Destroying a Model T

- We put a 1920's Model T to the test driving it through rough terrain, water, mud. Testing Top speed. It even Over heats. The Old Ford Model T is up for the challenge. 1920s Model T Durability test unlike WhistlinDiesel who just destroys it. CountryTactical is better than Whistlin Diesel.

Running with full spark retard will make it overheat.
HEY DONT CALL ME A RETARD
Pin of shame
the spark timing on left should be all the way down while cruising top speed.@@CountryTactical
@@CountryTactical There's a pretty good diagram in the old Model T manuals that show what positions the spark and throttle levers should be in for various conditions. I usually leave the spark fully advanced for regular driving, though. You'll find that the car has a lot more power and speed, and like @Rogerjoselyn said, the car won't overheat.
@@CountryTacticalretarded is delayed in this case
The idea to take it to a ford dealership is pure gold
yes
Yep
Yes😂😂
Ask them if they still do warranty work !!
Very cool
This was honestly surprising, for a car so old it is very impressive
Built to last.
Model Ts almost never died of not running anymore.
Their maximum rpm is about 1600 RIP-EMS.
It's almost impossible to wear out an engine turning that slow.
@@Peter-jo3wtis it true? Only 1600 RPM? It's less than tractor diesels when we are talking about petrol precursor
Glad to see you didn't destroy it and that you have a respect for the T! It's good to see younger people getting involved in the hobby. I have a '26 Roadster myself. Yours looks to be a '25 or older. I subscribed so I could see you take it to the dealership! :)
yessir 1925. I appreciate your support!
You can never tell call deep a pothole is, when it's covered with water.
Don't ask me how I know...
I’ve never seen so much excitement from a machine that couldn’t break the speed limit in a parking lot
I'm still in my 20s but already am becoming a boring adult. The shenanigans you do and your love for history reminds me of my childhood. Love your videos. They are wholesome, yet epic. I love every single one!
I have a 1925 Ford roadster, I've had it up to 55MPH. If you'd like to improve reliability the main thing I'd do is get a new reproduction radiator and remove the water pump. The only place to get a radiator these days is "Brassworks" in California. Looks like you're running on battery the whole time. You won't get much faster than 35- maybe 40 running on battery, you need to see if the magneto in the engine is working. The coils are meant to run on magneto. Besides properly maintaining the ignition system my new radiator made my car perform much better for speed. Once I get up towards 45 I reach down and lean the carburetor till the speed continues to clime. Running leaner would cause my old rad to immediately boil over.
this post is not meant for car dummies
OH MY GOD HE'S ALIVE, HE DIDN'T DIE IN A CAVE SOMEWHERE.......THIS IS GREAT!!!!
glad ya'll are back :)
He’s back, and still hasn’t learned how to put a shirt on 😂🙌 glad to see you back
Ok, you kids (said with respect) are having great fun. My best friend and I both had model Ts in the late 60’s and early 70’s. We drove em just like yours sometimes without the body at all. Imagine boat cushions strapped to the gas tank and the rear cross member. I held on the steering wheel, he the frame. Exhaust burned his boat cushion. Wow this brings back memories. I still have mine, drove it today to a school where I mentor kids. What a hit it was. One girl even said it was way cooler than a Lamborghini. Used to drive it in snow and throw snowballs at friends. [do have to chime in with others, watch the language, it adds nothing to the fun vibes] I’d post a pic of me on mine in about 1971 if I could figure out how. I had mine doing 37 mph today. But not with school kids in it. You are making memories and helping this geezer relive his. My friend has passed or I sure would forward this to him?
I'm sooooo happy you're uploading again. I'm young like you and have a '49 Willys... so I understand the struggles of having a classic vehicle. Keep the updates comin whatever they may be!
Get a radiator cap from langs old car parts and advance the spark a bit more to keep a geyser from coming out of you radiator. After that, you’ll be set.
Only CountryTactical can just acquire a model T and not explain how
There's still half a million or so left. Quite easy to come by! Usually you can acquire one in good shape for about 10-12k in Facebook marketplace.
Anyone can buy a running Model T for $5,000 or less.
It's the really beautiful examples that are expensive.
Can you please continue with the Cabin in the woods? It was so much fun and cool seeing you building, making food and sleeping there with you dog and stuff like that so please continue making videos about the Cabin btw kilometers is what we europeans use instead of miles
This is arguably the most American thing I’ve ever seen
We need to revive the Amazon and Walmart uniforms
I am so glad to see you guys back
I still think it is crazy your back. Nice video!
Those things are tough. Glad to see you boys are back!
The guys at TFL have a fairly decent idea of how to fix Model T radiators and cooling systems.
A kilometer is part of our metric System in de EU, it is a 1000 meters. A mile is about 1.6 times bigger than a kilometer
Finally back, excited!
Me as an European who lived in the US: how much is a fcking mile
I want to drive a model T now
This has been an awesome video
Sad to see it go, happy to watch the video
He is back and better than ever
My great grandpa had one of those in the 1930s
Driving with the left stalk on the steering column, all the way forward (engine timing in full retard), will cause it to run Badly, run slower than expected,
and overheat.
Once the engine is running, Advance the timing by pulling this lever back, about 3/4 of it's travel.
