@@martincox7354 The hands are that of a man that works with his hands and his mind. The same as I do. Plus they put a sonogram of his baby on line 2 months ago and He wondered what is going to be like to be a Dad.

@@kyuubinokitsune4270 Having been Field Service Technician for many years repairing many different types of equipment, I've had the privilege of meeting many different women in the same field. 99% of them were excellent Technicians, and some were better than me. The question was "Why did I assume that Hahns was a man "in my comment, and the answer was because of how the hands looked. They were not feminium looking. Women' hands tend to be smaller with longer slim fingers, and sometimes longer finger nails or painted nails.
I am having a hard time believing that all this about referring to" His Hands" is causing all these comments on it when I referred to the music and the video being meditative. if this keeps up much longer I'll just take down my comment and stop doing any kind of positive comment as this whole thing just seems crazy to me.

you don't really need the leather sewing machine, and you can use a skiving knife to do the thing that yeets the extra material off, but no it's really not a well done "diy" it's definitely more for experienced leatherworkers ye
this is far greater than any of those so called "high end branded" bags out there. master craftsman at his best. finest attention to detail, simple yet incredible symetry and design, hardest to execute.
there are definitely higher end brands that cater to people who care about construction, higher end fast fashion is also a thing, and they're different beasts altogether, like air jordans vs nick's boots, whole different market
the lack of burnishing kinda kills it tho
This is the highest end you can get. A master is handcrafting with great materials, the only things would be if one would make custom changes to it to fit the client, but since this is to sell the pdf pattern that wouldn't make since.
You had me from start to finish. I was absolutely enthralled. For someone who spends their life on RUclips, this never happens!!! The filming and editing was utterly superb. This was not only professional craftsmanship, but also professional videography. Marvellously done!! 👌💝🙏

I searched “how to make a drawstring backpack” when I saw this totally gorgeous green bag I of course clicked on the video and fell down the rabbit hole of wonderfulness. Utterly amazing and love how the video was shot. I’m a seamstress but I have never sewn leather. That crossover hand stitching technique was very cool. That bag is a home run. What a skill you have.

it's interesting to watch this as a seamstress because you could make the same bag out of fabric but the process is SO different with leather

So now I have questions: first, I am surprised how long the stitches are between the “straps” attaching them to the body of bag. Is there less force there so that that seam won’t stress? Second, I applaud your mastery of the awl-through with cork. It really is difficult. I like your small cork technique and will try it ...on scrap! Every time I have tried this in the past the top hole and bottom hole are wonky. So the question here is did you do it that way to demonstrate technique? What about prepunching the holes on the connector piece and the wide side piece? Will that work, too? Sorry for so many questions. I do love how you did the side D rings.

Ellen! Thank you as always, I'm so glad you asked those question. First, seams can be stressful due to long sewing intervals. That's a very good question. There'll be no problem with the proper thickness of leather. The hardness of leather is also important. Soft leather crumpled up. Second, the technique of using cork is not as difficult as it seems. The important thing is that the side of the cork should be flat. And the angle at which the awl pierces should be kept vertical. Honestly, this technique is not that difficult ! It's easier to put it on the floor, but once you get used to it, this side is also easily possible. If possible, I'll share more videos about this. Thank you always and stay safe my friend! Victoria C. Where do you live? if in the USA, Rocky Mountain Leather Supply carries the leathers that Hahns uses. He is in Korea and uses a supplier Ezer leather. They do ship internationally, but shipping is expensive. There are a couple of suppliers on Etsy. One is MyLeatherTool, but they are also in Korea. The leathers are Italian, Badalassi, so if you are in Europe, there are likely ways to order direct as well as local suppliers.
