Yes the American Kids won this one; however, the Japanese Kids ENERGY was awesome, they had more of a 80s and early 90s vibe going on, but the GIRL in the YELLOW PANTS, I just loved her the best!
What are you talking about ? Whacking is the most modern of all the styles in this video.
i don't like her she touched my babies
@@placidiamunezero2309 lmao 🤣🤣
They fit those songs the best. The Americans fit the most modern songs.
The Japanese kids are just having a good time!! I love it! They're even cheering in the American kids as they dance too! They're just awesome :)
You guys need to understand the Japan kids have a different way of dancing so there moves to us look weird and to them ours look weird.
Very true, two different cultures and styles of dance.
true
Ya your right
For me they both look the same so yeah that does not matter to me a little bit
what about breakdancing it is the same way for everyone
I love the different styles brought to the table by each individual dancer. Keep in mind, these kids are more-so/ more accurately representations of their training locations as opposed to representations of their Countries. That being said, what I loved about the U.S. kids was their joint moments. The planning and execution for all of those moments were nearly flawless. I also loved how many different styles they brought to the table, waving, popping, locking, ticking, gliding, strobing, KRUMP from lil white homie (wasn't expecting that!) , tutting and animation (to name a few).
On the flip side, while there were less styles brought to the table primarily (boogaloo-esque movement from the guys and fem/wacking from the girls) I LOVED that the Japanese kids SUPPORTED the U.S. kids the ENTIRE battle. Whenever one of the U.S. kids killed the beat off or demonstrated their superb musicality, the Japanese children supported and gave them props. This was not reciprocated as much on the U.S. side. SO! All in all a very dope battle! SO much talent for kids so young and SO many different styles in full blossom among this next generation. While from a dance / battle standpoint (personally) I would say the U.S. kids took it, from a humanity standpoint the Japanese kids took it with their incredible support and visible love for other dancers, music and movement. They showed that kindness is just as viable a battle tactic and, much more powerful long term than a diss and that is an amazing cultural reflection to impress upon someone.
I think we can all learn a lot from both sides :)
Agree so much on this, ty for pointing this out!
+Alan Xiong Glad you agree! Thanks for taking the time to read that novel haha. There are probably those who disagree with us, but hey, that's what makes dance so beautiful. It is interpreted/ means something different to everyone.
perfectly true
I like this perspective! I didn't even notice the Japanese kids had such a manner of respect to them with their dancing, I'll have to re-watch
@naija player - watch
@ 3:49 after the U.S. team combo. - The Japanese kids fully give them props.
@ 4;06 - 4:20 ish they totally give him acknowledgement and energy back. They weren't trying to diss him when he approached them.
@5:53 they give Kida props on his control.
@ 6:10 LOOK how they all acknowledge his beat kill!!! They gave him as much praise as the audience!!! @7:32 they give the breaker claps and applause for his tricks.
@10:35 they give lil homie props. and again when he finishes his round.
@12:36 They start grooving WITH the U.S and get hype with them!!!. . . . I'm done.... lol... THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT! there are countless examples of how the Japanese kids were clearly dancing from a place of love and acceptance.
But go back and Watch the U.S. kids during Japan's rounds. They literally just stare at them the entire time IF they even watch the Japanese child's round. Much of the time they are talking among themselves.... So yes.... It does seem pretty apparent that the Japanese were coming more to SHARE while the U.S. kids were coming more to WIN. Nothing wrong with either, but I have nothing but respect for those Japanese kids.... They really touched me and reminded me what dance is really all about which is SHARING.
In my opinion +Thegirlwiththeyellowpants was like literally the best in her team and it was kinda like she was ALL UP ON GAVIN lol
nah she really wasnt she was just trying more to compete with him lol
There's really no need for insults towards the Japanese group, both groups did great and they showed great musicality in their dances.
that girl with the yellow paracute pants was in it to win it
The Painting Queen Yeah, she went off in all the battles.
Yeah I got to agree
yassssssssssssssss
+The Painting Queen it makes me happy watching them all having fun dancing.
+Chien Hoang Same here. Everyone gets caught up in the technicalities and forgets that dance is supposed to be fun and free.
