Hi friends! I'm Jennifer, a fifty-something wife and mother of 7 children ages 10 - 26. We are Catholic. We homeschool. We cook from scratch. We farm cranberries. We drink coffee. We advocate for Down syndrome awareness. We are loud. We are chaotic.
Here I'll share vlogs about all these things, what I'm doing that works and what I've tried but didn't work. I hope to encourage you in your journey through motherhood, homeschooling, learning to cook, and growing in your faith through it all.

That is what we do with our blackstone, Jennifer. We spray some water on it and my boyfriend uses a scraper (the ones that come with the blackstone) to get the "gunk" off. Then he puts a little bit of olive oil and uses a papertowel to spread it. He says it extends the life a lot.

Leftover pork chops make great breakfast meat. Especially with biscuits and gravy with them. Left over bacon grease and flour.....cook until it's medium brown then add several cups of milk and allow to slowly boil 5 or 10 minutes. Bacon gravy is AWESOME on pork chops and fried potatoes.

The problem I'm having with venison is the other people in our hunting party just want to turn it into snack sticks. So they hack at the meat any which way because in their mind it'll all be ground up. For me it's a big part of my red meat for the year and I'd like to have some steaks, not just stew meat and ground venison. They even hacked into the back straps so no steak from those 😕
