    I just found your channel and loved your devotions. This video also helped so much! During school I am doing AP Lit. , and doing college algebra as a dual enrollment course with English 101 or 101 I believe
    Edit: This gave me a good idea of what I need to get over, especially history. I'm not a fan but that's kind of the point, to get it over with. :)

    I’m take 3 dual enrollment classes (2 out of 3 of them have a 2 block period ) this year can please anyone give me advice. I am so nervous and I feel little overwhelmed.

      Hey, I'm only taking 1 DE class but I recommend breaking your classes down each week. Take 4 days out of your week and dedicate it to your DE work. Do some of each course a day so you won't get so overwhelmed. For example on Monday you will read out of your psych textbook, take your American lit exam, and study for an upcoming test in sociology. rest on Tuesday and repeat on Wednesday.

    How was us history? Was the workload a lot

    • @LydiaDeLayYouTube
      @LydiaDeLayYouTube  6 месяцев назад

      It was not too bad honestly! It’s about the same workload as a high school history class! I only had a midterm exam and a final exam in that class.

    what was bad about the way it was taught at 3:25

    • @LydiaDeLayYouTube
      @LydiaDeLayYouTube  Год назад +1

      The professor was very knowledgeable, but it was hard to follow his train of thought sometimes because he was so intelligent! The syllabus and assignments were not super straightforward, so the students just had to get constant clarification and explanations. Also, the in-person time was not used as efficiently as I would have liked. We had to use our time outside of the classroom for most of the learning. There was nothing wrong with the curriculum itself though!

    Hey ,I’m gonna take my duel enrollment class next semester and I’m kinda nervous
    Do you think take American lit gonna be a good option?????

    • @LydiaDeLayYouTube
      @LydiaDeLayYouTube  3 года назад +3

      You are going to do so well! American Literature is a great option to satisfy an English requirement!

  • @natoooop

    Do you have to take any classes before taking american government?

    • @LydiaDeLayYouTube
      @LydiaDeLayYouTube  2 года назад +1

      I do not believe so! I took American Government during my first semester of dual enrollment, so I did not have to have a prerequisite for the course.

    • @natoooop
      @natoooop 2 года назад +1

      @@LydiaDeLayRUclips I ended up taking American government but I was not familiar with the term prerequisites and the American government class had prerequisites listed. I ended up still registering for the class because I didn’t do any research on what prerequisites were and thought I could just ignore them and somehow no one told me anything yet and I’m on week 3 of the class so far lol! I hope I don’t get kicked or anything, I did email multiple people but no one told me any useful info or they simply did not know.

    I will be wanting to become a travel nurse in the future. What classes would be good for me to take?

    • @LydiaDeLayYouTube
      @LydiaDeLayYouTube  2 года назад +1

      Congratulations! That is a wonderful career! I would definitely start with your core science classes (biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology). These will be really helpful for your future career as an undergraduate then a nursing student!

    • @LydiaDeLayYouTube
      @LydiaDeLayYouTube  2 года назад +1

      Wow! That’s amazing! Typically, the highest degree someone can earn while in high school is an associate’s degree, which is generally equivalent to two years!

    I start dual credit next year but i have one question if i want a degrea in animation what classes do i take?

    • @LydiaDeLayYouTube
      @LydiaDeLayYouTube  2 года назад

      That’s a really cool major! I am not sure which major specific classes should be taken during dual enrollment. I would suggest meeting with your high school advisor and college dual enrollment advisor. However, I recommend getting your core classes completed through dual enrollment, so you can focus on your animation classes after high school. Core classes typically include 2-3 English courses, 1 math course, 2-3 history courses, and 2-3 sciences.

    Does english 1101 count for American Lit credit? Or which class in DE can give credit for American Lit bc I really don’t want to take that class in high school.

    • @LydiaDeLayYouTube
      @LydiaDeLayYouTube  Год назад

      I believe it depends on the school. I took an American Literature class titled English 2131 that counted for both college and high school credit. English 1101 fulfilled a basic English credit at my high school, but I'm sure it depends on the school. Most colleges have a section of their website related to "Transfer Credits". That might be helpful.

    What about history honours ??

    • @LydiaDeLayYouTube
      @LydiaDeLayYouTube  3 года назад +1

      Regular honors classes in high school are not a part of the dual enrollment program, but they are still great courses to take if desired. There are honors college classes that are more specialized and vigorous. These classes are typically designed for students majoring in a similar field of study. If a student is majoring in history and wants to take an honors history dual enrollment class, I say they go for it. However, it is not weighted any differently than a normal dual enrollment class.