Notice how the girl on the left copies the boy's moves from 10:30 on. So cute :')
Girl in yellow pants and the guy dancing after her were my fav I really like her confidence and dancing and he got pretty sick moves
I have to agree, but they weren't my favs becuz they were all so good to me
The fact that Gavin and Kida hit the beat the same way as Juju at 10:30 Les Twins style, was just ridiculous. Their chemistry is amazing. The whole TAT Nation represented though. Kids are some beasts
I always come back to this video historical moment
The USA kids won because they all possess different styles... Popping, locking, krumping, robotics.. Plus they had complete control of their movements within the styles they possess with the use of dimestops, ticking, freezing in some beat counts, small movements in a wide gesture, etc.. The Japanese have wacking and just straight freestyle but not much control of their movements although they have some musicality.. The only one on the side of japan that have complete control of movements is the one with all those braids and striped black and white shirt because she kept up with the use of speed changes within her style of dance which is wacking....
Very observant!
Eugene Jenkins I'm not Japanese or us but I do believe that the us kids won this battle...
Alosno Verdin I wouldn't say they suck
Agree
Every time a Japanese person would come up to dance the U.S would ignore them completely and the Japanese team would always pay attention and cheered on the U.S team. I think based purely on straight forward dancing the u.s won but Japan has got them so beat on creativity and uniqueness.
Well USA dance battles are different.
marie-claire diehl Nah
The US dancers are primarily battle dancers, not normal dancers. This is how they are made to compete, its always turf battles with them. US Studios vs US Studios, they compete amongst eachother in turf wars.
Only on the uniqueness
U.s was planning dances moves not free styling that's why
US Kids killed it. Japan had a lot of good moves but too much arms n hair movements to make everything else look dramatically good. The only one I could say had killer moves was the one in a purple shirt n hat. Other than that I think they were alright. US Kids did hell of a job.
I thought Japan did better in my opinion USA did too much with there feet and not enough with the rest of their body and Japan were more confident
Likewut EyeCanday GT you must of been drunk when you were watching because usa was more on beat with the music then any of the japanese dancers, all i seen from them is throwing their hands around...thats not dancing
I mean Japan was confident but they did not know how to dance wat so ever
+elton grigley but in the end japan won the event
+elton grigley It is, its vogue style. Which is a lot more popular in japan than in the U.S
It's hard to judge competitions like this one in particular, were the cultural differences are really strong.
USA cleaner, more precise, technically sound
The U.S. kid at 10:10 killed that
@@queenbunda4005 no he ment the guy after the japanese guy the one matching the beat in the grey hat
The girl in the yellow was flirting with that tall dude and he was checking her out lol
yeah she was definitely flirting with him but i dont think Gavin was checking her out lol. He has a girlfriend who is prettier and dances much better than her
Jack Frost Vut she dances better than you
@@TskD7 *lmao*
Thanks for the video, cuz I loved it. Those kids from Japan was throwing down!
+black cat No problem, glad you enjoyed it!
+Dancers
funny
USA got da Japan dances wit us
She really$$$ likes Bboy Gavin
love it danc'n gavin
That was crazy awesome!!! Loved it!!
I love this video soooo much I watch this over and over again
US kid's won because they were doing something different every time but the Japanese kid's were doing the same thing over again
Wow the Japanese girl with the Yellow pants has a LOT of presence, she takes over the stage with ease, which is really hard.
One hell of a battle... Probably deserves another round 🔥
11:38 the boys from USA was so funny xDD
Everyone did great! good job to all of you!
USA KIDS REPRESENTING THE USA KIDS DEFINITELY WON BIG TIME
I have become addicted to these videos
10:15 OMG YASSSS juju, things like that how they all started to dance is so 😭❤️
All of these kids are so dope! I'm probably older than all of them but I wanna be just like them! USA KIDS REPRESENT!

Opinions and feedback are always welcome, but please be nice! Different cultures and styles are a big part of what keeps dance so interesting. #SpreadPositiveVibes
+TygerGt -Growtopia Videos yeah

10:16-10:38 was the best dance ave ever seen😱😱
Collins Coka i know right
I'll be honest. I totally fan girled when realized that was Kida lol
Holy cow they are great!
The amounts of times that the Japanese threw and flapped their arms behind their heads is countless. 😂
13:30 she was like oh snap , das my jam
Jasper Kemp this girl is pure amazing
The Japanese kids where sometimes good but the american kids created an earthquake
+Blackarmor10 games yep the one on the yellow ugly pants in the Japan team wtf was she doing USA should win
CosetteTheGamer RR xD
+CosetteTheGamer RR girl with yellow pants was dirty I have watched lil kida before
kida was the nicest one if you actually look at him cuz if I recall, he was the only one clapping and he wasn't really talking like everyone else.
