It was a perfect storm last year. We lost 18 players to the NFL, had an entire staff turnover and it all happened as late as possible because they won the natty. Because that was the last game, all the transfers were done and we had to deal with no QB. For those that say we were told we had a QB, if you didn’t know the team, then you believed that. However, if you knew the team, you knew we didn’t have one but the coach would never tell the media we don’t have one prior to the season. He had no chance to get a QB coming in as a new HC.
I keep going back to the fact they won 8 games without being able to throw but I don’t think their OLine good enough. It wasn’t good last year. You’re losing your two best and can’t even bring in a D1 transfer.
They may but I can’t see it . Better cordinator and better coaches at Michigan . Only things is Oklahoma will definitely have the better qb but with Michigan sometimes that doesn’t matter
@@di114n2understand we might have a freshman at QB, but we also might have a better QB. We’ve seen a few freshman Quarterbacks be legit studs in college.
@@minenotyours-y1p Yeah I’m just not going to have crazy expectations for Bryce . I think right now if he knew the playbook he’s better than anything we had this past year but freshman qb working out is rare in their first year
We heard the same things coming into this season and had no qb's that could pass the ball.
Sounds like Ohio Soft confidence
I hope they keep this going

2026 is their year
OU fans are very confident they will beat them in Norman with Mateer.
