Very interesting. I have been a bit curious about Eldritch Knights for a while now. They seem intriguing. I am not normally a fan of having to stretch my ability scores a bit more. One of my favorite gish-type characters is a Hexblade/College of Swords Bard multiclass where I normally have to only worry about around one ability score but I will admit that you have me intrigued to the Eldritch Knight. Keep up the good work!
@@The_Arcane_Eye Yeah when I play gish-type characters, I tend to lean more into the spellcasting. However, one level of Hexblade with the rest as Swords Bard also make them really tanky. The armor and the shield proficiencies from the Hexblade and the Shield spell and Armor of Agathys and also the Defensive Florish from the College of Swords Bard helps to boost the AC. So, with that, the character can have a more variety of spells and also be a really good tank.
I have a question. I don’t have the digital version of the 2014 PHB so I only have the basics. Do I need to purchase it digitally to gain the ability to become and Eldritch Knight? Answering would be INCREDIBLY helpful
24AC first level... warforged(+1AC) Forge Domain Cleric(+1AC) plate and sheild (20AC) and access to sheild of faith(+2AC for ten minutes). Now add your fighter levels with fighting styles and what not.
What's your favorite Eldritch Knight build? Let me know in the comments!
Thank you for your build guides! Very detailed explanation, so immediately want to try them out. Definitely waiting for more cool builds!

I love me a Hexblade dip! My favorite is usually a Hexblade/paladin, but the bard sounds interesting because you get a full caster out of the deal.

You can't have plate at 1 lvl unless your dm gives one to you or you steal it, or get some other way during play, nothing of those is a given.
Just found your stuff! Im working on a Dex EK and having a blast!
Can dragonborn be a good race for eldritch knight? if not WHY?
Ugh! Another Variant Human build…
