The fact that they found a literal KNIFE on the floor of their bedroom shows that they were ready to attack if someone was in that house. Invest in a security system like ADT and doorbells that record and alert your phone as soon as there is movement. Also if you plan on getting more guns get a safe. Go to cabelas or something. Not a small safe. a big enough one so no one can take it. Always look at the positive sides and thank god you guys are good. Stay blessed guys.

I think they got caught in the act and hadn’t filled the bags yet. They probably heard them come home and fled. It was night time and there were no lights on in the house, they don’t have any curtains, that is how they knew no one was home. Same thing happened to me years ago. They need to set up lights to come on if they are going to be home by dark so it looks like someone is home.
