Having grade 2 spondy and taking shots, physical therapy, taking prescriptions, massage, chiropractors and so on, the thing that gave me relief was an inversion table, it has kept me nearly pain free for the last 12 years.
Britt Adams noticeable difference? I can’t really afford one but I can’t handle the pain anymore. I’m trying to not take prescription pain meds but sometimes I can’t because pain is so bad.
Hey did you go for surgery. I have grade 1 anterolisthesis ,want to prevent to go towards grade 2.
Oh wow I read specifically not to use inversion table with spondylothesis
Grade 2 L5 S1 spondy after an accident over 2 years ago on top of that, multilevel lumbar DDD, herniated T12 L1 and bulging L4 L5 and SI joint dysfunction. Tried PT, meds, ESIs, chiro, massage, SCS trial and nothing helps. I lost 3 jobs since the injury because I cant hold out more than a couple hours before having to call it a day or two or three to recooperate. Dibilitating low back pain and sciatica flare ups all day every day keeps me awake most nights. Currently have to use a cane at 38 years old trying to get SSD and medicaid.
I discovered a BackJoy seat insert. It has kept me comfortable in my car for years! Saved my life! It positions the pelvis so that my spine stays aligned. I have Grade 1.
3:59 If you have a flare up + Ice, relaxing position

You guys put the "lol" in Spondylolisthesis
I had an ablation on the nerve that was giving me the pain from my spondylolisthesis and it has worked great for my pain! The pain will return however when the nerve grows back, which could be years depending on your age! I have had non of my debilitating pain from the spondy, but I do have to still be cautious with my back because if I do more damage at the site I wont be able to feel it but it’s nice to not have to take pain meds for a while!
Thank you! Did your insurance cover the procedure?
Nailed it with hanging relief.... I gently focus on my pelvis tilting upwards as I do it.... gives an incredible relief.... I'm at stage one.... great video guys👌
I’ve felt a lack of proper guidance and support for my situation. You two have brought more hope and comfort then any one else so far. Thank you 🙏
You got this!
Bob
Me too. Not one doctor has given me advice about phsio or anything else other than denervation , and steroid injections. So, thanks very much.❤
Inversion helps for me as well as the pull up bar. I would love to understand more about how the bones fuse! That is so crazy how awesome the body is!
Could you at some point make a video about treating and keeping the back healthy for athletes? (in my case dancers/gymnasts) who has Spondylolisthesis, it would really save a lot of people, me included! Thanks for a great video!
I'm almost grade 4 (4cm offset) and I've avoided surgery but I'm consuming 60mg per day of pain meds. The only way Ive avoided surgery and make life bearable is these exercises plus a host of devices and multiple blocks per year. I do not want a double fusion as It will permanently limit motion and not guaranteed to improve pain. Ive adapted to the med levels so they dont make me loopy or dysfunctional but if I miss I dose the pain ramps up quickly. I'm 62 and life's bearable thanks to these guys and my other efforts.
Thanks... your stuff very helpful. Have spondy and was rear ended at high speed by "texter" who didn't see the traffic was at a full stop.. and so have sacroiliac swelling/pain, with sciatic and cervical issues too.
Dear Bob & Brad please share with us the sleeping position in spondolylethisis
Sleep on your back and legs elevated with cushions or pillows. And avoid any position where your lumbar spine is extended for example sleeping on your belly is bad.
Wow- exactly what I am experiencing! Thank you!
I was told I have this and it has sidelined my running and overall fitness. I was running 4-5 miles several times a week. My pain is primarily in my right hip right at the beltline. Im hoping these videos help me get back to running again. (I can physically still do it, docs just say to wait for MRI) Thanks for the info!
Been dealing with a bad back since my spinal fusion 47 years ago. Will try your tips and see how I do. Thanks.
