One of the most important videos in bodybuilding history! We learned so much, and fans need this feedback almost as much as competitors! This is the way! Keep it up and do as much as possible!
Wow! This is amazing. Judge's perspective, explaining with great detail. This is great for sport and should be done for every show. This is guy is good
AJ's physique is just incredible. Even hitting the RLS not correctly it still looked insane and 3D. It'll be amazing to see what he brings to the O, and how next year pans out.
I really hope we get these post show wrap ups by the head judge for every show …To the naked eye it looked like Andrew ran away with this show but that’s why none of us are judges lol The explanations were thorough and descriptive so now we the fans finally knows what’s going on 💯
You’re allowed to hit an abs&tigh from the side as a variation with no mark down but a slight tilt to the side in Andrew from double marks him down? I don’t get that.
He got asked the same question in Instagram here is his answer I quote : "good question. Just like the most muscular can be hit with multiple variations so can the ab and thigh. The variations have to be forward facing for both poses. If someone wanted to hit an ab and thigh doing a vacuum and completely facing the side that would be something we don't want to see as we can't see the body parts we need to."
The side ab and thigh still shows the front leg and abs(albeit no lats or taper). The front-ish side tricep makes the legs too different to compare well and same with the arm
@@granddaddyofthemall6320, Hunter has better overall density. However, lacks in separation and roundness in the upper body and midsection. Hunter has flat arms, flat shoulders, a flat chest with a pec tear, and a blown out midsection that he couldn’t control between poses. I’m surprised that’s never mentioned in the video. Furthermore, from behind Hunter’s lower lats and erectors are lagging. Hunter’s strengths were his overall size, a decent X-frame (not as good as Jacked’s), amazing conditioning, and superior hamstrings.
@@granddaddyofthemall6320 , I could have seen it going in both directions. My comments were due to the video never addressing Hunter’s weaknesses and only his strengths. There were 5 judges and all of them didn’t share his opinion bc they did not all vote the same. Thanks for the exchange.
@@granddaddyofthemall6320 and if the most important criteria was muscle per square inch then Big Ramy would have won the last Mr Olympia and would not have been beaten by Andrew weeks later at the Arnold. Labrada is a great top ten Mr O. Competitor. He was definitely bigger overall but not in every body part, we was mostly bigger in the lower body. 🤷🏻♂️. Still, it was close and can’t wait to see them match up again at the next Olympia.
So basically the only reason it was that close was because Andrew wasn't posing correctly in some of the poses. Andrew still looked better in IMO overrall, I think most people would agree they would rather look like AJ than Hunter
No, he clearly described the importance of conditioning, thickness and completeness too. And by the way Paul Dillett would have been a Mr. Olympia if only he could pose better.
As it relates to the side tricep. I understand why it's not acceptable to do a side pose more frontward facing but why is the one arm over head abs and thigh pose where Hunter turns to the side and shows more of his obliques than abs acceptable? So my question is if Andrew’s side tricep isn’t acceptable because he turns forward why is Hunter’s abs and thigh pose acceptable when he turns to the side
This is the issue I have now with major bodybuilding. From the get go hunter wasn’t even close to Andrew. Andrew won every pose. Looked 1000000x better than hunter. This should’ve been a land slide victory. Tyler is a doof
Were you at the contest? Or are you judging this from a "moment in time" which is what photos are. It's a lot different in person! If not, then maybe you're the doof?
As good as andrew’s front lat spread is, there’s no way it’s the best in the league right now.. how can it be? Lol he has not even nearly filled out his frame yet.. plus he’s got higher lat inserts.. so he’s probably never gonna be the best in this pose with the current line up
@@Ockersvin quite a few people.. just to name a few Ramy, Hadi, Derek, I think krizo has a nicer FLS also cause he’s a lot more filled out than Andrew with a really nice frame.. No doubt Andrew will probably overtake some of these guys when he’s more filled out but currently not yet I think
How is one arm ab and tight ok but front triceps is not? Both are modification of original pose. For example, ab and tight with one arm up is almost the same as "front side triceps" as you call it. Also, that side/front triceps of Andrew is work of art. No one in bodybuilding of today have that amount of detail in chest, abs, round triceps, striated quads. All in all, good job for doing this and I hope you will keep it up. It is professional and it will finally shot mouth of people who refer it as being fixed, subjective etc. I don't agree about 1 point decision. Hunter is just inferior in every aspect compared to Andrew. I got that Labrada is huge name in bodybuilding industry, they inject a lot of money in bodybuilding shows, so you are obligated to keep him relevant and push his company.
Were you there in person to see them posing? If you weren't there, it's totally different than looking at a "moment in time" which is what the photos are.
Saying the Hunter got rewarded because of his last name is utter disrespectful and biases. He's much more balanced (legs) than Andrew, nevertheless you like Andrew's body more. I think they're both amazing competitors and I got it super close as well.

