He doesn't feel good to do live shows, because of his age, and problems of health (his audition, for example, is permanently damaged, for the constant use of headphones in loud volume).
He does like to perform to people, but all this things make him decide not to play live anymore. You can see that when on Human Equation Theater, he asked for Wudstik to play the role of the Best Friend in his place, although he was involved with the production of the shows.
All Ayreonauts I see on the web seems to want see him as well :(
Those shows he made with Anneke are one exception, cause she convince him to, but, if he appears again, it will be a rare thing, like the universal migrator passing by ;)

I've also been told that Arjen is physically unable to be flown long distances because of his back. Which means we will never see him in the United States.
