Y'all have been asking for it and it's finally here! The update on the twin tubo LSX swapped Chevy Chevelle. We've had some hold ups on this build that have had us pump the brakes a little bit; such as problems with our custom made wheels for what was going to be a full custom wide-body Chevelle. We were also waiting for our friends at Mango Bay Metalworks to help us out with our dash and center console. But while we were waiting for all that, we were able to get a little bit of work done at the shop. Dave installed some power locks and windows to help give the interior some more modern comforts once it's all complete. He also fabbed up a working hoodlatch sistem to get our clean, BMW style latches functional. We also had Jeff from JG3D stop by to scan the entire grill and hood of the truck so we can have JC Customs CNC us some billet trim pieces to finish off our engine bay!
Once we have the dahs back from the West Coast of Florida, we'll be able to get back to work on this Chevelle and show you guys a TON more content! So make sure to subscribe and turn on that notification bell so you don't miss out!

Damn, that's one reason I watch for Tim, as I love his fab work.
Sweet seeing Tim back, the man is a genius when it comes to fab and metal work!
Agreed!!
Just as I was wondering where Tim went, he appears. Welcome back Tim. It’s good to see you bak in these videos. Don’t be a stranger man. This is a cool build and a lot of custom work is going into it. If you were doing this for a customer, it would cost a lot of money. Good job guys.
This is a customer's car! lol
@@SalvagetoSavage True that. You have to be your best customer.
As usual another great episode, it was great to see Tim back in the workshop. Can’t wait to see more as it come together.
As soon as the dash comes in we can start hammering away at it!
I miss Tim! He's always so informative and I truly have learned a lot from him. 💯
We love to hear that!!!
Glad to see Tim
Back. Should have never let him walk out last time
YEEEESSS!!! Classic fenders - no widebody. Looks great!
Nice to see Tim back for a minute.
Tim!!! What a nice surprise! Glad he's back.
Great To See Tim Back... The Chevelle is an awesome build and Tim is huge part of making it that way!!
Nice to see Tim back, hopefully that’s a permanent deal! Thanks Dave for the power windows and locks, and the hood latches!
Thanks Mike for the wheel remeasuring and Andrew for the transmission change information! Whew, that’s a lot of stuff in 1 video, amazing job! Guys! Thanks for sharing your time!
Thanks so much for stopping by to watch!
Tim! You're back! The level of detail to this build is insane
Not sure how it's not exciting, Tim's back! WHOOP!
Tim, my man! I've missed you. I'm so glad you guys are back on the Chevelle. I knew this car was going to take a long time, because my brother-in-law had one done and it took over a year. I'm excited for the C10, let's put a Duramax in it. Love you guys
We like giving you guys complete episodes packed with content. So even if we're working on something, we don't like showing it to you until there's something worth showing! As soon as the dash comes back from Mango Bay, we'll be rolling faster on this project and you'll see a ton more videos!
Cool....Tim is back on screen with the crew.....
That console is unbelievable. I fucking love this build
Those guys at Mango bay are on a completely insane level of craftsmanship!
Damn I love this car, so amazing. This thing should be a sema showcase with all the stuff done on this rig
Thank you so much!!
Dave seems like a rad addition to the team.
Dave is awesome, very calm, extremely smart and talented
Drew at Mango Bay Metalworks needs his own RUclips channel.
Couldn't agree more 👍
"toodle-oo" LOL. . Great to see Tim... he is an absolute magician. An S2S vlog makes the week better.
Thanks so much for all the love and support every week!
Hey, Tim is back, man you guy's are a hell of a team. Thanks for the contact, very professional 👍
Thanks for watching Larry!
Mikey ... have to say, my first car was a 72 Chevelle ... seeing you all working on this 70 brings back a lot of memories. Still love these cars!
That's awesome! A72 Chevelle is a sweet first car!
Heeeeee! Tim is Back!!!! Thank you thank you. I loved his fabricationskills!!! Dont know what happened, but so glad hes back! You getting a awful highend crew over there now mikey!!
Wondering, why the BMW gearbox. I am a dutchman, and over here those gearboxes are common, but are a LOT more difficult to work on than a regular oldscool transmission.
hes not back, some of that was filmed a while ago when he was here.
It is so much fun to watch professional craftsman apply their skills. Excellent contend.
Thank you so much Tim!
Good to see tim back in the vlog hope all is well with everything you all make a killer team imo!
Thanks so much! He's actually only making a guest appearance. He moved on to another project, but his work lives on in this Chevelle!
My guess is it's old footage we are seeing now. Wonder what really happened there. He just disappeared at one point....
@@SalvagetoSavage yea forsure thats cool u guys bring him in for somethings on the chevelle
I love watching the scanning technology out these days. I would love to play with something like that with my cnc. Love the content guys, this was not boring content at all!
Thanks so much for the support! We actually are going to be putting out an episode on one of Peel 3d's scanners shortly to show y'all what they've been designing into their products!
Agreed. Its awesome to see technology like that used in custom car building.
