Indeed a nice discussion. Bharat is a secular democracy and will stay as one. Hinduism does not tolerate infiltration or subtle efforts to Semitize her yet genuinely respects all religions. As an ancient faith it does have a lot of confidence. On Muslim invasions.: The great Arabs attacked India at the peak of their power. They could only make footholds in Sindh and Multan and went no further since the Indians defeated them. Raja Dahir of Sindh a greater warrior lost in his last war with the Arabs due to internal dissent. Thus the brave Arabs have great respect for the brave Hindus. Once a Hindu-Zoroastrian Afghanistan was converted to Islam the Afghans attacked India frequently Mahmud of Ghori was defeated initially by Prithivaraj Chauhan and later killed by Khokar Rajputs. In my region of India Sangramraja decimated the forces of Mahmud of Ghazni. Also the Mughals came to India by luck in 1526 and by 1707 they virtually vanished due to the resistance by Marathas, Rajputs, Jats, etc. Maharaja Ranjit Singh thrashed the Afghans and entered Kabul in 1838. Earlier in the South the mighty Cholas captured a large amount of South East Asia. The British came via trade and at independence 70% people living in the Indian continent were Hindus. For example Islam came to my region via Sufis like Shah Hamadan sadly at times zealous neo-converts like the Brahmin Suha Bhat and his brother Hamsa Bhat converted his Hindu community by force. I am from the Jammu region and we Kshsatriyas (Rajputs) know our history. Thus Hinduism has great confidence since we are great fighters as well.
Had he not joined congress , he wouldn't have written this kind of a book, that's for sure.
