Shit yeah crusing with my dumb ass friend super ripped smoking that super silver Haze on a empty tank almost going in the ditch and he's still a bad driver!
Yeah bro! This was a regular in the CD player between 1999-2001 for my old krew. This, J. Smooth and Freaky Flow Back to School, DJ SS @ Bassrush 2000, and Robert de la Gauthier @ Bassrush. Those were all considered phat and da bom diggity around these parts around turn of century.
This album always reminds me of one of my best friends from high school. Thank you Damon Dedrick for introducing me to real DnB, RIP. He would have been pleased to know he was buried with Diesel Boy's autograph in his shirt pocket. Thank you Damion Diesel Boy for the autograph.
Saw him at a rave in 2000 and he did this front to back live! I was buried in a Tonka speaker the whole time! Technical itch! Never gonna hear an album like this again.
This is the first dieselboy experience for me, back when I was in high school. I had this tape parked in my oldsmobile tape deck for months with 2 rockford fosgate punch 15's pumping
System upgrade was my first, it was only a single crap Jensen 12 but I had a CD player in a 2 door nissan. Life was carefree and gas was cheap. Lots of road trips... memories.
yup same for me! but it was a friend in HS that moved down from NY and introduced me to a Webster Hall mix. Soon after I saw this album and had to buy it. Havent stopped listening to DnB since this released(its 19JAN24 for archival purposes).
I get chills everytime I start this mix… danger, danger, danger, danger.. beep beep.. ONLINE! 🔫 🤖 💪 I imagined myself in mech suit powering up in a post apocalyptic world struggling to survive. The whole mix is that journey 🙌
That's no mech, it's even more dangerous. It's PhD Gordon Freeman in his Hazardous Environment Suit, and he's about to give a lesson in HIGH SPEED BALLISTICS
My most favorite Dieselboy album. I own them all. Met him twice. Seen him live in LA/Indio numerous times. Hell, I even named my last son after him. I've had this album on repeat since about 2:30pm PST. It is now 800pm PST. Who here in 2020 tho?
It’s 2001 I’m@ the San Diego sports arena in their jungle room. Tripping balls sitting full face front and center with this legend as he spins this album. I often still think of this night
@@datboi5810 Biden introduced the RAVE Act in '03 and everything went to shit after that. Nobody wanted to throw a good party because the promoters would be held liable for anything that happened (including someone getting busted selling). The scene went "legit" and died soon after.
Haha i feel you. I was just thinking the same. Lol my sound system was worth more than my Camaro and that car was not cheap back then. Driving around after parties with the whole block vibrating. At least it looked that way in all my mirrors. Rolling balls!! This got me pulled over more than once but never was it so fearful then when special substances were hidden in every cranny of the car. Young and stupid surprised i have freedom. Surprised my ears work. My brain for that manner. Would 1000 percent do it all over again. 😈😈🧠🧠🕺💃🏽🕺💃🏽
I am for the 12:20 mark so devious. I was fortunate to see him many times in the early 2000s in Philadelphia. I worked in a South St. Raver clothing store called Agent Aloha. We bumped all kinds of electronic music out to the street and had a DJ Booth.
Every time....Bonkers! Thank you whoever you are for putting up the full version. I have not been able to find the entire album on youtube for months now.
Listened to this CD a hundred times with friends, bongs and one of those plasma balls with the purple lightening that moves in time to the music, probably.
I started getting interested in electronica in middle school/early high school and one day I headed over to Solomon Pond mall and looked through the CDs available and grabbed this one on a whim. This was my Intro into not just DnB, but Any EDM and set the standard for my music life in high school. Still kicks, too. Thank you, Dieselboy
my husband used to play this back in like 2001 and I wondered wth he was getting drunk too.....I saw the post on his FB and now I like it TOOOO!!!!! :) :P :) :) :)
Saw him at the Root of the Hill in Boulder. Those were the days. So ill and the pop locking and breakdancing was so dope. Real underground was the best!
I used to bang this shit on repeat in my little Valet shack, at this yuppie ass waterfront restaurant... I loved the expressions on some of the old ladies faces when they handed their keys over to me and I'd take off running... (to get their car of course lol)
takes me back! i remember the first time i heard Stalker (Usual Suspects & Loxy) i just had to have that record. fired up my dial-up modem and ordered it COD from Satellite Records in NYC 😂
when cd's and the philly rave scene ruled my life. Was always waiting for the next dieselboy/dara/ak album to drop. best 12.99 i've ever spent. Any space/shampoo heads out there? God's basement???
Don't forget J.Smooth. Philly's best kept secret, along with Andy Sine. I'm from Pittsburgh, so I was fortunate enough to catch three Planet of the Drums tours, as well as seeing Dieselboy vs Andy Sine w/ MC J Messinian, and Dieselboy once solo in Cleveland. Also managed to see J. Smooth and DB at same party, in addition to a few others here and there including 3D, UFO, Venom, and Debbie D, plus numerous times seeing Ohio Valley staples like Bagel, Alaska, and Moose. Those were the good old days. Hell I even recall going to parties halfway through, asking people leaving early for their paid bracelets, and getting in for free so we could spend all our dough on rolls, acid, K, and nugz. 🕺🕺🕺
Not familiar with Space/Shampoo, Groove @ Club Laga was the place to be in Pittsburgh for weekly club night. I do recall one of my first raves was one of the detergent raves, Era.
I love hearing about these drum n bass / jungle parties from back in the day. So fun Went to the best 4/20 grand opening party in Philly. Want to say it was Space. Diesel Boy AK 1200 J Messinien was nuts
The most ridonculous mix nearly ever, just some random dubstep mixes from youtube come close. But this tie together and how well its aged. I have been listening to him since NFS MW back in what? 2000SOMETHING
Also replayed this mix while jamming other NFS titles as the U2 and MW original soundtracks where unbeatable, the first track of this mix with NFS porsche unleashed = hyper nostalgia.
I wish Diesel Boy’s earlier album catalog, like this one was available on I-tunes. His earliest work available currently is Project Human from 2002. I still have all my original Diesel Boy CDs but they are shredded from continuous use since the 1990’s 😂
okay i havent even played the whole album yet, how ever im laughing my ass off that they just sampled half life sound effects really hard in the beginning. I can imagine just playing the game 5 minutes before it.
Cleveland raves and warehouse parties were always fun Cleveland in the house I was a dj in Cleveland for awhile but I just spun records not mixed but it was fun
