After his recovery without surgery. Can Tidus run , jump? I asking this because my beagle (ACL rupture one leg) has a lot of energy and he is 6 years, the vets just say to do surgery to be able to run or jump again but that option is killing me, I want to try non surgery option.
My Husky boy had TPLO two weeks ago and we could not be happier with the results. My wife is a Ortho Clinical Nurse Specialist and she was good with the operation. Victoria & JC wow!! Top rated educational video for a real life potential situation that happens to many dogs. My beloved Golden Daisy had ACL surgery at 8 yrs old & she did well with full recovery ( I used my PT knowledge which helped), but this non-invasive healing is optimal. My vet never gave me an option for natural healing. You're amazing dedicated doggie parents, this route isn't easy either. Did your vet also recommend glucosamine with chondroitin by any chance? Thank you for providing this video. Tidus is so sweet & trusting, he'll do just fine❤️
Thank you so very much for the sweet message! Yes, ACL injuries are so common, and we feel there needs to be more information out there to empower dog parents. I'm so glad your sweet pup recovered. Most vets will not tell you about this option, actually all traditional vets tried to push us into surgery. I believe that's what they are taught as the only option. Physical therapy route takes a lot of patience, but we want to do what's best for Tidus and we're there for them for what he needs, not what's quick on our end. We have so much more coming on this subject, but our holistic vet has us do home made bone broth therapy instead of glucosamine with chondroitin. sending lots of love and much more to come ❤️
About 2 weeks ago my border terrier /Jack Russel cross started limping at the dog park. I saw no evidence of why so I called my vet and after he took the time to thoroughly explain why what I described was an ACL injury he suggested I pick up some anti inflammatory meds for a while and see how he then is. I have used this vet clinic with all of my critters for about 25 years.I am so blessed to have vets that think conservatively and do not first think SURGERY. i am seeing a definite although small improvement. After considering alternatives and watching this video, I am going to put aside any thoughts of surgery.until I give resting and supplements their chance. Also my dog weighs only 22 pounds and is very fit so he has a good chance with this approach. I am also considering a canine wheelchair which research shows to be a helpful aid. Thank you so much for clearly demonstrating the course you followed to a successful conclusion.
ligaments cannot be restored unfortunately. I wonder how expensive this “prosthesis” is in comparison with TPLO, if it is much cheaper, then this is a great way out for people who cannot pay TPLO .
yes a prevention video would be great! going through this now with my boy, I'm going to do infared laser therapy and have him on omega 3 and a product with cetyl myristoleate great for joint injuries. 'I'm very concerned about his uninjured leg.
I enjoyed your video very much. I have an Old English bulldog, who is very athletic, loves to run and fetch and he has recently suffered the type of injury you are discussing. We are both retired so we are with Bronx (the dog) and his sister all the time. His sister is an English bulldog and not athletic like Bronx. We dread the surgery for Bronx and we know it will be difficult for him to give up running and fetching but we will do whatever we can to prevent surgery. I look forward to your next video. Thank you so much!
Claudia L absolutely! We’re filming, documenting and planning to share everything we do for Tidus’ recovery. Thank you for voting yes on the prevention video! We really want to film it, but wanted to make sure it’s something you’re interested in ♥️
Our first husky had the same injury - she was overweight & ended up damaging her other leg. I searched for options & remember looking for anything regarding this problem. We decided to go through the surgery & sadly she passed away right after. I don’t know if it was her body fighting an infection or something else. I felt helpless & lost without her. I made a promise to myself to not let our other pups get overweight to avoid this injury. Thank you for sharing your husky adventures!! All the best for a speedy recovery.
@@claudiamarykay1 OMG I'm so sorry to read this!!! Sending so much love and hugs your way. Yes, prevention is KEY, and a healthy weight is one of the components to prevent this injury in active dogs. I’m so sorry you all had to go through this! But any preventative measures you have is very welcome. I so appreciate learning all the time of the holistic routes in general. Thank you!!!
I have a 5 year old Pit Bull that is Super Active, on the beach daily running, jumping, digging and she just got diagnosed with an ACL to her left back leg. I’m devastated. Please help me with how to heal her with everything u learned over the years. She’s my life so I’ll do whatever it takes to give her the best life possible pain free. Thank u
I hope tidus will heal soon and get well let Him to relax for while We love all your videos and specially Loving dog tidus is good singer thanks Sharing your videos I will watch them even old or new we love Husky Square channel you the best God bless your family dog
Kaos is getting his Tplo surgery next week. Two years of being in pain, also being diabetic. His right leg is very bad but I think his left also has cruciate damage will def look into the brace for the other leg. Surgery is Dear but he's in pain every day and needs it. Glad I found this video, very interesting.
