Let's never lose hope that a third Burton film with Keaton in the lead role will one day be made.
I think that after the success of Beetlejuice2, it's only a matter of time.

And have Akiva Goldsman penning the screenplay for it with Michelle Pfeiffer returning as Catwoman, Chris O'Donnell returning as Robin, and Alicia Silverstone returning as Batgirl, just to honor their friend Joel Schumacher, while they're working on the Schumacher Cut of Batman Forever.

yes, this is the stupidest subtitle. Already in the 1990s I felt that something was wrong with the name of the film itself. Forever? this sounds like a declaration from BatFan.

@@philipd3931 Speaking of workprint, writer Akiva Goldsman said in an interview that he had seen a workprint of Batman Forever called "Preview Cut One", which is a dark and psychological one before WB put Tommy and Jim on the forefront. After Discovery bought WB, Akiva work with them on the Schumacher Cut of Batman Forever and will cost Akiva $1 million to make and to add in new music and new visual effects. Akiva said that it's a better film.
And last year, Kevin Smith had seen the November 1994 workprint of Batman Forever in a thumb drive Joe Black had given him, which had cartoon sound effects, a darker character arc for Val Kilmer's Batman, the Elliot Goldenthal Batman Forever main title march, and temp music (consisting of Goldenthal's own scores for Alien 3, Demolition Man, and Interview With The Vampire, Danny Elfman's scores for Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, Beetlejuice, Batman 89, Edward Scissorhands, and Batman Returns, and Carole Pope's song You Can't Go Back). The Epic Film Guys podcast seen the 11/94 workprint of Batman Forever at SmodCastle Cinemas, also last year.

If only Warner Bros. didn’t care more about quantity over quality

Well, that's not really the case. Tim Burton had one meeting with Warner Bros. and they demoted him to a producer role, due to the reception of Batman Returns. So, Tim hired his friend Joel Schumacher to continue with the franchise after WB approached Joel while Joel was getting ready to film The Client (based off the John Grisham novel). After Joel was hired, Tim help out hiring Lee and Janet Scott Batchler to write the screenplay for the film with help from Akiva Goldsman.

WB made this absurd decision based on Ronald McDonald's shitty criticism, which has as much in common with Batman as Donald Trump has in common with Amish tradition. And so the Burtonverse and the entire franchise were put on hold. It was only years later that Chris Nolan came to the rescue with his outstanding trilogy that wonderfully opened this millennium.

@@ESTYMANAGRANIATV Well, Batman Forever is dark too, because Val's Batman was dealing with his duality. Batman Forever had a good balance of bright and dark, and Batman: The Animated Series was a huge hit at the time of the 1990s. Writer Akiva Goldsman had confirmed the existence of the Schumacher Cut of Batman Forever, which he said that it's a darker, more Batman centered film.
Don't get me wrong, I loved the theatrical version of Batman Forever, because of the way it fits into Tim Burton's filmography and Jim Carrey's filmography, Tommy Lee Jones playing an awesome Two-Face, etc. Everybody still think that Michael Keaton is their favorite Batman, or George Clooney is their favorite Batman, despite the credit card, but my favorite Batman is Val Kilmer. Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman was the only thing I like about Batman Returns, and Alicia Silverstone's Batgirl is the only thing i like about Batman & Robin.

Actually, it was Joel Schumacher who wanted Michael Keaton to return as Batman for Batman Forever with the Batchlers writing it with his voice in mind before Val Kilmer made the best interpretation of the character in the film, and Joel is also the one who wanted Robin Williams as The Riddler before Jim Carrey was cast.

That's because the "Tim Burtons" cut of Batman Forever is damaged and it's being reassembled. The apostrophe will be added once Warner Brothers has greenlit the project.
