You give soldiers an offensive mandate to Face and destroy a particular enemy. The soldiers execute the mission by engaging the enemy and they are the ones who get destroyed instead. Then you cry foul that these soldiers weren't supposed to get killed....Was the enemy supposed to shoot flowers? C'mon guys

Don't be stupid. Dynamics have shaped otherwise hence the reason eyebrows are raised as to why would the SANDF are attacked while the DRC are surrendering to M23 now remember it's tribal war directed to DRC government. Now SA army no longer knows who the enemy is. Fix the way you think. The call for them to come back is a smart move.

@@jukes9867 U just don't understand what's going on here. It would rather be helpful for you to seek information 1. On the conflict itself (the history of armed groups in the Eastern DRC as well as the conflict between the DRC and Rwanda following the 1994 genocide in Rwanda). 2. South African involvement in peacekeeping and stabilization missions in the DRC. 3. SADC interventions in the DRC. Get some information and come back so we can engage. For now, you are just running your mouth but upstairs it's empty.

I am really confused. The country of mighty Mandela has stooped too low. You made a big mistake accepting to be pushed around by Tshisekedi until you joined force FDRL, a genocidal force. You fought M23, an armed group fighting for their country, DRC. SA is lying to the people. You've got only one option for now. Be humble and ask M23 to release your soldiers, both the deceased and those who are still alive. I am sure you are exploring the option of doing it by force. You will attract more humiliation. Kagame would have helped, but Ramaphosa decided to play the big boy. I am sure he is regretting by now.

Why would the generals who tasked allow a situation like this where you are defunded to extent of being toothless and leave the country exposed for foreign invasion.. We are so weak that the mighty Rwanda is poking at nose and there is nothing we can do! Crazy!

    • @lenzvital2776

South Africa shouldn’t be in this situation in the first place. Why would they be in the DRC fighting Congolese while claiming to be “peacekeeping”? I’m not taking sides here, but what reaction would you expect from the Rwandan president after your President’s Twitter/X account called his army a “militia”? Would you really expect him to respond respectfully or appear weak in the face of such obvious disrespect, especially when this entire saga and its problems were arguably created by South Africa?

I can tell you the SANDF Mission was an arrangement between Ramaphosa & Tshisekedi!! This is not the SA we knew! It is shear exposing SANDF's reputation to fight along side Mercenaries and FDLR!!!. A professional Army cannot do that and I suspect that's the East African Force refused to fight.

They were ambushed two times around Sake area and decided to protect the city Goma in otherwards they were moving around the city (From Goma city center to near Sake area called Bambiro). They had a very big shame for being defeated by Labels and decided to lie that they killed many labels.
