If you do not want the ceiling rose it could have been taken down whole as these are very expensive especially real plaster ones.

Thanks for the comment! This one was just plastered straight on the ceiling. Freestyle merengue and frames, so not possible at all to remove in one piece. There are completely finished and intricate ceiling roses, but this wasn't one of them!
