    what if your being forced to sign or you miss the deadline for the claim

    • @Bowerslawmd
      @Bowerslawmd  4 месяца назад

      These are 2 very different questions- Missing the deadline, if you're referencing the statute of limitations could completely bar you from any recovery at all. Being forced to sign the release is a completely different issue that I wouldn't want to address in a public forum. You are more than welcome to reach out to me directly to discuss particulars of your question, even if it is only hypothetical.

    If I sign this does this void my diminish value claim?

    • @Bowerslawmd
      @Bowerslawmd  4 месяца назад

      You will want to read the terms of the release and see if they are proposing a release of just any potential injury claims, or if property damage or diminished value is included in this release.

    they want me to sign my release but I'm still in the dark about medical expenses and what my net settlement take-home should I sign a release for my lawyer or should I get these explain to me before I sign the release

    • @Bowerslawmd
      @Bowerslawmd  3 года назад

      I feel like you should have at least a ballpark idea of what your net recovery will be before agreeing to a settlement/signing a release. I know that there are some situations in which medical bills get reduced prior to disbursal, but at least knowing a worst-case-scenario for net recovery is essential.

    Hi my attorney says you will have 30k in your pocket after billing and everything and now he wants me to sign releasing documents i am worrying if i sign and dont get what he says or cheats me is there another party who can help me in this matter or would he do what he says?

    • @Bowerslawmd

      I would request to see and at the same time sign a disbursal sheet for the settlement proceeds. That should show all of the bills being paid, attorney fees, expenses, and monies due to you.

    I got my car repaired and released to me and i have yet to sign any release forms.
    60 days now

      The releases we're referencing here are mostly pertaining to injury claims, not the vehicle. Often times they will repair the vehicle, and no release will be signed at all. If the vehicle is a total loss, that's different paperwork, that often includes some release language.

    What if there was two insurances involved and they want you to sign a release for one

    • @Bowerslawmd
      @Bowerslawmd  3 года назад

      Are you referring to two at-fault insurance companies, or are you talking about your insurance company and the at-fault driver's insurance company? Most states only require releases for the at-fault insurance company's claim.

    • @Queenofhearttz

      Yes. But the insurance that’s hit me is supposed to be at fault they said. Yet I was only the passenger in the car that got hit. They want me to sign a release of all claim for the insurance car that hit me . Then they said they will go after the other insurance (which carries more money on it’s claim) after I sign. I rather them go to court because I thought signing a release of all claim would stop me from taking any legal action later. Plus I’m not done treatment
