The 1200mm Spitfire was my first Flightline a couple years after getting into the sport. It took a while (years actually) before I even considered moving into the 1600mm class. The Flightline P-38 was plane to finally get me over the fear. About a year later I bought the 1600mm Spitfire and Corsair. Actually maidened them the same day. All three are as good as it gets in this sport. Just rock solid on 5000 or 6000 6s. This year I bought the Flightline Tigercat. Equally as good, but there’s something about the presence of the Spitfire and the P-38 that gets them out more than any of the other large scale. Can’t say enough good things about the engineering, the quality of the paint/foam, landing gear and the attention to detail at Flightline. Even the 1200mm Spitfire (guessing 8 years old now) looks great. Only repair has been a couple prop replacements. Thanks for posting the video!
Like you, the Spitfire is one of my favorite WWII warbirds.. I've yet to pull the trigger on one.. This is on the list for sure.... Thanks for sharing..
Might want to check out the Avios Spitfire from HobbyKing. They have some nice features that havent been don e on other models. Gull Wing, hidden servos and control arms, scale cockpit door, difference in radiator covers for the ETO and MTO schemes. Very cool.
These little models are faster than you think. Had one for a couple years. Had an FPV drone chasing me today shooting video. The drone pilot told me we were approaching 80 mph in the straightaways with the pedal to the metal.
Fast is subjective. Since this video i have changed motor and am happy with the performance. Not crazy fast but just enough to keep things interesting.
I have 5055 700kv motor on it now. Also took 2 blades off so that it gets better top end speed with the higher KV motor. I dont recommend leaving all 4 blades on with 700kv on 6S. Amp draw will go way up and you cant get much more speed because of the limits of the 4 blade prop. It ends up creating more drag rather than thrust. At one point i tested a 800kv motor from a V1200. But that was seriously overkill. Flight time also decreased too much.
Currently im running 2 blades from the 4 blade hub. Changed the motor to 500kv. Still running the same 6S 6200 battery. Its much more satisfying to fly. I dont miss the 4 blade at all.
Right on! Thanks for the reply. Any chance you could do a video on the new setup sometime? Also would you mind offering a link for the 500kv motor? Thanks man and again, nice video and happy flying!
a.aliexpress.com/_mNmjVVE this is the motor im currently running. I have the 500KV model. Im also running a 100A ESC. You will just need a 50mm long Allen Bolt to be able to secure the spinner to the shaft adaptor that comes with the motor. Theres a 560KV model of the same motor. But i would need to increase my ESC to over 125A. The 500KV option with the 2 blade prop already flies so much better. But i am tempted to try the 560KV at some point.
@@all_rc thank you man! I have the flightline Corsair in addition to the spitfire and I put a rimfire 1.20 in it with a 2 blade prop. It’s an absolute dream to fly with gobbs of power! I’m going to try your rec with the 560kv motor. Thanks again
Your Corsair setup sounds awesome! Wish it were as easy to change props and spinner with the Spitfire. I have the FMS 1700mm Corsair but changed the motor and went to 2 blades also. RC planes just fly much better on 2 blades.
@@all_rc it is a cheap Hookl 1200 mm p51 but it flies great and was only 160 it is the traditional silver and red scheme I think it says Marie on the side, looks amazing flying scale

Nice Spitfire and well flown by the pilot.

@@all_rc Appreciate the tip.... I will..
@@all_rc I just bought this plane... Looking forward to maiden... Video forthcoming... 🙂

Nice video! Just curious what would you recommend to make it a faster flying model?

👍👍 smooth and scale!!
if those propeller blades are removable try taking 2 of them off and give it a speed test...
Impressive! Love your videos!

Nice!!
Nice scale flite that's how i fly my Mustang
Thanks man! Which Mustang are you flying?
