Two more tips: you must relocate a little after shooting to avoid being hunted by opposite spg, also you can use angled vision to determine where opponent spg is located, the tracer can be seen.
One other thing about relocating based on map control: If the flank you're on pushes up, maybe think about moving up too and taking a more aggressive position so that you can shoot around the opposite flank's cover. The corridor approaches on most maps are relatively protected from artillery fire coming from spawn unless the opposing player is being particularly reckless. If you move up, many of those defensible spots turn into shooting galleries. Also, pay attention to those numbers and indicators in your aiming reticle. Those tell you which shell type you currently have loaded and your "time-on-target" for each of those shell types at that range. That information makes it easier to figure out how much you need to lead a moving target by.
absolutely true. you clearly know what you are talking about. thanks a lot for bringing it up! which arties do you play most? do you think it is worth grinding the tier X bat chat arty?
@@WoTwithBRUCE I mostly play American and British Artillery, but I'm currently grinding my way up all the other tech trees. I'm working my way up to the Bat-chat, and what I can say is that the low tier French Artillery is probably the most painful line to play, and most of them are best played more like an indirect fire TD because of the low shell arc. I think the Bat-chat looks like fun, but I wouldn't recommend it as your first arty line.
Remove them entirely, whoever thought them up back in the day is a complete moron. Theyre inherently broken, unfixable, and a net detriment to everyone else in the game. Arty is a prime example of piss poor game design, and theres nothing they can do that will change that, bar completely change how arty plays. But since they wont do that, arty will remain inherently broken no matter the dmg numbers. Few people disagree with this, but theyre just demonstrably wrong, it really is as simple as that. Every metric out there underlines arty being a negative force in the game. Its just not desirable gameplay because its non-interactive with the rest of the players and extremely unfun to play against. And thats the case for any game out there with similar mechanics. Its always that, that is the most hated thing in those games, if its even there in the first place. Majority of devs simply no longer have such mechanics in their games because they already learned its terrible for the game itself and everyone hates it for very good reason.
One quick thing to add @5:25 STRG is CTRL on an English QWERTY keyboard.
I didn't know this until today.
Great video though!
oh, you are right. thats a mistake. hope most viewers are as smart as you!! thanks for bringing it up!
@@WoTwithBRUCE I had a hunch, but am very happy to read this in the comments as a confirmation.
I played over 1k games in Hummel and I strongly recommend to never play it. It think it's the worst arty on its level by far.
great. an arty tutorial is always wellcome. there are only a few videos out there about arties. thanks bruce!

You should focus on playing arty! 😝
Everyone dislikes arty (most of the time ) except if is a Doctor Nix in your team. If he is in your team then it is ok 😂
the best tof from me is to just dont play arty. Whole community will be happy
Artillery should get a buff to its previous state. They're too weak at the moment.
they are still cancerous to play against
@@Arkovin Maybe you're right. However, from what I can see, most games, even X tiers, are ridiculous dmg.
@@andriucha356 Yeah lets just make the least fun class to play against even more broken!
@@baconbits5070 Not broken, but more competent and effective
