Hi mate, I know you mentioned leaving the F1 videos alone from now on, but have you ever considered creating a custom back for the Pocophone? The downside of it for me is the aesthetic materials used (I know that's why it's originally cheap), but creating a custom back for the phone would take it to a whole new level of quality. You'll have the software, battery and then the design too.
@Failtech - I fully understand your complaints about notifications etc, I had endless problems with WhatsApp. But the ethos behind MIUI is "aggressive and restrictive management by default", so apps can't do much unless you explicitly tell the OS to allow it, this help preserve both battery and security. Which actually can be quite useful, I remember with my Nexus 6 finding what was killing the battery was a nightmare, same as effectively ensuring Apps were no accessing stuff I didn't want too (for example, the Bose app demanding access to my location, WTF would they need that?)
Use Syberia OS and flash the Franco Kernel (By using the Franco Kenrel App its 3£ in the P.S) Those both do magic, and you can get even more battery as Franco kernel has Power Saving, Balance and Performance mode, which you can toggle from the QS tiles. Poco with Miui Dev and Gcam is the best combo imho. It's nice a device gets a lot of custom love, but at the end of the day, there's always something not working as it should. Miui is not the best but all things make sense and there are literally tons of settings and customizations. After flashing roms for years, this one is so solid i dont really see the point of switching to a custom rom. Gcam would be a good reason, but since it works natively on miui beta rom, its pretty much a complete package.
Planned to buy this poco. But still has a doubt whether to buy or not. Reason is when you played a couple of mins, the touch sensitivity starts to fail. Like you should have to restart it.
This is totally amazing this is going to be my next phone and this is the ROM i am going to use as well. I am currently using a Xiaomi Mi A1. Where is the giveaway link?
Just wasted 3 hours of my life last night. Tried at least 3 or 4 different custom ROMs and I'm back to MIUI now. A lot of good features not working on custom ROMs and I never got a good result on Antutu Benchmark
Using Lineage OS(the unofficial one) on my poco as linus tech tips says that the Pixel Experience is buggy. I'm so satisfied with the performance and the touch issue from MIUI was fixed. It's odd because I thought the touch issues were hardware-based and can never be fixed by software.
Good job, but Lineage is extremely light on customisation, so I'm confused why you mentioned it. RR has customisation, but it's pretty heavy. I feel AEX strikes the best balance between customisation and simplicity.
I'm running Pixel Dust on the Pocophone, a variant of Pixel Experience with some little extra customization. It's a lot of miscellaneous stuff and nothing is VERY important, but tinkerers will certainly appreciate some of the options. But I am having video autofocus issues here, and apparently I am stuck without permissions to launch camera while locked. When installing a custom ROM, be prepared for minor glitches even if others say it's perfect. Otherwise, it's miles and miles ahead of the terrible MI UI!
the only reason why im sticking to miui stock rom is because of the full screen gestures. im so used to go home by swiping up from the bottom of the screen and swiping at either left or right to go back. if somehow they can add this gestures features in the pixel experience rom, i would flash it no doubt
Never installing anything on a phone again after my S8+ lost it´s ability to use Google Pay and other very important bank/identity apps I had on my phone. It worked at first with a bit of help from something called Magisk, it was however a constant battle vs newer security updates .... just ordered an Umidigi F1 for 150 US dollars, also done with flagship phones. Good quality video btw, enjoyed it.
@@carlronc6183 I installed samsungs own rom and updated it as needed. It functioned perfectly but Google Pay and the Danish ID apps all detected that Knox had been tripped.
Hi. I've got a question for you. Is the touch issue fixed or even present at all in your experience? I'm on the edge of getting this device. whats holding me back are the issues that poco f1 users say they are having. thank you.
Hey bro, how do you handle payment apps? because as I know, I have a rooted Moto G3 and it doesn't let me use those UPI based payment apps like PayTM, GooglePay, PhonePe, etc. So I'm planning to buy the upcoming RedmiK20Pro/PocoF2 so if I flash the new Pixel experience ROM on top of it, how would I be able to do the payments online? because that's what is bugging me the most
Do all the custom roms pass the safetynet check? If not, this limit the rom tremendously in terms of functionality, given that today many apps require the pass of it.
Did it make the pictures any better? You should have taken pictures with it, then same pictures with the miui and compare them.. The apk I've seen only play with the colors.. They don't bring out more details or eliminate the noise any better like the pixel does..
Try POSP ROM , you might have not heared of it but it's similar to Aosp ROM . It is most stable, battery life is hell good . Try it out just for one week .
I'm very happy with LOS16 (not rooted) Though I haven't tried other custom ROMs as this is also my main phone that can't afford any down time. I wouldn't call XDA a "dodgy website", and the pixel-camera apks work pretty good.
Rims are always good, I used to love Paranoid Android, it was stellar on my old LG G2. But then I went OnePlus, a 3t now a 6. Does the Pixel ROM come with OTA updates. Paranoid did and I always loved that. The OnePlus gets them too.
I've got a custom MIUI 10 EU rom, but I wonder how's the battery life on Pixel Experience? Because MIUI is running fine for me but I don't know if I should change, Also, I wonder what's the score on ANTUTU score?