I'm curious what made you choose this particular brand of brace? There seem to be a lot of choices... Just starting my research as an alternative to surgery.
We're already editing the next videos and some of our friends here are asking about a prevention video too! That one we're very excited to film! Thank you so much for the healing messages. Have the best weekend! ❤
Thank you, my dog have the same issue, but it is not limping, the vet is willing to do the surgery, here in Brazil it is expensive also, but what I am worry about it is the recovery. Your video and blog are helping a lot.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Our 7 month old puppy has a partial tear of his ACL and we are just beginning our research on alternative methods of healing other than surgery. We found your video very helpful. Thank you!
4Rich's Thank you and we’re so happy our videos are helping people learn about the alternatives. We will soon release a video showing the new braces we ordered for Tidus and his first steps wearing them. Stay tuned!
We're in the same boat but we have another problem. Our dog is a hybrid, part husky part wolf. She will not let us handle her like that. We have to be exceptionally careful and we know what we can and can't do with her so putting a brace on and off, doing anything with her damaged leg is not cool.
Hey! Awesome channel, just subbed. My 4yo GSD recently tore her ACL. The thing is, if she doesn't get at least a little walk in - she will run around the house late at night all energetic and crazy, making it worse than a standard walk! I've got a red light LED therapy coming in the mail, but I'm probably going to get these (2) braces. Thank you! How active can the dog be when he wears the brace?
I'll have to look into one of those braces. My Akita is just over a year old and ended up injuring his knee. They said he looks like he's healing, just slowly, but I kind of want to look into a brace either way as a just in case.
How is your Akita doing? Tidus is fully recovered since May 2019! :) Here are all the details + braces info: huskysquad.com/dog-acl-recovery-without-surgery/
@@huskysquad He's actually been doing really well, thanks for asking. He has a yearly checkup coming tomorrow at his vet, so I know they'll check his leg out and see how it's doing. I did end up getting one of the knee braces for him as well. Mostly as a just in case. Because even comparing what happened to your husky he only really limped for a day or two. After that the only reason I could tell anything else was wrong was I kept hearing his knee popping loudly for a little while. But now I might feel it pop slightly and that's only if I really try and test his leg. So hopefully it'll keep getting better at this point and nothing else will happen.
Our lab is 6 years old and tore his acl. Great video going to order braces. Very worried parents here. I was just wondering how old was Tidus when he had first acl tear?
I’m sorry you’re going through this with your beloved dog 🙁 Tidus was around 6 or so too! Read this blog, we documented everything we did to recover him both times: www.huskysquad.com/dog-acl-recovery-without-surgery/ we wish you guys a sold recovery 🙏♥️
Thank you for this great video hope your Dog Tidus is doing well and healthy - we have a Labrador 13 year old who tore his cruciate last Sunday at the beach slipping on sand and is due for surgery in 2 wks would like to explore conservative treatment with massage brace etc he is improving already rubbing arnica & cooling jel into his leg and carry him out to toilet to walk on the grass avoid any steps or uneven ground any advice appreciated.
@@MarcoLombardix We're not nutritionist or vets, so I'm afraid to give advice in a tough situation. We feed raw, made for dogs from a very reputable brand
@@huskysquad I'm having problems with the rewards to give to Balto, in Italy the products are all very chemically treated and we discovered a mild form of dermatitis ... I was wondering what you use as rewards all here. I ask advice to you more than anything else in friendship, I know that you are not professional figures. 😉
Thank you Lupita! They send you a package with everything you need to do the casting yourself. You just need to make sure you follow the instructions precisely, and your dog needs to be calm through the process.
Hello, thank you. My Golden Retriever/Husky Goldie has an ACL injury on her right rear. I will be getting casting for both. You mentioned Tumeric, which I am familiar with, however, did you use any anti-inflammatory from your vet?
Did Titus have a partial tear or a full year and do you know if the meniscus was still intact? I just went through this with my dog but didn't have all of this helpful information. I did do research but we felt pressured with time to get a lateral suture repair surgery done for my dog for her fully torn CCL, because she also has a partial tear in her other leg. I'm glad I found your video. I want d to get her a brace but our vet strongly recommend against it for sores, but I guess this is what veterinarians do like medical doctors who don't practice holistic healing. Also, may I have the name of your holistic vet please? There are none in the state where I live. My dog Allie will start physical therapy soon, I think swimming would be better for her since she has a partial tear in her other leg too. Thank you for your helpful video, I hope Titus is doing well and has recovered well, you have a beautiful pack. Thank you for your help!! 🐾💗🙏
Sorry for the late reply. The link is in the description of the video. But here's the entire blog with all the details: huskysquad.blog/acl-recovery-no-surgery
I would love for you guys to make a prevention video! I’m scared for my husky German shepherd mix to get hurt. I know she’s the combination of two dog breeds that are prone to joint injury. I raw feed her and give her turmeric everyday but is there anything else I can do? A week ago she was playing outside and started limping so I put her in a crate for a few days to prevent any movement and it went away. It was nothing serious but it did give me a scare.
