Madlib - Two four 2-For Dilla (Extended 2nd Beat)

When I first listened to this track, I found myself rewinding to the second beat a lot. So, I figured to make an extended version for folks. At first, it was pretty intimidating to loop this song because the chops make it feel like there’s no clear beginning or end. The reason it feels this way is because the chops loop after 6 bars. Usually, things loop after 4 or 8 bars. I’m glad I did this because it brought me closer to the song the same way it does when you transcribe a tune on an instrument.

This is awesome! My take is madlib made the 2nd half short on purpose knowing how amazing it was symbolic of how dilla got taken away too soon but just a theory

Interesting take! Dilla was known for doing 6/8 timing and 7 bar loops but I like how you analyzed it as something metaphorical
