We need a new hitting coach! Every time we sign someone or trade for someone who can hit, when they get here, they forget how to hit, and then leave here and start hitting again! It's definitely the hitting coach!

If Julio could get right with regards to home runs , the offense would get a nice boost.

The Hunt trade is a real head scratcher because the throw-in catcher we got along with Baumann is closer to the type of lower level player a team normally parts with for a guy who was recently DFA'd. Instead, we gave up a player who was doing well in Triple A and should've made the Opening Day roster over Zavala anyhow. He could've been called up, given us competent backup play and the opportunity to give Cal a few more much needed days off.
Also, don't expect Baumann to be that good. Two more walks today puts him at 11 in 18.2 innings. Last year, he walked 33 in 64.2 innings. Maybe he's a slight upgrade over Bolton, but that's not a high bar to clear. The organizational downgrade at catcher was not worth it.

Got bailed out by some fluke wins in Baltimore and New York, otherwise we are talking about how this team looks like a one and done playoff series team. These 2 series and the series against Minnesota make that pretty clear. All the pitching in the world won't matter if you can't score runs.

Julio has sucked this month. He is the problem. His base running sucks. He looks so bad. He has 3 RBI's this month. 1 was from a HR on Mothers Day. We need to learn how to hit. Today was a bad game.