We'll definitely film a prevention video! It sounds that you need to be very cautious with here right now. Feeding raw and Turmeric is fantastic. I would stay for starters, make sure she is at a healthy slender weight that you can see the her "waist" from the top, that is very important! If you have a tall car like an SUV, don't let her jump in - use a ramp or pick her up if you can. Also, omega oils daily is very important.Check our amazon store for the one we use for the squad: bit.ly/huskysquad-amazon-favs much more to come! ❤
So how did it go ?...still glad you decided against surgery ? We have done tplo surgery 4 times for our dogs, but this time it is our 11 year old Dobie mix. His life expectancy is 11-12, and although we always want the best for our baby, we are questioning spending almost $5000 for a dog that is mid 80s in human years, so we are looking at all options. Thanks so much !
Hi! Im sorry if you already answered this, but what is the name of the braces you got? I went in to the Ortho Care website, but I was not sure which one. Thank you!
my dog was diagnosed 4 months ago, i don't know if the surgery would be a good idea, i see many dogs in the following years will have the other knee affected whyyy?? it's because the surgery?
Dena Oller Hey there Dena! Tidus had two partial tears as well. His first was about 6 years ago, which he recovered with the help of his first brace. We have so much more coming on this subject, but our holistic vet has us do home made bone broth therapy instead of glucosamine with chondroitin. sending lots of love and much more to come ❤️
Great video. Get well soon pretty Husky🐕🐕
Tone Mott Gym Box thank you so much for the love to Tidus ♥️🐻😀
Well Done JC and Victoria Tidus looks great Hope all is well with everyone

You are an angel.💖
Tidus is such a good boy 😊😊😊
Sending healing vibes his way 🙏🙏🙏
Yes he is! Thank you so much for the love to him! Your support means so much to him ❤🐺
About 2 weeks ago my border terrier /Jack Russel cross started limping at the dog park.
This is really informative. Thanks for sharing, guys! It sounds like a great recovery plan for Tidus ☺️
tawilso thank you so much friend ♥️🐻 we’re confident in the plan and amazing team we’re working with 🙌😀 so grateful
ligaments cannot be restored unfortunately.
Yes- more videos on this injury. Anything to prevent this from happening would be helpful.
We're so passionate about this subject, and we can't wait to share everything we're learning. Sending a lot of love and hugs to you! ❤
Thank u

Ditto. Looking forward to seeing the reply to this question.
Awesome video! Get well Tidus! 💕
Thank you so much for the well wishes, friend!
Your dogs are beautiful! Good luck, Titus
thank you so much! We have an update video: bit.ly/Tidus-ACL-Recovery-Hydro-Episode-2
Please do a follow up video! Definitely interested! Love the husky squad❤️ feel better Tidus❤️
I'd like to continue watching how Titus did after using both braces
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Our 7 month old puppy has a partial tear of his ACL and we are just beginning our research on alternative methods of healing other than surgery. We found your video very helpful. Thank you!
4Rich's Thank you and we’re so happy our videos are helping people learn about the alternatives. We will soon release a video showing the new braces we ordered for Tidus and his first steps wearing them. Stay tuned!
Here, our video is up about Tidus's new braces! huskysquad.video/dog-acl-brace
Thank you SO much for all of this. Watching you videos and taking notes! Much love!
Please give Tidus lots of hugs and kisses. I hope he gets well.

Ty for making these video
Answer to my prayers
Wow what a strong woofer 🐾🐺 love this!
Yes a prevention video would be amazing. My little guy had one TPLO almost two years ago, and just starting limping on the other hind leg. :(
Do you know why this happens?
so glad I found this!! our 2 year old pitsky Luna just had this happened to her and I was told surgery was the only way to go. :(
Why not go the surgical route? I know it's expensive but seems like all the stuff you all are doing wouldn't be much cheaper and take way more time
Nice bed sheet or rug on which dog is sitting. Exotic pattern.
Thank you, we sewed it ourselves ❤
Awesome🐺💞💕Luv the pups beautiful can't wait to see swimming with Husky Squad
Thank you so much!! We'll definitely have the swimming sessions coming to our channel. Your support means so much to us! ❤
Did I miss where you ordered his titanium braces? Please send me where you had the casts made. Thank you !
