An alternative to the DMX stuff is designing a pcb with mosfets, controlled directly by a raspberry or arduino, assuming people already do that for other inputs and outputs.
As for the speakers, i find professional gear to be overkill considering you need to use many speakers at a rather low volume. 5.1 mdf systems are dirt cheap :) just get rid of all the electronics inside and use your own amplifiers.

good video lads. what do you recommend for MIC? as in right now I am using cheap car amplifier with karaoke mixer. sound os bad. but gear with a few exists cost a lot. but any recommendations pls?
