According to Smithsonian, there was a Tulip Mania. It was just exaggerated how big it was.
"That’s not to say that everything about the story is wrong; merchants really did engage in a frantic tulip trade, and they paid incredibly high prices for some bulbs. And when a number of buyers announced they couldn’t pay the high price previously agreed upon, the market did fall apart and cause a small crisis-but only because it undermined social expectations."

    So many things to consider..
Fundamental analyses is way too inadequate. Just think about ‘goodwill’ to balance for the ‘unlogical value differences etc blabla.
The main value of houses is ‘scarcity’. Scarcity is decided for bu ‘location’.
Innovation, especially disruptive ones, are impossible to value. That is a gamble. But, potential upside is also huge especially when scalability is ‘easy’.
From marketing point of view arises the question ‘which need is being satisfied’ ‘which problem is being solved’. Interesting to look at that when considering crypto’s development. In addition you have the future applications.
So.. what is a bubble? You can only tell way far ‘afterwards’ it it has béén a bubble. Interesting topic btw, as there are different ideas about how to define what a bubble is.