YES! The Chevelle is back in the rotation, so glad to hear that you’re not doing the wide body kit. From 64 to 72 the Chevelle had such a sexy look, don’t mess with perfection I always say!
There will be enough unique pieces in this build to stand out even without the wide body kit! We're hoping to get more Chevelle content out for you guys really soon! Thanks for sticking around for it!
What make your StS shop is the your builds is the sultriness to how your finished product. Well done, 👍🏼
Can't wait for that K10 build
It's going to be sick!
So happy to see the Chevelle getting some love! 👍😁
We should be getting back to doing some serious work on it soon!
@@SalvagetoSavage I cannot freakin wait. So excited
I'm so glad you did not cut it up. it's a very clean car
Real nice mini tub stuff those Meats in the back, have it lookin really good
Gotta pause the video real quick. Tim, where you been? Feels good having you back! Let’s go!
Welcome back to the show Tim! What a great episode, lots of custom ideas. In previous episodes of this lovely build, you guys have inspired me to do some crazy custom work on my Lincoln which I never thought of which was the flush mount windshield and rear window along with the rain drip delete, now another crazy ideas popped out just from watching this episode, I guess I'm redesigning my interior (again) with some modern touches such as the digital dash and wireless charging 😂. I hope I finish my Lincoln before you guys start on the Lincoln in your shop that was on the jack previous episodes ago so I don't break my bank account and go all custom on it.
Great episode, keep up all the nice custom work.
Sending love all the way from Abu Dhabi!
Outstanding work Mike & team!
Thanks so much!
oh snap I missed it! so happy to see this video!!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Hay guys.
This is the buid I've been waiting for, been liking this car ever since you started, what im impressed with is the metal work you have put into it.
Stay safe.
Thank you so much!
great episode, great call on the wheels
Thank you!
Tim is back? Awesome. That 3D scanner is the busness
It's only a guest appearance from Tim. We have an episode coming out shortly on all the new scanner tech from Peel 3D!
Sweet Fab work Tim / You never fail to impress ✅
Thank you! Cheers!
Dave must be originally from New York - because he knows how to handle the hood. 😂😁😇🤟
Close! He's from Pittsburg! lol
My man Tim on the job
This all I was waiting on
Hope you liked it!
Welcome back TIMMIE💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Nice to see Tim stop by.
He made a solid guest appearance this week!
Great to see Tim back, hopefully it's permanent .
Man everything in the world seems just fine when you guys upload!
We love to hear that! Thanks for all the support. We're stoked you like the content!
So happy to see Tim back; great video as usual!!!!
Thanks again!
Nice fab work fellas. That thing is going to be rad.
Thanks so much!!
Hell Mikey! This was not boring, love it anytime you guys show that ol Chevelle. Such a cool project, and the tech you guys are using to design it and put in it… AWESOME! Dual clutch BMW trans, just wild my guy. Thanks for the update bro!😎💯
Thanks so much for watching David! This episode was a long time in the making since we've been help up waiting for parts. We just want to bring you guys the most action packed content we can!
Man, lasers and software have come a long way since I retired in '16.
The tech is getting cleaner and the prices have been dropping down too!
S2S is an awesome shop, True fabrication, Love all your videos
Glad you like them!
This is going to be the baddest chevelle on the planet.
We're excited to be one small step closer to getting this thing fired up!
So glad to see Tim back.
Out of everything I’ve been most waiting to see those hood latches. Don’t skip on the rest of that install when you film future updates
Yessir!
Great episode!
Thank you!
Another awesome episode. I always get excited when that notification comes through. You guys are killing it.
Thanks so much for all the support!
Fantastic update! Can't wait to see this thing complete
Glad you liked it!
I had to watch it twice to make sure Tim was really back. Glad to see him and hope he stays. I learned a lot when he was going deep into fab work
Wait a second my man timmie is back. Personally more of truck guy, and also feel chevelles are over done. but yall def know how to push the envelope and do some tight work. great job to all
Thank you so much!
Awesome video, love the clean way things are coming together. I know using the talent you have helps but pulling in outside specialists just seals the deal!!
Part of building something great is recognizing when other people are better equipped to get the job done! We couldn't be more stoked with our friends at Mango Bay Metalworks getting these pieces knocked out for us!
I think since it's a custom car, rolling the lips for a classy, light custom look would be nice with a slightly wider set of wheels and tires. Just my opinion.
Great seeing you back tim
I am glad you did not butchered the car to put that monster wheels!
Well now that you challenged us we're going to have to double back and get the grinding wheel out
That Chevelle is going to be sweet! Welcome back Tim!
Super clean work as always. Toodleoo lol i say that shit all the time and ppl look at me weird.
Stay weird fishpony! Stay weird lol
I love the direction of the LSX Chevelle and would love to as well as be proud to own it once finished.
My only worry is intake air filtration into those turbos if/when used as a daily driver. Would even be bad on the engine and turbo blades just driving it around on the weekend.
