If you to come ride with us, send me an email at DesertSXS@gmail.com and lets go rip! Whether it's out on my 4-Mile private track or to any of the Side-by-side events, we are ready to go!
So happy for Robby and his customers
No other SXS company would ever do something like this and do a shakedown desert run with their first batch of customers. That's pretty damn awesome!
Polaris does this shit all the time.
Awesome that he invited you guys to go! So cool they are finally delivering cars
First thing I would change is the weed eater exhaust.
So good to finally see this !… these cars look pretty f’n good boy .
🤞
Can’t wait to see a comparison with the Turbo R and Pro R
Do you want to see:
(1) A parking lot comparison of specs, and pros and cons, like what is done with dirt bikes? Maybe a track comparison?
(2) Speed UTVs competing in races?
I want to see all of it. This will all happen in due time.
For now, I am enjoying watching this "against all odds" motorsports story continue.
@@timkuitems4431 I’d just like to see a real world comparison. Open desert, whoops, dunes. I’m in for all of it. I’d really like to see the minimal scrub showcased in the whoops
@@timkuitems4431 A short version of option A for sure. But get them into sand hollow and show us how the 2 match up! Get them up some obstacles and in the dunes as well. Show me trails you ride with them both and how they do...(pls)
@@DoubleTap702 "Minimal scrub showcase" I haven't been watching any of the SPEEDUTV press releases, so are you saying SPEEDUTV is advertised as having minimal scrub throughout the suspension travel as compared to other UTV's?
Very cool! I would have put a deposit down but I’m too impatient and bought an x3. I don’t think I would have bought the smart shox again though.
Thanks for dropping the first content on these you guys are on it
You bet! thanks
You should make a video comparing it to the top SXSs on the market right now.
They don't wanna do that
They have done comparable videos??
Super Cool
Lookin good!
Hey, you guys have recorded history being made!
yes excited to be there for it
Doing good that's 20 or so out of a couple of 1000 you're catch up
Thanks for sharing..!! I think the speed utv are cool... can't wait till u get yours so we can really see..!!
Can't wait!
Nice edited video. I sat next to you at Speed when the Car's came out. You can see the rim and tire of my Tahoe. Funny how you didn't show the real video.
Lol, Unbelievable how many Speed haters on here talkin shit. Its almost like they're being forced to buy one against their will. Everything from "They didn't perform well at KOH" or "They're having problems already". People forget this is literally a Gen 1 car for the brand. If you were to compare this 1st Speed car to RZR's or CanAm's 1st car (try to picture them, lol), I'd say Robby is doing pretty well. Haters are always going to hate though. Its like a defense mechanism for their low self esteem or perhaps not being able to afford one. If you don't like them, don't buy one. Its that simple. There are other brands out there. I'm not a big fan of RZR after owning 2 of them myself but I'd be the first to congratulate them for their evolution on how far they've come and for somewhat pioneering the industry. Anyhow, keep up the good work DESERT SXS, the videos are good. Only feedback I have is to not leave out the downsides of the story. I know these first few cars had a few issues on this initial ride (Chupacabra's grounding out, Rock through skid plate and tranny on another car, amongst a few other ones). Your subscribers are counting on UNBIAS documentary.
"They're having problems already" is being a hater, or someone observing reality? You sound very protective of the cars. I person think the Speed is the best looking car out there, and I'd imagine it kicks ass in some areas of performance, but I also wouldn't buy one based on the problems I've heard. Guess I'm a hater, or I'm just prudent with my 45k
Really happy to see those cars try to get a sandcar built in this timeframe its a friggin nightmare.
I'm interested to see how they hold up! I hope they do great!
Yes me too
Well, a few of them broke down on the first ride so how much confidence does that give you for the long haul? I would wait a couple of years for the bugs to be worked out, that's if they're still building them in two years. I raced dirt bikes for thirty years and this reminds me of the Cannondale motorcross bike.
Thx for getting this Speed ride video out
No problem 👍
I heard someone did blow a transmission they hit a rock bashed through the skid plate and destroyed the transmission.
Yep one bad driver
So, these are Robbie’s car design, but made in China?
Did you meet Carl Sykes?
Can’t wait to get my first ride in a Speed.
me too
Great coverage
This was an easy break in day (Saturday) Were you inited to return for the 100 mile ride today?
So cool you guys could be a part of that!
Cool thing to be too
for sure
Them hisuns are nice
I'm glad I didn't order one straight away. I was afraid of the "bugs" so I got a pro r until we see how thing pan out .
You're glad you didn't buy one of the early ones, so 5 years later you can buy a Polaris Pro R to see how Speeds bugs will pan out.
@donm.1068 he's obsessed got a valid point with a brand new company like this, and he's now been proven right, but you're obviously one of these fan boys. This car is looking worse by the day
in havasu!
Haha funny ending
lol
Epic
Who makes the suspension?
Freedom in America
Ripping on a hwy w a desert buggy w turn hazards ha ha
Judging by KOH good luck most are reselling anyway!!
Just deliver the dam cars already.
So did they actually get to take the car home??
i don't know why anyone would want to.. they're all getting detailed and fully gone through, serviced, and new gear boxes. I certainly wouldn't turn any of that down
@@Trader350 I guess that's the difference between your version of delivered and mine.
@@1mmorgan writing a check for a car that's not done would be a tough pill to swallow. I'd be curious to know how that conversation went. Folks are excited to be part of the R&D process though, I think that's how they sold it.
Jesus I'd be like just give me my damn car and let me go home lol
He can't because they still don't have all the problems and bugs fixed did you not see KOH 😆!
Still doing shakedowns good grief
What location are you at
lake havasu az
In Utah or Phoenix
Havasu
lake havasu az
incar it rides like my rzr
pro r ultimate in comfort mode might ride better. not sure how they had em adjusted tho
When I buy toys I bring my trailer and leave with it. My daddy don’t tell me when and how to drive it
That's what I told your girlfriend......
Then keep buying what you are buying. These early Speed buyers know what they are buying. They know they are buying an experience of a lifetime. They are a part of Robby, and all the Speed UTV crew, achieving the impossible. No doubt, Polaris and CanAm build amazing machines. They will continue to get better too. The Pro-R was a big step up. Keeping up with Polaris and CanAm will be a constant challenge for Speed. Part of enjoying a Speed is enjoying the "against all odds" David vs Goliath challenge. Robby's dad raced off-road, Robby has raced his entire life. He's probably the most iconic name in off-road racing. Love him or hate him - of course - I get all that.
@@timkuitems4431 experience of a life time lol. Robby a few more months and broken parts from everyone regretting it. Hopefully not for your sake see you out there sometime
did not do well at koh
Looks like it s***! Looked bumpy .