What a great place for a dance battle
This was very interesting
The girl in the yellow pants had a crush on the guy with the black Nike’s on the us side😂
I found it funny how the girl in the purple pants tried to imitate USA'S moves but couldn't quite get them down
SHE WAS THE BEST ONE THERE
Bronnie Fahey nah from the Japanese team the girls with the yellow pants carried no cap
Seemed like the girl at 6:30 threw a straight right and other punches. Lol Thanks for posting. So true. Different culture and different styles. All so fresh and cool. All of them. Just appreciate all of them.
song at 7:40 pleaase ! i've been searching it for a long time !!
I pull my daily inspirations from DragonHouse, Les Twins, Kinjaz, FingerCircus, etc. I wonder where the Japan kids pulled theirs :o
Unlike most people here I would give the match to Japan even though they were very close. The USA kids had great body control and precision and utilized different dance styles greatly in their routine and freestyle. However one thing they lacked was the groove and funk the Japanese had, which in my opinion is a lot harder than the technique shown by the USA kids. Remember, you can teach technique but you can't teach someone how to groove. All in all Japanese had the get down and USA had the throw down. There are also some people calling the dance style of the Japanese kids "weird". That's old school hip hop guys, the reason why they're moving like that is from where the name originated from (Bouncing of the and rocking of the hip hence, "hip hop"). USA kids would benefit from the Japanese by learning to relax and groove and the Japanese would benefit from learning the different intricate techniques shown by the Americans.
I can't really speak for the Japan kids, but I do know the US kids there definitely can grove. I think it's actually harder to street dance, than to groove, so I give the US that. Trust me the technique that some of kids are doing is not easy, they make it look easy. I do have to say, I think the Japan kids should be getting more credit than a lot of people here are giving them though because they had some good moves and musicality too.
Dancing in general is all groove how you show that groove should be shown in your dance. To me it seems like the USA kids are focusing mostly on the beat of the music while the Japanese kids were feeling it out more. Watch the Japanese girl in the black and white stripped shirt at 9:16. For some of the dancers on the USA side, some of their movements don't correlate to the music.
I would like to add something else, i've been popping for a few years now and am just learning locking and I can say with confidence, "you can train the technique but you can never fake the funk."
Babywockee, the first to dance for the US was grooving. From what I've seen, the groove in hip hop dance comes very natural to a lot of people and it's a lot more common to see. I see people grooving all the time who aren't even necessarily dancers. People groove to music everywhere, especially now that hip hop is such a popular thing nowadays. Making clean pops, small waves, doing isolations and having good body control and even just break dancing takes years to get very good at and those US kids have clearly put in that time. I think the US kids dances fit with the music very well, and their musicality was amazing and most of them were able to fit some grooving in their round along with their technique. Japan had good musicality too and definitely showed their energy. US is doing their main styles, while Japan is doing theirs. I've been watching these US kids for awhile though, and if they wanted to groove instead of street dance, they could and would
I think people in the comment section are going more crazy about the US team, is because the recognize the moves more and know the complexity. One of the main things I look for in dance battles is musicality, and since the US kids showed more body control, I think it was evident when they had good musicality. Japan did have musicality though, it's just different from what we're used to, so it's easier for people to compliment the US
USA kids needs to look at their opponents dancing, and worry less about the next round, this is a battle
They all danced in different ways and it was awsome to see them perform how they would like to perform and it is not negativity it was just to have fun
USA Kids won, of course.
Corrupted Lumpia lol how about when the japan people learn hip hop(in 2 weeks in they will be better at hip hop then those USA kids like when Breakdancing went to Asia)
AGuyOfManySurpises _withCloroxBleachJustInCase lol does he realize that they have different cultures and ways of dancing
I wouldn't say so to that, honestly we all have our own different styles of dancing wether what song it is I choose Japan in my opinion the dancing styles would be similar to what I would have done because I'm Asian... And one other thing obviously that we all have a different style of culture dancing. :P
FATHER DANIEL
What does of course mean?
They had good skills at least.
More skills than you could ever have.
I'm still going for the Japan kids!! 👍👍👍
some moves were really cool and japan kids rock and USA kids were also rocking it and doing teamwork. japan kids are really cool. nice dance battle
this was a very entertaining battle funny af also
Who's watching this in 2017??
Charlise Hamilton me

love the asians energy👌🎧🔥
I came back to this video listening to Lose my Breath because I instantly remembered this 13:25 she killed it
Girl in yellow pants ( japan) won all by her self and then usa won together
Yep
Hell nah 😂😂😂
I always remember her dancing to Lose my Breath when the song comes up
Love me some TaT and I love how Gavin was so protective, like back it lol she was dope too though. I like her confidence
I love seeing kid's do what they love!
ppl keep saying that the japanese kids' moves were too funky but its actually really cool and it gives off old school hip hop vibes.
