Step is masculine in Russian, not feminine. Два шага, не две шаги. If only this was deliberate grammar mistake in this Odessa song

Pan Jacek to Polak , stąd "dwie szaga" zamiast "dwa szaga" .

Denis, you are right. But this song is Jewish folklore and the Odessa Jews those days used to have their own grammar rules and their specific pronunciation.

@@wojtekwesolowski1950 i owszem, ale to nie błąd, a celowy zabieg stylistyczny, pan Jacek śpiewa dokładnie tak jak odescy Żydzi.

This is very very organic grammar. The Odessa accent is very stand out accent in Russian language. The grammar of Odessa accent was migrated from iddish language, so there is a lot of strange things for Russian language, and many words from iddish. And pronunciation is specific too. For example, in Odessa language they cannot pronounce a hard Russian 'R'. They make a french grassing instead of it.
      Hmm
I think, we are don't have many accents in Russian language, so we are treat with care with them. The Odessa accent is the main accent. The second one is a Georgian accent. The rest of an accents is a simple prononciation of some letters.

@@KoCMoHaBT61 The discrepancies? The singer is Jacek Koman, Polish. The rest are Australian. A Melbourne band, who play Russian-style music, formed in 2004.
