You have a very neat and tidy store with a great variety of African Cichlids. I like all your stock, I only wish I wasn't an ocean away otherwise I would be straight round to buy some of the Flavesent Peacocks. Also I could supply you with Frontosa. ( Unfortunately,I don't ship my stock) I really enjoy your knowledge, experience and enthusiasm for what you do. I know it's not easy running an aquatic shop but you look like you have got it running well. Best wishes to you. Looking forward to your next post. Best regards Bob The Fish.
Smartasses😂😂😂... I've been breeding wild caught malawis for many years now and my current favorite is Alounacara Lemon Jake... Lots of love from South Africa...
I love Altolamprologus! Good to know they school. I might create a tank for them with mollies… lots of live food! Baby Frontosas are sooooooo cute! Baby Synos…. Very cute!
I would love to see an adult mbuna. I have only seen juveniles in my LFS. I've read they grow up to 4-6 inches but being able to see full size one relative to something else would be cool.
hey R great fish! what is the yellow fish with some blue on its face in the peacock/haps section? it looks really good imo and can it live in a 30 gallon? if yes how many should i keep together
Thanks for sharing all these species , I have been begging people to identify my fish species. Now I see it in your first tank the Lombardoi (Kenyi) , it was blue when I got it, now it is all yellow after growing to 5 inch. It is so aggressive. Is it true this is the most aggressive mbuna ?
Thank you 😊 if you want any, send us an email with your full address. We often ship to Ottawa (the average shipping price is around 25$) www.quebec-cichlides.com/contact-us
Awesome fish, wish we had a store like this where i live in the Uk, unfortunatly if i would like any mbuna cichlids i have to order online as most only do tropical fish.
I got a question I have a tank full of aggressive African cichlid mbuna can and I have one strawberry peacock and he's the only peacock in there and he's the tank boss and all my mbunas are afraid of him is that normal? Because I was told peacocks are docile
I have a 4 yr old Male Kenyi and he is vicious. Had to put him in a 20 gallon tank with a bristle pleco and he attacks the pleco. Also he tries to attack me thru the glass, his tank is beside my bed.
QuebecCichlides well he was in a 90G and he was playing rough with all of his friends, mix of haps and mbuna, mostly yellow labs. So he is in the time out, QT 20G long tank
QuebecCichlides since he is a male kenyi and orange, i named him OJ, as in Orange Juice but mostly after OJ Simpson that slaughtered a few people. 🥴🥴🤯😳😳
QuebecCichlides he can see the other fish in the display tank and he bites at the glass, you can hear a popping sound coming from his tank and its OJ the kenyi trying to break thru the glass to get at his ex tank mates. If it were a female i would have named her after my ex wife! 😂🤣😳😳
People think catfish eat poop? They eat they non eaten debris aka crap at the bottom of a tank.. not poop lol. I think some have a comprehensive issue when told that. My fave is pundamilla Nyereri ruti island
I'm in the fish hobby too..I like the way she talks, she tells it like it is, just an Amazing woman🥰🥰🥰🥰
We have been thinking of a Quebec trip, your store would be a must stop tourist destination. Great video as always

also can I keep 6-8 demasoni in a 20 gallon tall?
You're probably talking about the Flavescent Peacock. They need more than 30 gallons.
20 gal is a little small for 6-8 demasoni.

Here is a video of that fish, hope I am right about its type ruclips.net/user/shortss_APax4MbrY?feature=share
Definitely looks like a Kenyi cichlid :O They're not the most aggressive cichlid, but if not kept with compatible fish, they can get pretty intense.
Thanks, appreciate your advise
Hi, what's the fish that appears at 4:16? Thank you 😊
Placidochromis johnstoni solo :)
when do haps and pecocks develop color, it seems for ever?
Love all your fish way nicer than Big als in Ottawa

I'm surprised that you don't have any in the UK. There aren't many stores like mine here in Quebec.

Strawberry peacocks and be intense sometimes. :) It's normal
One of my Snow White African cichlids got his fins nip really bad do you know any good ideas to take care of him I already took him out of the tank

Its not the ideal environment for them. He needs a bigger tank and more cichlid friends ;)