Man, if this is how these kids dance now, I can't imagine what they will be dancing like 10 years from now. Had no clue that was the "Babywockee" that went first for the US from Jabba's Devestating Stereo performance until I read the description. The Japanese crew had sooo much energy, especially the girl w/ the braids and yellow "MC Hammer" pants. But the girl that went 1st really kicked it off. Not sure why she didn't dance more, she had moves and had a great spirit about her. She had a smile on her face the entire time and would cheer on the other crew just as much her own which shows she just appreciates dance. The 2 bboys on US killed it, Gavin and not sure the other one's name, but he could bboy and dance which was really impressive. This was a close battle w/ the 2 bboys and the girl w/ braids. Japan didn't have a response to the bboys and the US didn't have a response to the voguing/waving , Japan seemed like they had more energy and all of them were on a more consistent level than the US crew (hate to go against my own country, but just one man's opinion). But this was fun to watch
Most of them dont dance now
the Japan girl with the braids likes B-Boy Gavin
Yea
Empress Boachie yang I noticed that
Empress Boachie *ya
Empress Boachie your right
Yep 0.0
when the girl in the yellow parachute pants "did" something on the floor they shouldve censored it
I'd like to see an exhibition battle between juju, kida and gavin vs shonnie, aja and terence. That would be wild!
When I saw the video title, I'm like DAAAAYYYMM!
My favorite part was when Jujubeatz was dancing at 10:15-11:04
Juju insane that's the best yeah
The start of it was so lit 🔥🔥🔥🔥
i have to give the destiny's child song to yellow pants. that was obviously her anthem, she was feeling herself
the girl with the yellow parachute pants was so energetic and giving me life. But the American kids. killed it.
I like how the Japanese kids are supporting the American kids
All the Japan kids r doing weird moves😂😂
yeah it just seemed like they were flailing there bodies around
Dom Tracy aye wassup dom

+Alexis Raymond-Hall 👌👌👌👌 jajaj
He's the next fik-shun and d-trix lel
after kida danced his boy took him to side like " ok its over you can go now"
Very different styles but both countries' kids got their techniques down... Kinds of scary how good kids are these days..So much influence thrown at them... I'm thirty and back in the day no RUclips or classes readily available like these to help improve your skills this fast....Keep on dancing young bloods.. the versatility in these kids are no joke...I've been on the decline since working but damn nice to see the world of dance having so much talent... Definitely going to try to get my kids into dance when I do have them. Better yet hope it's in their genes to like it .Popping specifically.
What was the guy in the blue doing???😂😂
Alexia Garcia its a girl
Alexia Garcia all japan.people was girls
They were all girls---😭✋
Oop- 😗 my bad..
FOREVER USA KIDS
The japan kids are trying to hard 😂
Why ?
+Cur5e99 *too XD
Awesome
The kid in the blue t shirt went crazy on his performance
Kid in white shirt still destroyed it😂😂😂
This is Top Dance Academy (Da Family) and The Art of Technique (Jabbawockeez crew) battle bruh. Both are crazy crews with dope dancers! Especially since these kids r adults now n r still with their crews!
U can even see the senior members from each crew behind them!
I would fall in love with TAT if I was younger lol
good job USA thanks for representing us .Galvin don't let girl do that to you
both deserves to win bcoz both team did so much hard work we don't even think i appreciate both groups keep it up
awesome
nice battle.....
For me, Japanese kids are the winners...They really have some great moves. Loved it
the song at 7.33 please.
USA: what is that JAPAN: dancing boi
Guess someone can't give us a song list can they?
Twould be most appreciated.
Liked both sides. Although I prefer the U.S kids better.
The Japanese kids have some prehistoric dance moves while the USA kids had far more Modern Dance moves
The way that USA girl gave them a threat 😂😂
3:42 Gavin and JujuBeatz did it also on their battle w/ Kid David & Boogie Frantick?
just love them all..but the american kids have lots of skills than the Japanese
I'll be honest the Japanese looks drunk when they dance
😂😂😂😂
That's called having 'soul' bahah
No it doesn't -_- LOOK AT THAT FRICKINGG WAACKING 0_0...
Ahhhhhhh so youre like a 'soul' specialist?
Not saying I am but the amount of effort they're putting in has to equate to something.
deathwish,this is cringy as fuck
Dang can I get the name of the second song anyone!!??? I've been scrolling and still haven't found
