    I am glad to see that people are starting to stand up for the rights of Coloured Americans. I can not wait until the so called "Biggots" are also inclusive of those against women and homosexuals.

      Danny Kroll I am sure that if you had a million + dollar contract on the line, you would think differently. Especially if it was into the end of the contract with which you had already spent a bunch of the money from it.

      Danny Kroll I think you may have replied to the wrong post. I said nothing about money in my comment and your entire response was about selling out for money. A completely different topic lol.

    I think zero tolerance is the way to go, people sometimes disguise racism with jokes and such, however, Isn't his girlfriend African-American?

    Black people have spoken about racism on many occasions but when we do we get the response of *OH ANOTHER BLACK MOANING ABOUT RACISM*

    • @soulsearchtarot
      @soulsearchtarot 10 лет назад

      There's more racism within the black community than outside of it. Get real. High yellow, red toned, good hair, golden child ec bullshit that blacks inflict on each other that no one else does.

      *****
      Hey, what this man said was despicable but I am trying to point out that the black community itself needs to stop with all the racism within. Also, you don't know me or my background to say "YOU". As for India, the Indians themselves created the caste system thousands of years before European civilization. Shocking that a people of color could be so racist, right? Race AND caste, something Europeans never had.

    How can they fine him for a fucking sentence?!! EVEN IN A FUCKING PRIVATE CONVERSATION! I am no racist at all, and i do not approve what Sterling said, but HE SHOULD HAVE THE FUCKING RIGHT TO SAY WHATEVER THE FUCK HE WANTS IN A PRIVATE CONVERSATION! It's disgusting to see that this is what freedom has become

    • @finneasmoore
      @finneasmoore 2 года назад

      He signed a contract, you idiot. He gave up those rights. No one has arrested him for what he said, but when you buy an nba team you agree to their rules. How can you not understand that.

  • @fire7side
    @fire7side 10 лет назад +15

    The guy is a total shithead, but it was a private conversation and he still has his right to privacy. If he showed racism in hiring or something, it would be different. What he said privately on an apparently illegal recording shouldn't be used against him. Those basketball players better be careful because their girlfriends could be recording them. It's a can of worms.

    • @pmccarthy001
      @pmccarthy001 10 лет назад +1

      Yeah,... right, it's his speech, and further, speech uttered in his private life. It used to be that we heard that the solution to controversial speech was MORE speech. Now, it appears, the solution to controversial speech is SUPPRESSION of the controversial speech. I won't defend anything he said, but I will defend our First Amendment,... and all this is just a seemingly politically correct means to suppress our First Amendment rights.

    • @fire7side
      @fire7side 10 лет назад +1

      Paul McCarthy I agree. There is hardly a news agency that is asking if his right to privacy was violated. That sounded like a very private conversation to me. She "says" he told her she could record anything they said, but how many people actually say something like that without qualifiers of some kind? It's not good enough. They should have contacted him and asked if that's what he meant before posting it, which I doubt he would have agreed with. There is kind of a witch hunt feeling to these things lately. We better think it over carefully because almost everyone carries a video recorder with them now. We have to preserve a right to privacy or it will get where they can basically post any private thing we do like going to the toilet or who knows what?

    • @MrGobsmack
      @MrGobsmack 10 лет назад +2

      this has absolutely nothing to do with the first amendment of even the government. it is a civil matter. sterling had a right to privacy that he apparently gave up when he asked his girlfriend to record their conversations. he knew he was being taped. he may have a civil case against her but it would be thin since he gave consent.anyone imagine he will sue? maybe since he seems pretty vindictive. and speaking of vindictive go grind your anti government ax someplace else.

    • @pmccarthy001
      @pmccarthy001 10 лет назад +1

      MrGobsmack I don't know about fire7side, but I don't have any 'grind' against government. I think the question is whether or not we're going to talk about what he said, or whether we're going to focus on punishing him for seemingly holding views deemed offensive and morally wrong in our times. One way or another, it's difficult to argue that punishing him is not effectively a suppression of his speech. My suggestion is don't focus on punishing, but rather, focus on what he said... and counter what he said. Are we going to stop teaching Aristotle because his views on slavery are offensive to most of us today?

    • @MrGobsmack
      @MrGobsmack 10 лет назад +1

      Paul McCarthy how is anyone's speech being suppressed here? sterling's will be somewhat muffled from now on due to him swallowing a lot but where else? i don't get it? and btw would happily end aristotle classes... that focus on logic is heartless. gimme plato anytime.

    If I was Donald Sterling, I would sue the girl who recorded him. I don't even care what he said, only that he said it in the privacy in his own home, where he has every right to express whatever opinion he desires to put forth. Now, because of that woman, his life is being ruined when all he did was practice his right to free speech.

    Poor bastard...for all his business shrewdness, he fell pathetically to a gold digger harlot who disgraced him in many ways than a simple blowjob's pleasure was worth. The sad twist is that the man was set up and even in his own private conversation and thoughts on other races was overly exposed and sensationalized. I don't agree with his views but i think there is more to this than meets the eye.
