They're not only laughing about the fact that he's imitating them, (and PERFECTLY too) but they're also incredibly proud of Kenichi and how far he's come as a martial artist. I don’t like it when characters grow exponentially in strength for no reason and get so strong that their feats can’t even be shown properly. Goku has gotten to the point he can destroy several universes and yet he can manage to go all out without destroying a planet or even a city. I realize the explanation for this is ki control but it just goes against all logic for me. Like any universal level character could kill everyone, regardless if there are characters stronger than them. All they got to do is just destroy the universe. I’m glad real life isn’t like Dragon Ball. It would be too dangerous for one individual to be more powerful and durable than the universe we live in. I think I heard that the original voice actor for Miu died (in the Japanese sub) which played a part. There were some follow up OVA's though with a different voice actor if you haven't seen them
As a person who used to practiced martial arts, I do have to agree martial arts do begin with a lot of imitations. So I do have to agree with Kenichi’s philosophy.
And the imitation philosophy doesn't have to be martial arts necessarily, it can apply to pretty much almost any skill like sports, music, cooking, what have you.
love the fact that this 'fight' entire started because Oden couldn't get over that Kenichi win when they were children because Kenichi was taller at time
He couldn't get over the fact that even though Kenichi won he showed him pity and gave him the badge. Kenichi did it as a gesture of kindness but Ryuto saw it as him looking down on him
i have read alot of the manga. I love Ryōzanpaku's Rhythm. That is what this move is called. Also the move where kenichi slides up is called ground contract i beleive
Nah everybody could do what he does because his masters tortu-trained him enough that he could literally imitate their mannerisms because that's what they do to him. Taskmaster just needs to see it once.

Kenichi Shirahama went from a bullying victim and a punching bag to History's Strongest Disciple. What sheer character development. For those who have not seen this anime yet, I highly suggest you watch this old but gold gem of a martial arts anime. Today's martial arts anime is all about fighting in the ring with barely a story or whatsoever. But this, this is different, the anime has got the story and character development of the characters and has the charm and energy of characters that will keep you hooked until the end. So proud of Kenichi, for having come this far. Through his past experiences and hellish training from his 6 masters, he was able to come this far on his own and become The Mightiest Disciple.
this is the kinda show i wish Bruce could of seen as he likely would of been a reference. "Keep what is useful to you and toss the chaff" . Kenichi could be said to be using his own form of Jeet Kun Do. the training after he returns will be even more hellish.
This! This is what I want from a martial arts show. Technique, philosophy, and engaging characters! I need more suggestions of anime in the style of this one.
So Kenichi's Special Ability is one only shared by The Elder? Interesting, being able to copy martial arts by just experiencing it firsthand or seeing it is an amazing trait. But Kenichi goes one step above and finds a way to incorporate multiple styles at once, essentially using Yujiro's Ability, no wonder he was able to beat The Elder in the future. He must have been able to do what MMA Fighters have done and weeded out every single personal or blatant imperfection in each of his Master's Martial Arts and then implemented them together to create a similar but ultimately original fighting style. In other words, the *Ultimate Fighting Style: Descriple Style* By the User putting themselves in a position of learning, they become able to rapidly adapt and mimic another individual's movements, with the rate of mastery depending on how skilled the User is at using this Style. The only requirement is the aptitude to learn and the willpower to endure, which Kenichi has in spades, theoretically as an Adult he could become stronger than The Elder ever could be.
I agree with that philosophy, Martial Art d is the the art of imitation. Especially, when ur a beginner at martial arts initially ur lesson is going to be to imitate ur masters and instructors as best u can. I practiced Taekwondo in the past, and from their we are not even allowed to modify any forms and technique during training, based on specification, unless if we're black belts or higher belt.. Which makes sense that black belts or higher belts are the only one allowed to modify a form or technique, since they have knowledge, experience, and proficiency to back it up. That doesn't just apply on martial arts either, you cand apply that in any fields of study, like you go to become a doctor, you don't go modifying each of the procedures based on your own specification, right in the beginning instead you try mirroring someone more experienced than u.
Its so funny how kenichi is having the biggest fight of his life and his masters are just on the sideline laughing their asses off when they get imitated

I wanted to see him become a master, but by the end he just begun his actual journey to becoming a Master (as in it was definite now that he will become a master if he keeps training). I liked the last fight alot, and used the panels as my background since I loved the manga so much.
