@@HolyAvgr It's a parody of a tutorial for a longer rhythm game, where they put incredibly difficult rhythms in it that would be impossible for most people to match. The game doesn't actually exist. That gibberish does, in fact, mean the sound he plays though.
Polyrhythms are nothing more but a drummer's warmup.
As a drummer, this is so true lmao. I love polyrhythms though theyre super fun, but if im not wrong there are also polymeters in this
As a pianist who started percussion in middle school, it was a struggle to get my body parts to move to separate rhythms, especially for pieces like Car Wash. What finally made it click for me was actually just feeling the rhythm holistically rather than trying to have each part do its own thing

I targeted 3:2 first, then 3:4, and then 4:5 (which im still struggling with, and im learning!) I think its easier that way, but actually doing it? You just feel the song, thinking just kinda slows you down imo
@@boxed_in4357 3:2 is "not difficult". 3:4 is "not very difficult"
That was a mnemonic my piano teacher told me a long time ago to help me internalize the rhythms

Unfortunately 8bit was still fired from the Polyrhythmic Circus despite playing perfectly
He played the last note too early (0:41). Unless that was because it was the 2nd beat of the backing track?
(To be clear, I'm not judging. I couldn't get through 4 measures of it perfectly if my life depended on it. I'm not even a bar stool expert at music, let alone an armchair expert.)
Also, it's harder to catch, but the 9 note rhythm (0:26) was played one beat(? who knows I can barely tell) too late; you can see the clapping stops moments before he stops drumming. I think he got the rhythm itself right though, the start timing was weird enough to catch him off guard.

@@tcxd1164 Also, this is so hard to catch I'm not even sure if I'm just hallucinating it, but I _THINK_ that at the last "beam" of the measure that starts around 0:36, he plays 1 or 2 too few notes? It has 2 16th-notes then 4 32nd-notes, but I could only hear 2 or 3 32nd-notes.
That said, it's really hard for me to tell even watching it on 0.5x speed. Maybe I'm just going nuts.

@@SureWuz For some reason, I got only OKs on Double Date for a long time because I missed a SINGLE normal soccer ball during the hardest part of the song. It's the fourth minigame in Fever it shouldn't be that hard to Superb, right? NO, not at all, apparently!

Seriously though, I would buy a rhythm game like that, it's fun to go so far beyond the usual simple patterns
For what it's worth, 7th beat games does a lot of offbeat rhythms. Both Rhythm Doctor and Dance of Fire and Ice are great.

Well, tap troupe from Rhythm Heaven Fever has you switch between polyrhythms on the fly, with the final tap of "tap tap... tap" happening on the nearest beat to switch rhythms

I don't think I could play the harder rhythms 😂 My mind wouldn't be able to keep up! I'm not a pro musician, but I have a good sense of rhythm when it comes to the basics 🙂 I have a good ear for pitch as well, not really for chords but I can tell what pitch a single note at a time is 😉🎵🎶
