The difference between 1987 and 2003 is that 2003 TMNT actually USE their weapons intead of just silly gags and comedy material. I like the 1987 version but I love the 2003 version even more.
Still watching and rewatching this show. This is the best show about turtles ever! None of those that were before it or those that after it is doing turtles any justice, but this one does. I love turtles, i love splinter and ESPECIALLY the Shredder. He is what he should have been. I really fear this version of Shredder. In this show, he is a guy who you don't want to mess with, unlike that pussy from the old show. Even despite the fact that Shredder is Utrom in this show, i still love him. He is the best, and the actor who voiced him, which is Scott Rayow i believe? He deserved a award for that role.
This is the version of the Turtles I really grew up with! I was born in 94 so the 87 series a little before my time but I did watch a few eps my cousin had on vhs and I owned the 1990 movie so when this series came out, I was so glad it felt more like the movie!
That's absolutely right....in '87 cartoon which was radicaly different to the original tmnt and every other version. In the original comics, movies and the new cartoon Splinter was a pet of Hamato Yoshi and trained the turtles to avange his masters death.
It’s Defferent Bewteen The 80’s Cartoon And The 2003 The Characters That We’re The 80’s Cartoon Like Vernon Irma Rocksteady And Bebop Krang Are Not In This Version And Stockman Is Also Black Again Like In The Comics And He’s Not A Fly
@Dragzilla66 until you found out Shredder was a robot with an alien living in his stomach. but yeah, the early seasons were great. The "Flash Forward" stuff was just plain silly though. The future stuff, was to this show, what Dimension X was to the 80s show
@@teddybeer6206 there were multiple Shredders in the 2003 show. And the one that the majority refer to, who was the primary "Shredder" for the show was the Utrom Shredder.
@ExplorerDS6789 Now that Nickelodeon owns TMNT it is going to be differnet. Don is going to have a different weapon unlike his bo staff. I think 4 kids did a better job then Nick is going to do.
@ skaboy that was from the '87 series- not 2k3. in the 2003 one (the one the video HERE is about) Splinter was a rat; always was-always will. he watched his owner, Hamato Yoshi, train in the art of ninjitsu, and mimicked his moves. Oroku Saki (shredder) got jealous cuz Yoshi loved his woman and killed him. Splinter went to NYC, found the turtles in the sewer (with the ooze still to follow), and he turned into a mutant rat- NOT from human to rat. Hope i shed some light on things for ya.
wow, you need to read your stuff better, your talking about the 80s cartoon NOT the original TMNT stuff..Splinter was NEVER was Yoshi!!! They did to make the story easy for the us kid to follow better...Shredder was never part with training with Yoshi.. The reason why orukusai wanted to kill Yoshi for revenge for killing someone in his family...And it starts from there.
@blasci100 It's a figure of speech, dude. I don't want to him to die, I just want him to go away. But now that Nickelodeon owns TMNT, we'll hear very little from him on the subject from now on.
That's like saying you like Mickey Mouse, but want Walt Disney to go away (If he was still alive) He's the creator. He'll always have a say in the matter
@@teddybeer6206 Not if he sold Mickey Mouse to the highest bidder, he wouldn't. Much like George Lucas and Star Wars. He didn't have to sell it, but he did, and now his input holds no more weight than yours or mine.
It’s favorite series about TMNT. I grew up on that. I really adore TMNT 2003.
I love the mindset from the beginning which was to make it more action oriented and make it edgier. He had great intent with this series.
This is badass, you can tell he loves this series
He should. He was a creative consultant on it
I grew up on the 1987 version, but 2003 is by far my favorite TMNT cartoon.

I love them both for different reasons.

In The 2003 Series The Human Characters Are Taller Than The TURTLES
That's like in every version

New iterations tell the stories different, I prefer from human to rat because it makes more sense.
@mikkilicious558 actually bigmigs94 is right, and saying to same thing just with bad English. He was only and utron in 2k3, not in the comic.
