The combination of the lyrics and choreography suggest to me it's about the turmoil of a young woman going through teenage years (this song was originally released when the girls were 18 and 16) and noticing that despite society trying to tell them there is one way to be everyone is different, and that they are different (a teenage girl performing metal?!).
The dancing involving pointing at their heads in the gesture people use to imply going mad, and holding their hands to their heads, and of course Moa and Momo freezing in shock when they start to see reality for how it is rather than what they were told as children.
As others have said, Babymetal like to leave things to interpretation and they use allegories a lot so there's a lot you could take from it.

The lyrics of this song are practically a meme, besides the funny choreography lol

I'm an Asian. I would say "Society over individual" phenomenon is existing in all countries but Japan and Taiwan. Society and individual are about equal importance in the two countries.
What I love about Babymetal is they don't lecture to, cry on, or scream at anyone for gaining attentions on those subjects they wanted to address. My interpretation about the lyrics of YAVA is "I felt they are all different, but people said they are the same. This is sooooo confusing me!". Confusions are evil! And, we don't want these three adorable teen age girls to be worn out by confusion while they seeking for truth in life, do we?😌
By the way, great reaction! See you in next reaction.

I was at Legend MM for this performance. Yava! is my favourite Babymetal song, so I was beyond hyped when it started. It well and truly lived up to massive expectations.
Yava! is basically Babymetal doing ska music, that's why it's got that unusual rhythm going.

a lot of the times their lyrics are purposefully vague so it's open to interpretation

The lyrics is certainly one of their most intriguing, if not the most, it’s very intentionally vague & avoids to give any sort of context. It could be about BABYMETAL being different & how expectations build in a certain space sometimes are used in a negative & prejudicial way to judge people who are different, “They are too different, so I am at a loss.” Other interpretations say it could be a Japanese thing, some sort of funny slice of life story or dilemma being told, among many interpretations.

BABYMETAL with their take on mixing Ska with the Metal .... and the lyrics are open to your own interpretation, they are deliberately vague and confused in this one, but maybe it is about how people are confused about what BABYMETAL are and what they do being so different to what they're used to.

    🍑 ⚡ 💕 / 🤔
One of my favorites off of the 'Metal Resistance' album.
The official lyric is "ヤバッ!" (Yaba!), which is a clipped form of "yabai".
Originally "yabai" meant "dangerous", but in this song and in popular usage, it's also used as an exclamation.
"Oh no!" is a pretty good equivalent in English.
Even with a translation it's hard to know exactly what this song is about.
As Du-Metal says on his translation page, "The meaning of the lyrics is vague, obscure & ambiguous." : )
If you want an in depth dive into the meaning of the song, Prof. Andrew Hartley has one on his RUclips Channel.
