my licence thru medical reasons and by the time I finished this was smiling ear to ear. Still hoping it’s not the end for me but nhs and tests = time
So glad you experienced some of my wee local roads around the Oban area. There are so many more to see, and the CB 500X is the perfect bike for it. Haste ye back.
Love the video. However, you have me confused. At one point you said you were off the A82 and in the Oban road. Then you were going up Glencoe and across Rannoch Moor? Which is the A82 and goes nowhere near Oban! Did I miss something? Scotland is brilliant for riding/ driving. Mountains after mountains and lakes and Lochs galore. I’m one of those that did the NC500 anti clockwise, by the way, in a small camper. Loved it. Keep the videos coming .😊
I turned off towards Oban then cut back on the a85 a819i until invararay , I was only heading that way not actually going to .. probably as clear as mud

I have a 2022 500x. Cruise all day at 85 indicated mph.
