I started watching channel 8 when I was 8--in 1950. Surprised to see the clips of the Frito Kid. Bob and Agness Stanford were first class. He is credited with naming the Slurpee. The first three stations in DFW were owned by the local newspapers. The competition between the owners fueled each one to the greatness of their products. My two favorites are Jerry Haynes and Mike Shapiro. Jerry took on every task handed to him and excelled. Mike Shapiro made the station number one in every way.