Get well soon Tidus, thanks guy for sharing your videos with us I love it.👍😃😇❤💯
Thank you so much for the well wishes ❤❤❤ Much more to come and have a beautiful weekend!
@@huskysquad thanks likewise sir😇
What a great dog just laying been good
Marlene Platcek Tidus is such a good boy 🐻♥️ he knows and feels we’re helping him and we’re calm 🙌 thank you so much!
Thank you so much for the most wonderful video. Yes please prevention video would be great
Yes please make a prevention video
Thank you Steve very helpful and loving
Our lab is 6 years old and tore his acl. Great video going to order braces. Very worried parents here. I was just wondering how old was Tidus when he had first acl tear?
I’m sorry you’re going through this with your beloved dog 🙁 Tidus was around 6 or so too! Read this blog, we documented everything we did to recover him both times: www.huskysquad.com/dog-acl-recovery-without-surgery/ we wish you guys a sold recovery 🙏♥️
He’s such a good patient!!! ❤️🐾
He is a sweet teddy bear and we've developed great trust and calm between each other 🐺❤
Which company did you buy the leg brace from? Thanks!
when are you posting your raw food video?
We're filming it this coming week! :)
@@huskysquad okay thanks! i appreciate you answering!
Good job guys! A kiss to tidus ♥️
My Husky Experience thank you friends ♥️ we’ll give him cuddles for you! Have a beautiful weekend friends 🇮🇹
@@huskysquad I need your serious food advice...is it a problem for you to talk about it? Where can I write you (privately possibly)?
@@MarcoLombardix We're not nutritionist or vets, so I'm afraid to give advice in a tough situation. We feed raw, made for dogs from a very reputable brand
@@huskysquad I'm having problems with the rewards to give to Balto, in Italy the products are all very chemically treated and we discovered a mild form of dermatitis ... I was wondering what you use as rewards all here. I ask advice to you more than anything else in friendship, I know that you are not professional figures. 😉
Good info! Get better Titus! Would you guys ever own a husky mix GSD? They are a beautiful mix.
Thank you for this great video. We are going to get a brace for Sparky.
Thank you so much for sharing this!
Did he have a full acl tear or just a sprain?
Hi love your videos ☺️ I wanted to ask you if you need to have a vet do the casting process or if you can you do it yourself?
Thank you Lupita! They send you a package with everything you need to do the casting yourself. You just need to make sure you follow the instructions precisely, and your dog needs to be calm through the process.
Husky Squad thank you so much ☺️I really appreciate it 🌹
Great job guys. Tidus feel better soon. How old are your pups?
Thank you so much Andrea! ❤ We don't know all of their exact ages, but between 7-10
Hello, thank you.
Do you let your huskys rough play? I’m worried my two will get aggressive and hurt each other if I keep letting them wrestle together.
Hi, I have been using cold laser therapy on my standard poodle's right rear knee. Have you thought of this type of therapy before?
Can you tell me if he had a full tear or a partial tear?
Please do a prevention video ❤️👌🏻👍🏻
Was it a partial or full CCL tear?
Where is the link for the brace? - Thanks for the video
Sorry for the late reply. The link is in the description of the video. But here's the entire blog with all the details: huskysquad.blog/acl-recovery-no-surgery

excellent video ...how much is the price for both braces....thx a lot
I love how you guys take such amazing care of your dogs. Every dog parent should be like you guys. God bless :)
Thank you so much! We feel they deserve THE BEST :)
Love you guys!
Thank you so much! Lots of love ❤
Aww poor puppy~ get well soon~
How much overall would you say you spent on this whole process to include all the therapies, medicines and materials/braces?
Acl injury prevention would be awesome to know!!
Noted! :) Thank you
We filmed it, it's coming! :)
Thank you!
It’s the only custom knee brace they make 😀 be sure to use husky0520 during checkout for a discount!
@@huskysquad Thank you! will do!
Did you put Tidus on any medication from the vet? or just natural supplements?
Yes, please make a prevention injury. Our 11 year old just hurt his one leg and we want to make sure we don't let him hurt his other leg. Thank you.
my dog was diagnosed 4 months ago, i don't know if the surgery would be a good idea, i see many dogs in the following years will have the other knee affected whyyy?? it's because the surgery?
My puppy has two partial tears. Nice to know there are other options than surgery. Their beds look super comfy. Where did you get them?
Dena Oller Hey there Dena! Tidus had two partial tears as well. His first was about 6 years ago, which he recovered with the help of his first brace. His second (on the other leg) happened Dec 2018, and he is pretty much fully recovered now. We’re happy to share the alternatives to those who will benefit.
