- Actor Pedro Pascal starred in the HBO series "Game of Thrones" as Prince Oberyn Martell. Now, he plays DEA agent Javier Peña in the hit Netflix series, "Narcos." The show's first season followed notorious cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar's rise to power in Colombia in the late 1980s. Pascal joins "CBS This Morning" to preview season two out on Thursday.
The guy who played escobar deserves an oscar! His perfomance was breathtaking

Carlos Blanco he knew he’d be there for minutes, hours tops. Plus, in Colombia anything can be bought. What really got him wasn’t that: it was his ambition to get into Congress which he did then go run for President. Due to his humiliating public ousting his ego and pride were hurt and he ended up killing important people within the government, presidential candidates and important journalists. The Ochoa’s warned him to stop as the government would come after all of them but he had saved their daughter. Nevertheless, he technically won with La Catedral had he not killed anyone he would’ve served the 3 or 5 years in luxury. Then he wouldn’t be able to be prosecuted as it’s double jeopardy. However, again his pride and ambition got the best of him and he killed his two richest colleagues in Medellin. The government went in and they then felt betrayed, humiliated and hurt and with the help of the US it was only a matter of time. However, at the end, I truly believe he committed suicide. His son and his sicarios (the ones in jail and the ones that survived) noted his shot to the head and his over 7 calls of almost 30 minutes to his son which already knew the answers or the topic of conversation and he called the hotel which he knew was ran and tapped by the Colombian Army and Federal Police. He wanted to get tracked. Then he fought and like he always used to say out of 15 billets; 14 are for my enemies and the last one is for me. He knew that if he was caught alive they’d tortured him. So he would often tell his son and wife to shot not in the mouth or in the forehead but through the ear with a large caliber weapon. That’s exactly what happened... too much of a coincidence for me. Most elite police and soldiers are trained to shoot center mass especially if the threat doesn’t have body armpit or do a double tap to the head not a single shot. Again, the sicarios too were taught this and they all commented this.

Just finished season 2. Such an amazing story and show. This season is definitely going to win some awards.
I'm obsessed with this story now. When you're at the top of the drug game, the fall from grace is painful, we got to witness that on this show. Incredible work by every single person on the show.

+Dario Angel On the show his nick name is ' Limon ' and he's played by 'Leynar Gomez'
Limon died at the end along with pablo. Popeye was actually caught and if not mistaken, still in jail to this day. Gracias!

Season 2 was just amazing, acting on point and every episode just made you want more. Hopefully Season 3 with the Cali Cartel will be as good as season 1&2.

Man of Glass Pena is so much more interesting then Steve, i don't know if he was involved in the Cali Cartel but his character needs to be Season 3.

I didn't watch GoT when it was televised but started watching "Narcos" because I was interested in the Pablo Escobar story. It didn't take long for me to fall in love with Pedro as Javi. And what an introduction we had to Javi in the 2nd episode of the 1st season! WOW! I was definitely hooked on Pedro after that!

Both DEA agents did a wonderful job. And personally the way the Colombian government was I don’t blame agent Peña for doing what he did. Go after the big man (Pablo) then the others.

Last bullet of escobar was of escobar himself, He commited suicide after getting shot.
that is a myth made up by his people to give some sort of moral victory.

j burggg It's somewhat plausible. It's believed that given the bullet's trajectory it's highly improbable that he was shot from a distance, unless it was from a freakishly good sharpshooter. It seems more likely that Escobar finished himself off or he was executed at close range after being downed.
The mystery lingers and it's not helped by the fact that there are numerous different versions told by those that were there.
