A lot of these comments rave about the amazing things Kaleo has to offer the rock genre, but even on TOP of that, Kaleo also has a gentler, more folky sound with some songs. They are incredibly versatile while still maintaining their genuineness as a band. The variety of their songs embodies the depth and complexity of their talent, because each song uniquely and completely slays any genre it ventures into. It is stunning. Kaleo as a whole transcends genre barriers entirely to me, and evokes an incredibly simple realization: this is REAL music, and it should be appreciated as such, no matter your typically preferred "style". I am in love. 💜

Yes, what I like most about this band is that they are very talented and their songs are excellent. This band really needs to be appreciated.
They're actually Christian, like U2. Their name is Greek for call to God or something like that...from the book of Exodus. Neat group of guys that radiate wholesomeness peace joy enthusiasm. Refreshing

70 years old and driving with my daughter last week, Kaleo is on her playlist. Wow. They are off the charts good . . . blues/rock and got it all. Kaleo in Greek means
"call based on the verb to call" . . . for what it's worth . . . these folks have a calling
There was an Irish band back in the '80s called The Call, which was fronted by the father of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's bassist, Michael Levon Bean

Correction: The father's name is Michael Been, and his son's name is Robert Levon Been; so, I kinda mixed them up a bit. Michael actually served as a roadie for his son's band for awhile. Unfortunately, he died backstage at one of their gigs (heart attack, I believe)

A friend of mine just got us tickets for their concert here in Munich the end of June after I turned him on to this Band. I LOVE them. About time a band with REAL TALENT & DEPTH comes around for a change. Can't wait to see them live!!

I just heard them on the radio (in Memphis,Tn) and had to look them up..I'm disappointed in myself for not knowing about them sooner! This is the type of jam that I LOVE! Plus..I have Icelandic/Norwegian ancestry..which makes them even more special to me!!
Kaleo is pretty diverse. Broken bones is blues. No good Rock. All the pretty girl's pop/ light rock. Pretty soon they'll be rapping
Pretty girls isnt pop. Just because a singer uses falsetto in a song doesn't mean it is pop. The black keys have a song called ever lasting light that is the same way, it is still blues. But, yes, that are very diverse in the styles they use to approach the genres of rock/blues.

I'm loving it! Addicted to this band!!!! Oh my goodness, it's been SO long since I've heard music like this -- Way back in the last century. Only four of them, and making music this incredible. (Just like The Who, one of my favorites back then.) Lots of parallels between the two bands, not to diminish either one. The Who is gone, but these guys are here, thank goodness.
