Thanks for saying there should be more bike paths and bike lanes given the number of bikes using the roads. :) I’m used to a bike lane being a very thin strip of road but, especially on highway 1, I wish they cleaned up the debris accumulating in the bike lane (strip).
We need to work on that and improve.

looks like a crazy challenge. The longest I've done has been 50 miles of paved bike path in one day. That took me about 4.5hrs going 13-15mph the entire time and I was beat when I was done.
Wow you just made the pacific coast drive even more beautiful than what I've experienced. GG bridge and fog are the most quintessential combo like bread and butter

This is super interesting to me! I love the idea of doing a long trip using an ebike. Great idea to drive out of the city first though. The Himiway looks sweet! At 55 I would NOT try for 80km though! :)
You should. The next videos will show how cool and how beautiful the 101 route is. I will hopefully go back soon and do it again. Best trip this year so far. With there batteries you can do 80km easily at 55 or older.
@@ElectricVehicleSpace I suppose at assist level 5 I could certainly give it a go. :) Been wanting to get an ebike for a while now as it would get me out FAR more than my regular bike. Straining up hills is not fun at all, so the assist would make it so much more fun. I'll have to start budgeting now to see if I can manage it next summer though, it would be soooo good for my health.

I’ve been considering buying the cobra pro but have hesitated because there aren’t many videos with im depth reviews on it. I’ll be following your journey. Do you have an opinion on why the cobra pro has not received much attention in the RUclips ebike reviewer community?

I've been once again thinking of buying an e-bike. I used to ride a cheapo mountain bike when I was a teen in Arizona, loved it even though the bike was fairly bad. hehe
My budget is rough to work with, trying to stay below 2k USD if possible, but if a few hundred more wouldn't kill my wallet if it was worth it.
Yesterday started looking a bit at Himiway. Fairly important for me to buy discounted, sort of a rule of mine. :) Thankfully found some discounting for them.
How would the quality of bike and service be rated for them? Mostly it seems I read/hear about the Zebra more than the others, is it sort of the flagship bike?

A bike seat that is not uncomfortable? No way.
Any bike seat for long rides will get uncomfortable but not sure why on Cobra I was able to cover 150 miles in 3 days and no fatigue nor pain.

Hello because of a good Himiway bike After 3 weeks and about 15 km it is defective (no more pedal assist)
After I tried the support they wanted a video from me with the description of the problem,
what I had done. The driving assistance via hand throttle worked perfectly,
what I showed in the video.
And what email came back from China ??? a video how I can speed up the hand throttle illegally,
with the statement that they helped me with it ?????????
I think the Himiway Service in China can't even watch video properly.
I've only had the bike 3 weeks and already have a neck on Himiway.
I hope for you that you never have to use the service, because the support in Germany gives the problem
also only to China, because nothing else comes from there either.