Definitely worth a read, however there starts to be alot of ecchi scenes so maybe not for younger people. If your 14-ish it should be fine.
After this where to start manga from wher they held tournament wt chapter pls
I wish they could've shown Saiga in the anime bc he is so fucking cool, but that doesn't until waaay later. I always read his voice in Crispin Freeman's (Uchiha Itachi) voice
Me and a friend when we saw this scene for the first time called kenichi imitating his masters The fist of the five masters
everyone talking, or looking for exuses when kickin kenichi....
Apachai : APAAAAA!!!!
I like how he didn’t attack Kenichi when he was down or shaking
Lmao, he went from super cocky to super confused real quick
6:42 Awww. Never noticed it before but Shigure's so sad he stopped imitating her.
Aww me too that so sad! And kind of cute it's pretty amazing to remember that Shigure for the most part is still a little girl. Kind of like Apachai tho. And then her little thing with Kenichi
@@Sheenifier Shigure's such a lovable kuudere.
@@davidtimmer596 wish she had more anime screen time. Most of her screen time was in the part of the manga that didn't get animated
Yeah. I love how appachai was teasing how Sakaki stands and laughs and when he says that's not it at all Akisame is just "Yes it is. He did amazingly well."
Why they didnt continue this anime (cuz it would have made it as one of the top 3) i will never know
I think I heard that the original voice actor for Miu died (in the Japanese sub) which played a part. There were some follow up OVA's though with a different voice actor if you haven't seen them
There is an ova series that continues the series up to the last arc which u have to read the manga to finish from there if u want
I hope they continue or remake the anime like what happen to Baki. My favorite fight was Akisame vs the Fist of Creation and Destruction.
è Ramurez no not to the last arc the show had like 3 hundred chapters left
True
As a person who used to practiced martial arts, I do have to agree martial arts do begin with a lot of imitations. So I do have to agree with Kenichi’s philosophy.
And the imitation philosophy doesn't have to be martial arts necessarily, it can apply to pretty much almost any skill like sports, music, cooking, what have you.
6:11 Shigure is just the cutest
love the fact that this 'fight' entire started because Oden couldn't get over that Kenichi win when they were children because Kenichi was taller at time
He couldn't get over the fact that even though Kenichi won he showed him pity and gave him the badge. Kenichi did it as a gesture of kindness but Ryuto saw it as him looking down on him
Kenichi's best fight is vs Shō Kanō in dxd turnament, sadly it was not animated
I saw épisode further in the story ( of this fight) but subbed in spanish.
Just not yet VS sho
I also think that the fight between kenichi and the first disciple of yami was a good one too
DukeNightmare the first disciple of yami he fights is Odin (Ryuuto)
My favorite was his fight against the Muay Thai Yomi member (blanking on his name).
On goddddd that bihhhhh was cold asl I’ve read the whole manga 3 times
whenever I watch this, I think to myself: 'that was one awesome judo throw.'
i have read alot of the manga. I love Ryōzanpaku's Rhythm. That is what this move is called. Also the move where kenichi slides up is called ground contract i beleive
Why does this hit me emotionally EVERYTIME I watch it....?
This is one of my top ten favorite fights in animes for sure
Its such a shame the anime ended so early. There's sooo much more to the story. The anime only covers about 10% of the manga.
He got his ass whooped by a mind-blowing experience
one of the life lessons I learned from this anime is that you don't go to a street fight dressed like your heading for a night at the opera.
I just realized he's basically like Taskmaster
thought the same too.
Nah everybody could do what he does because his masters tortu-trained him enough that he could literally imitate their mannerisms because that's what they do to him. Taskmaster just needs to see it once.
I think most would have been hospitalized before actually learning anything.
@@fightingmedialounge519 not if you have a master that knows how to heal you...... actually that's worse cuz it'll prolong the suffering XD
@@derplololol9717 that master of his literally massaged his heart to bring him back.
I really like how grounded kenichis character is
Most of the mc are same
Loved how this show didn't use power ups magic etc. Just raw martial arts. Wish it had more seasons
after all this years a still think this fight is a piece of art , and it,s too hilarious
I want a continuation of this anime so bad
Yeah I just got sad AF. I don't really watch anime But kenechi will always have a special place in my heart and should of been longer
The most we have is I believe 13 ova episodes that lead to the next big arc.
