DAmn, this took me back. First girlfriend, first kiss, first job, first check bought a Cd player and this monster of a CD. I remember walking around with an attitude jamming drum n bass feeling misunderstood. The only thing that understood me was the music.
Ahhh I still have this track on wax. I love getting down and mixing old DnB I grew up on. I cannot get into dub step the way I have ❤️ for the DnB I grew up on. It has a special place in my heart.
Met Dieselboy in Greensboro. Top notch! Huge scene in NC in the 90's. Asheville was a secret hub and attracted the likes of Dieselboy, Metalheadz, 1.8.7, Carlos Soul Slinger...luckily I was friends w/a man w/a jet and a mansion, where these DJ's would hole up! Ahh, misspent youth....
In no way do I want to draw too much attention to myself, but I wish I was born earlier, or that I had discovered this music for what it was earlier. I'm eighteen years old. I wish I could've been 18 in the early 90's, just so I could be on the scene when DnB was in it's prime. Would've been amazing to see some classics. Everyone else in my generation seems to be obsessed with Skrillex and David Guetta and other bullshit. Thanks, but no thanks. Dubstep's iffy, I like my DnB, no matter what.
I've seen Pendulum and Green Day live. Both fantastic bands, but you're right. Green Day has punk elements, and their first albums were certainly punk, just like Hold Your Colour was a classic DnB album, but as they grew, Pendulum began to sound like electronic-heavy rock with DnB beats, and Green Day began to sound more like alternative rock. Again, they both have elements of their influences, but neither of them are completely true to their roots at this point in time. Cheers, and DnB 4 life!
@PrettyPufferPenquin Incorrect. This is the original. The Decoder remix had the big synths that hit really fast. "bah bah bahbahbah, boh bah bah bahbahbah"
I dunnow, I never really was too crazy about Pendulum. THey're fun and danceable, but I find that a lotof their percussion ends up sounding a little too rock-and-roll.

@raveakidd It's a fail bot. It saw the title descent and spammed the comments.

Hate he started spinning puke-step
Pretty boring compard to DnB like Sigma or Pendulum/Rob Swire.
when fighting your PTSD demons, i prefer 7.62 over 5.56, and Dieselboy. and maybe thermals
