I watched a video of Scott Hall talking about this same DDP hazing the other day. DDP took it like champ and got a lot of respect from the guys afterwards. And DDP has gone above and beyond after wrestling, by helping retired wrestlers and veterans. DDP is a stand up guy, sure his always positive attitude may rub some people the wrong way, but the world needs more DDP positive types in it!
I always thought it was impressive DDP broke in the business in his mid thirtes and had a hell of a career.. I also think as others im sure feel the same, is how DDP breathes life back into these guys in the business that need someone like him and his sober living house along with his Yoga Class to build the strength back up both mentally and physically.. His Yoga program saved this Iraq Vets life. Seriously. I wish I could meet him & say thank you. I had a noose around my neck just a few years ago & ended up doing a small bid in prison because of my jacked up memories & declining mental health. Im alive, lost weight & am getting back to the elite (for almost 50)athlete I once was.
You have to admit that the trailer park did like DDP, my dad was a big fan of Tully Blanchard, now that guy could set the trailer park on fire, they hated him with a purple passion.

He didn't have the microphone skills to be World Heavy Weight Champ, but he had the wrestling skills to do everything else. As for Scott, he never busted out on his own until he started to pursue the Big Poppa Chump persona. My dad meet Rick in the gym in Marietta Georgia, he was a pretty good guy, drove a nice car too, also had a damn good looking girl friend.

It's not like page invented scripts. Macho Man was doing them long before Page was. Page's problem was he didn't know who to read the room and kept trying to get people to follow scripts even if they didn't want to. Trying to get Taker to follow a script, despite Triple H telling him not to, was one of the dumbest things he did. The WWE push he was supposed to get went bye-bye after that.
And now its pretty much how Macho and Page did it, makes you wonder, now usually though the wrestlers have less opinions on the matter.