This is definitely not a daily driver. But there will be mesh in the turbo intake to stop and large debris from getting in. We used the same system in our twin turbo 62 stepside and it worked perfectly!
@@SalvagetoSavage I remember y’all talking about the mesh screen now that you mention it. Love the 62 step side as well but there is just something about this particular Chevelle that I really like. This would have definitely taken several prizes had it made it to SEMA. Keep up the awesome work!
Please keep the orange! I love this car!
I think the customer wants to go a bit darker with the final paint!
HELLO TIM!
Just when you think this build can't get any sicker. . . 💥 Great choice on the wheel one day if I save up enough pennies 🤣
Thank you so much! We have to stop ourselves sometimes before we make the decision between paying rent and buying new wheels! So we're sleeping in the shop this month! lol
Omg finally some chevelle content 🥲🥲
Y'all have been asking every week so we thought we should deliver! lol
@@SalvagetoSavage Made my day boys 🍻
Glad to see more work on this. Wish I had the $ I'd get yall to do a restomod on our 77 ranchero gt.
That would be awesome! We love those rancheros!
Nice to see you guys back at it. You guys are awesome. So inspirational and hoping to get my 70 done up one day. Which reminded me🤔. Did you guys ever get rid of the original chassis ? LMK. Love you guys. ✌🏽
yup! That chassis went fast!
Good stuff! 🤘🏽
Appreciate it!
Great episode, like the dual hood latch. The dual clutch transmission is a strange choice to me. A lot of my customers with DCT’s are not happy with the way it shifts but all of them have been in underpowered 4 cylinder vehicles.
Tim Moceri is back from vacation!
Just a guest appearance
Welcome back Tim!!
Thank you for the content
Thanks for watching!
great vid. Mikey
Thank you!
raisin da bar
Thank you!!!
Hell yeah! Timmy is back! Way to save the channel!
Well he’s not back, that was old footage. Does that mean our channel is doomed? 😳
@@SalvagetoSavage na you know you'll be alright. Just sucks to see him gone.
Seems legit garage is heavy into the DCT life and if you get stuck somewhere could possibly lend a hand 🤙🏽🏎
Why not tub the rear? Keeping the outside lines classic, and keeping all the meat underneath?
It will have enough traction with the wheel size we're going with for the type of driving we'll be doing. We could tub the rear, but we'd still have to get new wheels made anyway, since there's no way that the front will ever work
You guys do some amazing and clean work!!!! I love the chevelle and wish I had money for you guys to do me one my only change which I’m sure you will be doing anyways is the color. I’d go with a dark red perl with black/black chrome ish ghost stripes. Keep up the badass builds my brothas
The owner definitely wants to go darker with the paint! He's still not 100% sure yet exactly what color he wants though! That's a good suggestion!
The customer for this one is going in a very unique way. That BMW trans wont hold up though.
That stock BMW trans is rated for up to 1200 ft/lbs of torque from off the factory floor
@@SalvagetoSavage maybe, but that is the same company that thought they needed a liquid cooled alternator.
a not so Gay automotive channel... rare in todays world
Thanks!
Details on the wireless car charging pad? OE part?
Amazing build!
We'll go over it more once we start putting the interior back together!
I feel like Tim could have built the dash and console 🤔
I'm kinda torn; I mean I love the classic body lines of the 70 Chevelle, but at the same time, I'd really like to see one wide-bodied!
We'll wide body something else for you! lol
@@SalvagetoSavage You're just THE BEST!
Haven't seen Tim in a while
He made a welcome guest appearance this episode!
Oh shit tim’s not dead…..good for him 😂
He's still very much alive and well! He just took on a different project outside of the shop!
Where's Tim been? Is that a wrist monitor he's wearing? LOL!
He moved on to another project. This was just a guest appearance
I don't recall what rear end setup you guys are using, but if it is a live axle you will want to change that rubber biscuit out for a real u joint. I wouldn't think one would handle the power this engine will put out anyway.
Thanks for the heads up!
They are meant more for a fixed rear end like irs. They don't like the up and down of a live axle. Ford has recalled nearly every year of the transit van for this.
Awesome
Thank you!
Question why the BMW Transmission? Beautiful Build 👍🏾 what’s special about that transmission compared to a GMC Transmission? Just a question
Our friends at Attacking the Clock have worked with them alot. They are rated for a whole ton of torque straight from the factory. Check out our PRI episode. We talk with attacking the clock toward the end of the episode about what makes the DCT from BMW so impressive!
Yeah BUDDY!
Yeeaaah Buddyyy!! Thanks for watching!!
@@SalvagetoSavage lovin it🤙
What BMW transmission, why, and where did you get the adapter plate?
mini tub it and use shorter control arms in the front.
I need the dash insert. For my Malibu sweep. Running holley pro dash
Holley makes some pre-made dashes that fit some of their screens. You should check to see if they have anything that would work!
@@SalvagetoSavage not for the sweep. Need one like yours
Classic man s the best
Thank you!
