Chinchilla is like that unstoppable wave of energy and pressure that dolphins use to sub-surf out in front of large ships.
If the listener is bold enough to surf her music/experience, that wave can pick you up and transport you to a new place.
Its a little harrowing on the ride... but that's just part of the experience.

I watched her debut on The Voice UK on YT just now. TBH I think she is way above this show and has far more talent than most of the judges with the exception of Will I Am. Tom Jones didn't turn, I think his hearing aid batteries must have died. But he did like her hat ? Really? I hope she does well but she does not need that show.
@@piwaka50 If The Voice UK has anything like the audience the The Voice in the US, then it'll mean a huge amount of exposure fast. Knowing what we know about Chinchilla's abilities and talent I'm super excited for her. This will get her seen by many that wouldn't otherwise have seen her. Opportunity knocks.
Chinchilla has said that The Voice was from over a year ago and it's only just airing now. So it was before she went viral on RUclips and she was still very much unknown back then.
@@korova_mestoI don't know how voice UK works. I just read there's drama around 2 coaches getting fired from the show. From chinchillas season. Sounds like none of it has live voting? So I don't know how it all goes. I still hope she gets lots of great exposure.
In an interview (I think it was the recent Elizabeth Zharoff/Charismatic Voice), Ren talked a bit about Chinchilla. They’ve been very close friends for years. They both lost their industry contracts at about the same time, and encouraged and supported each other in the decision for each of them to go fully independent and remain so.

I get a massive Tim Burton feel from this video - Chinchilla would fit right in on one of his films.
Can you imagine that the same management company had Ren and Chinchilla signed at the same time and due to their negligence in looking after each of them, lost them both in a few months of each other - crazy.
Songs and videos like this is what you get from not being constrained by the safety first, overly cautious music industry telling you what you can and can't do - Ren and Chinchilla are certainly cut from the same cloth.

Latest news is that Anne-Marie has been kicked off the Voice since this series was filmed. I saw lots of negative comments on forums about Chinchilla's blind audition, which is what you would expect, as the casual viewer of the Voice will just not get her. Too original and different. Hopefully it will get her a few new fans at least!

I love Chinchilla, her voice, her style, her self made sets and costumes. She's theatrical: a visual surreal treat. Such a gutsy young lady. I just love her.

Chinchilla said she only wears the nails while performing. Then she takes them off. I couldn't imagine doing anything with those things on 24/7 I would end up losing an eye within the first hour haha

Chinchilla combines so many elements & influences in her own performance, visually and sonically. I find that very intriguing and vivid. The costumes are a sensation, and yes, the talons are out. Lol. I'm reminded of greats like Siouxsie (front woman of the Banshees). I like the old school cabaret type vibes and punky attitude combined with the modern music style. Very clever and tongue in cheek , but also some serious messages too. Great vid, as usual you are always so positive and perceptive.👍

The Voice audition was taped last December. She quickly blew up, though, when she released Little Girl Gone in April.
I was watching The Voice at the weekend, and I spat my beer all over the carpet when Chinchilla walked out to audition!!

Chinchilla is AMAZING!! like you, I’m mesmerised by her, she’s so beautiful too, stop you in your tracks gorgeous. Her costumes are brilliant and her voice is stunning. I think this song is relatable to her ex management/record label company, I’m sure I read that somewhere, but could also be interwoven with personal history. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS today Ms. Red.... In my opinion, she is way too talented for "The Voice" or one of those other "Cookie Cutter" shows... I'm still not a happy camper for what AGT did to Cakra. I think she will do better sticking with her own label and production like Ren has done. The "Industry" ruins some really great artists the minute they sign them. She is definitely good enough to do it on her own. Jus Sayin... Pretty necklace again btw..

Fantastic song, Love this woman she's incredible but she's a contestant on the voice uk at the moment and if she wins and lands a contract the talent she has will be censored...Part of me wants her to win so she sees the success she deserves quicker but part of me is so sad that she won't be able to put out songs like these any more... Might just flip a coin to decide if I'm happy or sad for her.

She's amazing!!! In all honesty, the music production style is just not something I really enjoy. But her voice is always amazing. I really would live to see you react to Cold Water. I hope she does more songs like this because it truly showcases her voice without all the big production.

I love Chinchilla and this song but I felt very uncomfortable in those scenes with her blood red outfit while crawling on the table. It looked like some kind of satanic ritual setup, it made my stomach drop. My husband and friend felt the same vibes. It is hard to get past that. But the rest was great.
