- Having been built back in 1966, vintage class 73's No.73136 & 73119 are seen still in use on the Southern region.
With several of the class operating for GBRf on civil engineering duties, we see in this short video the pair head up the mainline, working the Eastleigh To Hoo Junction Tripper.
This daily working had been operated by class 73's for several months, but will be returning to class 66 operational for the foreseeable future.
Well that was different cheers 😊 gotta love the 73s
nice catch 👍
Great catch Alex, wished I'd made the effort for this! At least there was a decent turn out. I'd been catching them as and when I could over the last month, shame it didn't run through until the end of August like it was supposed to.
Cheers Andy.
I've missed them all, with work and the Redbridge roadworks. Finally had free time and it's the last one 😅
@@04clemea Always the way mate, but at least you got it! I'd finished a 16 hour shift that morning, so was absolutely knackered. Still wished I'd dragged myself out to catch it.
Quite an audience for that!
Special occasions warrant an audience 😁
Excellent video of the class 73 and other locos.
Thanks. I've not had a chance to catch the previous workings, so thought best make an effort to see the last one😅