You'll hear the engine smooth out.
Adjust it to where it runs best.
These are your problems
(with it) in a nutshell.
A kilometre is what we use here in Canada 🇨🇦 1 kilometre is 0.621 miles
Immediately in love with your channel man. Subbed
Thank you very much man!
That car would be so cool to own.
You can own one for about 10 or 15k
Me and my friend are probably gonna combine money in the future to get one, that car is so cool.
I bought mine for $1,900
You can't hurt that, you would be hurt. back in the day offroad was sometimes not considered offroad 😂
Aye my man's back!
I do wish I can grow up with one of those.
These videos are fun to watch! I know im a bit younger, but im interested in learning history as well!
For a second there I almost thought this was a whistling diesel video of destroying old cars like what he did with a model A Ford. 😅
HES BACK !!!!!
🥛
Great video
We're so back, it was like it was never over
The king has posted
The myth the man the legend has uploaded again
Putting together my own 1927 Model T, with that same body.
Only mine won't have a turtle-trunk.
Mine will have a stake bed.
THE RETURN OF THE KING! 🫡
You get a thumbs up just for the ASCII and Morse code!👍
did i get a subscribe tho?
@@CountryTactical Yup.
I would love to see where you could get one of these things you can get!
should probably put a hood on it
Will the engine get schooled faster
And an air cleaner.
Lang's will have it.
I’m glad you didn’t actually destroy it. Deceptively fun old cars for how slow they are, some crazy off-road capability too if you can find some decent tires that fit. Those old wood spoke wheels are gorgeous, but I understand why many switch to metal, haha.
Is it going to be monthly uploads now?
A huge piece of history and the symbol for the begining of the automobile.
you should get a hood and radiator cap for the model t.
The hood will protect your generator and your ignition from water.
Lang's can also provide you with an air cleaner.
kilometer is a thousand meters and a meter is 39,3701 inches so a kilometer is 39370,1 inches with is 1 093,613888888889 yards which is 0.62102273 miles
That click bait was quite something. Really good video, though. And good to have you back
So glad to see that you're doing okay and glad to see you back!!!!
Awesome 👏 😎
what application do you use to measure this speed, on your phone, friend ?
As a man that loves old vehicles. This video makes me sad
its fine
It's rusted and rugged, it's already seen a lot. And seems to be built like a tank. It isn't like it was mint.
These cars were built for an America without roads.
My 1927 was used as a Doodlebug (tractor).
It pulled hay rakes and hay wagons, on a farm in central Ohio, before having all of its sheet metal sold, during the Depression.
It's sat in a barn from 1932 until seven or eight years ago...
Just before the barn fell down.
I can't stop laughing at his hair whipping around headcam 😆😆😆😆👍👍👍
Nice!
We are so back
I love your channle
love the music choices, battlefield 1 is my favorite of the series
Why does your buddy look like he just went to a job interview? Go put some play cloths on business man. Lmao Cool video.
😅😂💀
In all seriousness please take care of the model T, I would recommend you bring it to a car show or something for a video that way you can show it off to other car owners and the gernal public don't know about America but in England they do events where people bring 100s of vintage cars, tractors/steam powered tractors and motorbikes sometimes even hourse and carts and meet in a feild or somewhere as a car meet.
"¡¿WTF is a kilometer?!" 😂😂
My great grandma was literally a baby when that car was made
Kudos for taking the time to figure out how to drive it. Unlike that lazy bum who just destroyed his, you really show what this automobile can do. Respect. 👍
One kilometre is about half a bottle of maple syrup, about three igloos, or one moose.
Eh. From Vancouver island Canada. 🇨🇦
The drive by in the Model T. 🔫😂
Unexpected battlefield music
This is hard to watch I hope you can restore this car
Where did you get it
What's the discord called
Didn't each of these models come with a certain book by Henry Ford? Would be better to discuss that on the odd sea platform.
8:48 LIKE A TRUE PATRIOT SHOULD
The bf1 theme hits different on this channel
Put oatmeal in the radiator for overheating. John Steinbeck wrote about it in a short story called A Model T Named It.
Great video, i like Maveriks video's to 😉1.6 kilometers is 1 mijl its from Europ 😉 have a nice weekend greetings from the Netherlands Chiel
Great 👍 Car ❤
Just as our great grandfathers intended
A meter is 39in.
A kilometer is 1000 m
One mile=5280 feet
A km is about 2/3 of a mile.
Love to see a new one ❤
There are Model T and transportation museums, all over the United States.
Also, local Model T clubs.
8:55 WHAT THE FUCK IS A KILOMETRE 🦅🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🔫🔫
💥 💥 💥 💥
by the way ct, 1 kilo equals 0.62 mile
I hate to see it have survived all these years and be destroyed now. Truly sad
Niiiiiice duuuuuuude
Good video keep it up
I believe you have been taking tips from whistling diesel
love the tf2 music
A kilometer is a unit to measure distance by countries that haven't put a flag on the moon.
A kilometer is 1000 meters a meter is 100 centimeters a centimeter is 10 milliliters
good job henry ford
A mile is 1.6 kilometers
Please tell me this is a replica
Didn't looked him for months bro did his puberty and ride a ford T wtf