Easily, without a doubt, the best ROM on the Pocophone at the moment is crDroid. It's phenomenal. I've used a lot of ROMs over various phones, and this is most impressive one I've ever used. Install it, then install AnXCamera (Miui 10 camera magisk mod) and Fluid NG for full gesture support (which is better than stock Miui gestures).

Using Lineage OS(the unofficial one) on my poco as linus tech tips says that the Pixel Experience is buggy. I'm so satisfied with the performance and the touch issue from MIUI was fixed. It's odd because I thought the touch issues were hardware-based and can never be fixed by software.
@@hououinkyouma1458 oh. the latest pixel experience? I might try that one. thanks mate
Bro is the touch issue fixed on global miui?..I mean I'm on global I feel touch issue is just improved but it still exists.
@Rowdyy Ronnie u mean miui 9.1.24? I'm on 10.2.2.0
@Rowdyy Ronnie dude ik..u didn't mention beta so thought global!! Will try that!!:)
Does lineage os support ir face unlock? I heard driver for ir in poco hasn't been released yet.
Good job, but Lineage is extremely light on customisation, so I'm confused why you mentioned it. RR has customisation, but it's pretty heavy. I feel AEX strikes the best balance between customisation and simplicity.
Since you switched over to pixel experience rom on POCO F1, are you getting monthly updates from Google?
Pocophone is better than all iphones despite x version
gamez buddy hahaha no it is not.
Despite x version?
bet you didn't have iphone x, sure poco is fast and cheap, but better than iphone x?
nope
I like how 23 people liked it.. it's not even close
Minus Oled
Oh yes! I should custom rom my phone too. The system and bugs are slowing my phone too T-T
Well I'm addicted to MIUI's navigation gestures. MIUI gets the job done for me(except GoogleCamera stuff) and I'm really looking forward to MIUI 11
the only reason why im sticking to miui stock rom is because of the full screen gestures. im so used to go home by swiping up from the bottom of the screen and swiping at either left or right to go back. if somehow they can add this gestures features in the pixel experience rom, i would flash it no doubt
IS working on Banking apps a problem with the Pixel experience on the Poco F1?
Never installing anything on a phone again after my S8+ lost it´s ability to use Google Pay and other very important bank/identity apps I had on my phone. It worked at first with a bit of help from something called Magisk, it was however a constant battle vs newer security updates .... just ordered an Umidigi F1 for 150 US dollars, also done with flagship phones.
Good quality video btw, enjoyed it.
could have just removed the rom from the s8
@@carlronc6183 I installed samsungs own rom and updated it as needed. It functioned perfectly but Google Pay and the Danish ID apps all detected that Knox had been tripped.
Thanks for this video 💕
Very very nice sir love the video!!
Once you install any different rom do you still get uploads for the specific rom??
Hi. I've got a question for you. Is the touch issue fixed or even present at all in your experience? I'm on the edge of getting this device. whats holding me back are the issues that poco f1 users say they are having. thank you.
On EU 10.3.6.0 update it's fixed. All is good no bugs at all.
How is the battery life when compared to MIUI? Better or drains soon?
And what about the unresponsive touchscreen ? That is happenning a lot of times now that i use the phone for 2months. This rom will help?
Are you rooted? Is goggle pay and other banking apps working on this pe rom? Share overall stability and battery life opinion please. Thanks
Try POSP ROM , you might have not heared of it but it's similar to Aosp ROM . It is most stable, battery life is hell good . Try it out just for one week .
How's the gaming ? PUBG runs good as earlier?
Hi, can you still do this on the latest firmware updates ? thanks
does this rom give persion to hd video playback on netflix and other apps?
Nope
That's never gonna happen
As widevine is device locked for poco f1
Thanks for the info
Actually miui got fix for this and we now Have that certification 😎
Please do not remove the video or the links from youtube soon.. i wish to try this once the warranty period ends.
I'm very happy with LOS16 (not rooted)
Though I haven't tried other custom ROMs as this is also my main phone that can't afford any down time.
I wouldn't call XDA a "dodgy website", and the pixel-camera apks work pretty good.
this is the best solution to the poco, but im afraid of installing roms
this is cool sir
Also you don't actually need magisk or root on a custom ROM. I usually avoid it just as it breaks a lot of games and stuff I do.
After installing twrp recovery, is it necessary to install magisk? I only want to use this custom rom.
Rims are always good, I used to love Paranoid Android, it was stellar on my old LG G2. But then I went OnePlus, a 3t now a 6. Does the Pixel ROM come with OTA updates. Paranoid did and I always loved that. The OnePlus gets them too.
great video. many new android users need to know about this. so they dont need to buy new device so often
Does installing a Rom fix the lagging keyboard/digitalizer problem? Or is it a hardware problem?
Very well made!
What kind of multimedia content do you watch on your phone ?
Hey #FailTech is the face unlock still working after flashing the Pixel ROM?
This video was amazing 👍👌
Pixel Experience rom, it has been tested that the stock rom has worse cellular connection to AOSP rom. PE also feels snappier
Can you source that? I'd be interested in why