I hope you get some relief. I am going to have some minimum invasive surgery for my L4 L5 spondylolistesis but no fusion. Just FYI my brother has had lower back fusion and after being on major pain killers for 12 years he finally got his self off of those drugs and uses Cannabis to help manage his pain and it seems to be really helping him deal with the pain.
hi never miss your videos -always helpful - mk from wisconsin
How did the algorithm know this was my diagnosis and that I've been in pain lately? It was spooky when this appeared.
I just tried to order the thermotex from Amazon and it would not take your discount code. I will be following all your videos and would like to order your product but want to make sure that the discount codes work. Thank you
Appreciate the information been winging it when it comes to spondy...didn't wanna do injections...
thanks a lot 🙏
Are exercises for L4-L5 different than for L5-S1 ?
Love my Bob and Brad videos, thanks for the help guys.
Thank you 🙏 I am battling my spondy
Okay now I'm curious about the spine vertebraes fusing together
Me too! I never knew this. I'll have to research. :)
Do you suggest going to chiropractor for adjustment
Thanks Bob & Brad . Great video. Can you tell me if it’s normal to feel increased nerve leg symptoms after the exercises(not during) then gets better the following day? Then the cycle may repeat itself.
Appreciate it
I hurt afterwards as well, not sure if it’s normal
I hurt during and after. Great question.
Thanks, very helpful…
Where is the back brace? I don’t see it on the products page??
Excluding x-ray and scans what signs and symptoms distinguish spondylolisthesis from disc problems?
Well, you two made me laugh again at the last minute comical scene !
Theme song is so painful it works. Bahahahaha...😆😂
What mattress do you recommend for spondy?
Can you please suggest where to purchase the memory foam lumbar support for the car is there a specific brand for my wife she's suffering and is only 5'3". Thanks
just seen this thanks. How do you know what you are suffering though? My chiro has suggested degenerative disks, so i assume that means the padding between the discs have errored, but is this Spondylolisthesis, hernitated disk or disk budge? The exercises are different so i assume matters.
These guys are good salesmen
Is swimming helpful? Should I avoid backstroke or any other style? I am asking this because I have been doing planks to strengthen my core and now seeing this I think I should better avoid it.
Which are the 5 Best Treatments that you both are not showing though they are mentioned on the title of your talks
you guys are great salesmen .
I am 74 years old and I have spondylethesis in 4/5! I have ablation and spinal steroid injections which never worked long if at all! I have been advised to have the laminectomy with fusion! I had a laminectomy in 2008 at 5/6! The pain was gone when I woke up! I have been trying to go swimming but the pain from driving and walking is so bad I have trouble getting there! I am scared to death of the fusion part of the surgery! What exercises should I do at my age to strengthen my core and relieve the back! The pain is bad that I take Tramadol and Gabapentin twice daily! Aleve or Tylenol do not help at all! I am at my wits end and I want my life back! Please Help!!
I’m 58 I have same as you couple hours in the day might be ok but besides that ughhh l4-5 grade 2-3 it is so painful on kelorac and gBa meloxicam trued cold heat feels great I’m miserable too 😔
How deep in milimeters is your spondylolisthesis? I've got 9mm,but noone told me what grade it is. I was barely able to move but after few exercises from your videos i feel great again. I'm only 31 yo, i was in deep pain but now it's all gone. Thank You !
Hi what did you do to help with the symptoms. I am suffering with this issue for the last 4 months. Please let me know
I was Dx with spondy in 1998. I had no disks left in my lumber spine. Had surgery in 1999 where they rodded, plated and screwed me. Since that surgery, for the past 15 years, im progressively getting more and more pain. The pain is just like the pain I had before I had the surgery. I've had 2 surgeries on my neck, plated, screwed and fused. Found out 2 disks ruptured in neck. Waiting for surgery! Help!!!
My God I hope you get some relief.

What is the best chair for reading, watching TV etc..? Is a recliner a good chair? I have been diagnosed with a severe grade between L4 and L5
I use a recliner with a memory foam lumbar support that feels good.