This is so awesome that you guys are doing these videos from the judges perspective thank you 💪 👏
These videos are great. Tyler's doing an exceptional job right now and is taking the NPC/IFBB in the right direction.
This is what us fans want to see, having a bodybuilding panel like ESPN does breaking down the sports post game but for shows would be awesome !
Tyler Manion is the best!!!
Thank you to the IFBB and Tyler for this video. Great explanations and I'm looking forward to seeing more videos.
Awesome recap !!!! Tyler bringing the sport to the next level. Keep these coming .

This is incredible - thank you for sharing this Tyler
This is FANTASTIC!!! Please keep these type of videos coming. Doing great things for the sport!
Thank you that is very important
Solid to see fresh faces in BB !
Thank you soo much for the info... This was the best BB vid of 2023. We need this for every show.
Great format. You guys should do this for every mayor competition
It blows my mind how anyone could possibly see this as a close competition. Andrew is on a completely different level than Hunter
Were you at the contest? Or are you judging this from a "moment in time" which is what photos are. It's a lot different in person!
Not at all. Hunter is much more balanced than Andrew. He has to improve in his posing stamina though.
U have no clue what you are talking about
Love these recap videos. Need to keep there going Tyler. Thx u!!
This is a fantastic idea, really excited for more of these
I knew it was close but it's really nice to hear why from the boss thanks !!!
Tyler is really doin his part in bodybuilding to try an make it better
Ok fans, we gonna need to rise up. I say we riot.
This is awesome! If you could pre-face this with like a highlight real from the show, this would be real legit like nba post game stuff!
More of these, this is awesome!!!
Thank you for this!
Chinedu's side chest is truly magnificent.
Wow ,I really enjoyed this kind of videos, hopefully we get many more in the future! 👏
great to see a headjudge explain results 👌🏻👏🏻
Please do this for all big shows🙏Very informative
You’ll crack 1 million subs if you do this for all shows including classic and physique as well.

Wow excellent video
Enjoyed watching this.
Andrew losing the side tricep shot is shocking though
He looks strong and complete just because he's hiding his soft leg's side. Hunter's pose is thicker and more conditioned.
because andrew not show his side pose
@@Retics you have too check the details
I wish Chinedu would hit a traditional side tricep instead of that stupid front pose that looks like an ab & thigh with his hands behind his back.
Please more of this!
Amazing coverage
This should happen every time
In few time Andrew will bring us back the golden era of body building
Now we understood why hunter lost. Very well explained. Thanks a lot.
Finally someone say it
This a tale of one is extremely better from the back vs tge front.

How is a side ab&thigh forward facing? If you have a bad mid section, you can just show your obliques basically.@@Marc-co5cj

He didn’t mark Andrew down for the tilt, he said Andrew looked better standing more straight…
The side ab and thigh still shows the front leg and abs(albeit no lats or taper). The front-ish side tricep makes the legs too different to compare well and same with the arm
Other than the quads and hams I fail to see where hunter beats Andrew anywhere else but that's why I'm not a judge 😅
You don’t get it. Much of Andrews fans don’t get the judging criteria

That makes sense. I was wondering why Andrew hit his side triceps like that. It never occurred to me that it was due to his weak hamstring.
