Any downside to using v bar style chains over D link?

We checked out the owner's manual, which recommends installing chains only on the front wheels. Due to the limited clearance between the inside of the wheels and brake/suspension components, Toyota recommends using Class-S chains, on vehicles with 16-17 inch wheels. The manual states that chains shouldn't be used on 18-19 inch wheels.

I have a 2019 Dodge 2500 with Hankook 305/70R18 open shoulder traction tires.
I also have a 99 jeep Wrangler with same style tires in 16inch.
What chain would you recommend for both in deep snow?
I will be chaining all 4 tires on either vehicle.
The Titan twist-link chains, part # TC3231CAM would be a good choice for the Ram. They are excellent in deep snow and the built-in cams help you get a tight fit. Rubber adjusters like # TCOA2 are also recommended. What is the exact tire size for the Wrangler?

I have a dually f350. Also carry the 1140 Artic Fox truck camper (4,000lbs) can you tell me which style has the lowest vibration? I’m sure studded is worst. Is there a flat link style? What do they call it?

Hi! My owners manual states I have no clearance (2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT FWD). My tire size is 225/60r17, I’m traveling through Oregon the first week of April. Do you have any affordable recommendations? (My manual also says: Use another type of traction device only if its manufacturer recommends it for the vehicle's tire size combination and road conditions. -> who do I ask for this info) Thank you!
The owner's manual does indeed specifically mention that tire chains shouldn't be used with your tire size due to limited clearance to the wheel wells and to the inside of the tire. That being said, we do have an alternative traction device that would work with your tire size. Take a look at the Titan Chain SnowSocks, part # TCH70 which you can see using this link:

I drive a 2013 Ford explorer sport what are the snow chain size I need and do I need to put them on all four tires?
The 2013 Ford Explorer would've had one of three different tire sizes, 245/60-18, 245/65-17 or 255/50-20. Per the owner's manual, cable style chains are the only acceptable chain type that can be used on that vehicle. The cables may be used on the 245 series tires, but are NOT recommended for the 255 series tires due to limited clearance between the inside of the tire and brake/suspension components. If you have the 245 series tires, Ford recommends using cable chains on the FRONT wheels only. For the 245 series tires, we'd recommend the # TC735DC from Titan Chain. Hope that helps!

We have a Honda Odyssey 2018 EX. It looks like P235/60R18. Recommendations?
According to the Odyssey owner's manual, you're gonna need a Class S chain due to the limited clearance between the inside of the tire and the suspension/brakes. The Pewag Servo RS, part # PWRS80 would be a good, fairly reasonably priced option. If you'll you'll actually use them more than once a winter, you'll want something with a more decent warranty than the 90-day offered by the Pewag. If that's the case, Konig chains offer a 5-year warranty. More expensive, you betcha. If you don't want to buy chains every season, go with the Konig # TH01594247.

Due to the tight clearances between the inside of the tires and the brake/suspension components, you'll want to use a Class S chain. The best bang for the buck would be the Titan Square link chains, part # TC2323.

For somethings that's a little easier to install that has a MUCH better warranty (5 years versus 30 days for the Titan chains), go with the Konig Self Tensioning chains, part # TH2004705255.

The 2022 Civic is available with three different tire sizes, 215/50-17, 215/55-16 or 235/40-18.
The owner's manual states that due to limited clearance between the inside of the tire and the suspension/braking components, cable style chains are the only recommend chain product. The manual says that the cable chains should be used on the front wheels only.
For the 16 or 17 inch wheels, I'd recommend # TC331DC. For the 18 inch wheels, use # TC339DC.

@@etrailer I drive a land rover freelander td4 2004. Tire 195/80 R15. These are the best snow tires. because they are narrow. wide tires cannot cut the snow and create a large load. I think I use one of the best snow chains, "pewag off road extreme". but I saw "v bar ladder SDL las zirh" and I think they are even better chains for 4x4 off road driving? I don't think there are better chains ?

We don't carry the 'v bar ladder SDL las zirh' brand chains. If you're driving on icy roads, the V-bar chains like www.etrailer.com/Tire-Chains/Titan-Chain/TC1850.html would be perfect for you, unless your owner's manual calls for Class S chains due to tight clearance between the inside of the wheel and brake/suspension components. Since you're using narrower tires, this likely won't be an issue, but we still recommend checking y our owner's manual. Hope that helps!