Sadly, Miu's Japanese VA died, so the anime's discontinued.
They really should have given this show a second season
They didn’t because Miu’s VA died on her way to the set
There were some OVAs with Rie Kugimiya taking the role, so they could've permanently cast her.@@maggimaster
His screaming is what really sells this anime, can never not laugh at him screaming
I'm convinced he finally snapped.
Great pick, but he's got some stuff in the OVA that is downright AWESOME
9/10 times dubs are a comedy this included
Josh Grell is definitely one of my favorite VAs right up their with Ian sinclair and Coleen clinkenbeard.
Vados from Black Clover.
Armin Arlet from Attack on Titan
Issei Hyodo from High School DxD
And kenichi.
Dude definitely puts in 300 percent when he does a role.
And Tokoyami from My Hero Academia
@@davidtimmer596 sadly the guy stabbed Vic Mignogna in the back like a lot of those lying VA bastards.
Shigure's face is priceless
I always wondered what kind of beast would come out of kenichis training but like a god level talent in martial arts....... You have to understand the amount of training he has to do jest to keep up with talented martial artist.
I love how shigure just went LOOK NOW HES MEEEEEEEE
I can honestly say that there are few anime that I have enjoyed so much as this one.
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hes so sad man they were best freinds when they were young evil guy ^^ ^^ ^^
Simple changes can throw off enemies substantially let alone different a persona’s it’s not just a fighting style that changes the course of the fight it’s ones mind set that can change every thing
pacing, rhythm, aggressiveness, ect if you change it up you can confuse your enemy greatly
I really wish they would do more seasons of Kenichi
This deserves more seasons. The manga has long been finished, so what's the holdup?
A voice actor died on the way to the studio
I just realized since he switched martial arts styles he just kind of did ultra instinct
i love Kenichi. I come back to this anime regularly
I wish there was alot more of this one not just the OVA's they did a perfect set up bringing up the organization that opposes his dojo in one of the OVA's wish they ran with it.
0:00 How I feel when that beat down isn't how this fight ends.
Through his past experiences and hellish training from his 6 masters, he was able to come this far on his own and become The Mightiest Disciple.
when you fighting someone against multiple personality disorder lol
Everybody gangsta, till some asian guy changes his rhythm
They should have a remake of the anime or continue where they stopped
this anime is still very good as old as it is.
this is the kinda show i wish Bruce could of seen as he likely would of been a reference.
In other words, the *Ultimate Fighting Style: Descriple Style*
By the User putting themselves in a position of learning, they become able to rapidly adapt and mimic another individual's movements, with the rate of mastery depending on how skilled the User is at using this Style.
WHY IS THIS SHOW IS UNDERRATED
The way, his Masters were enjoying him imitating them was just awesome!
I love how everyone just stopped at one kf the fights hit himself against a steel pipe
Got to love how happy Shigure gets when Kenichi switches to her.
The result of training and being pummeled by 5 Martial Arts Masters on a daily basis.
the masters over here just chilling and laughing their asses off 😂 love the vibes
This show was so amazing. Granted he was annoying af sometimes but it had such a good roster of VAs and animation team.
Did anyone notice Shio Sakaki's voice is the same as Mighto Guy from Naruto!!?? Haha same spirit same youuuuuuthh!!
kenlchi is one of my favorites, one of the greatest shows ever
I need this more in my life than ever
i would love nothing more than to have a continuation of the anime, the manga os so good i wish some studio takes up on the task
Bro I can’t believe that this anime is so fucking unknown
Shigure best girl love her reactions.
Shigure is so cute here.
1:17 *When one is able to use and master the Persona Wild Card ability in real-life.* 5:21
THAT IS NOT HOW I STAND
THAT IS NOT HOW I LAUGH
AND I AM NOT FUNNY ANGRY!!!
Okay, this made me want to watch the show, spoiled or not.
See? That's how he looks now!
This series was so underrated I hate when I finished it
These are the ones that should of been longer :(
I know.
You may be able to predict all my moves, but you don't know anything about my masters!
Never knew Vegeta met Kenichi
As he says the first rule is the art of imitation and he pulled it off