I diagnosed with spondylosis and disk bulg both in L-5 and S-1 please suggest what to do
How do you determine what size of exercise ball to buy?
I know this reply may be a year too late, but it might help someone.
When sitting upright on an exercise ball:
Feet should be flat on the floor - with an even weight distribution.
Knees should be level or slightly lower than the pelvis - creating an angle of 90 degrees or slightly greater at the hips and knees (thighs parallel to ground or pointing down slightly).
Pelvis, shoulders, and ears should be in a vertical line - the body should not be leaning in any direction as a counterbalance. Bouncing up and down lightly will usually produce this alignment.
Exercise ball diameter Person's height
45 cm
5' and under
55 cm 5'1"- 5'8"
65 cm 5'9"- 6'2"
75 cm 6'3"- 6'7"
85 cm 6'8" and taller

How do I stop the Spondy wobble? L3-L5 grade 1. I have been in PT, and I can now do short distances with much less wobble, but after a little distance, I return to wobbling.
Hi Bob and Brad! I have spondylolisthesis l3 l4 and sitting is extremely painful. Will these exercises still work for me? I need to stabilize my spondy.
is hula hoop good FOR MY SPONDY?
I think it keeps my spine flexible
Hello can you answer which is better McKenzie Method physio or physio?
Hello guys, I'm having problem with my thoracic back I feel numbness and tingling on my mid to upper back. Any suggestion or point me to one of your videos? Is it critical or will it go away with some stretches?
♥√√♥ Bob Schrupp and Brad Heineck ♥√√♥
I definitely need a leg wedge but the price difference between the UK and USA is ridiculous $29 or £80. I live in one of the greediest countries, smh. Thanks for another great video because the treatment is so similar to stenosis xx
Kirsty might try making one as £80 way too much.
Kirsty Macfarlane just use a 3 or 4 pillows under your legs, sofa cushions work well.... yoga ball is best during the day in my opinion.
John Snow tried the pillows and they work great when I'm doing yoga but not in bed. I shopped about a bit and can get one for closer to 40! I should be able to get one from my doctor, unless it's more meds they can give you, they don't care! It's 3.10am and I'm going to have to take 2 morphine and 2 naproxen. I've spent 30 mins doing gentle stretches and 30 mins with a med density rubber ball under various bits if my back and hips!
Mrs P looked about and can get one for about 40
Kirsty Macfarlane I'm in England aswel.... sleep struggle eh.... morphine is my next prescription.... not feeling confident now 🤣. Have you tried laying on your front with two pillows under your hips and one under your chest? I get nice relief for a short while and have managed to fall asleep okay a few times.... more often than not though I need to fidget then am back to basics of crap sleep.
I can’t lift my bottom or legs up from a lying down position.
Do these exercises work for retrospylolisthesis too?
Ben Erin I have been told to do similar exercises for retrolisthesis. Strengthening the core should help stabilize either direction.
+physical therapy video, does this ever cause a shift outwards?
My pain isn’t in my back. It is my leg. Neurosurgeon wants to do surgery. I am not sure I don’t want to try exercise first
Brad, what is the extent of your slippage? How many centimeters and has it progressed over the years?
Grade 2 last time I had x rays. Over all is better but I must do my exercises and not do silly over exerting activities. Sometimes a challenge as I am naturally an active person.
Is doing deadlifts good as well or not?
Deadlifts has been the best excercise for me for providing relief as I have spondy in the L5/S1. However, it has to be a weight that you can do 15 - 20 reps of and the form must be impeccable. There are a number of subtleties in the deadlift that people get wrong and that can cause pain. Form and light weight is key
With this condition, should you avoid the Asian resting position? Glenn
What if your body doesn’t like the cold?
Have you done video for retrolisthesisis. L2L3
Carl Cisc I would like to see one for retrolisthesis as well. L2 L3 as well.
You say planks don't work for you, so maybe pushups for strength neither?
Stop promoting the products show me bunch of exercise which can heal the spondy.
