You obviously do not need a plastic wall saver onto a MDF baseboard correct?

I would strongly advise against this. Do not drill through your tile and Waterproofing it will void any warranty & can cause major water damage even far away from the shower as water can travel around the room under and behind the tiles. Place the stopper on the back of the door for a faster and safer option.

i cringe when presenters say that the job is a simple job, takes no time to do. for a professional, not a decidedly crappy diyer. the drill bit - which looks same design as he uses - doesn't penetrate the tile, in fact it wobbled around in a circular motion when drilling, even though tightened. it is very cramped when trying to drill into the tile in toilet room, squeezed between bowl and door. and i couldn't find any masking tape, even though it is somewhere. used sticky, but gave up on that. i hope that it is just the drill bit which is not for tiles, not that i've f'ed it all up. will update.
